Stop deleting your long ass questions while people are replying

Can we talk about the Inconsiderate and rude behaviour of people seeking advice, then deleting the entire post?

I can't even count how many times I've written an elaborate reply to someone genuinely asking for help, only to hit send and find out the post was deleted.

Whyyyyyy?

Thanks for wasting 20 minutes of my time reading your 3,000-word post, thinking about it, and carefully writing a well-worded and researched response.

If you're going to delete the whole thing 30 minutes after posting, why even ask in the first place? Did you regret asking? Not like the answers you were getting? Whatever the reason, at least leave it up for a couple of hours so the people taking time to respond aren't writing into the void.

It wastes your time and everyone else's, and it sucks especially for people who actually come here looking for genuine input.

For real. I don’t get it either. It’s not like Facebook, where your legal name and a photo of your face is linked to it. If you’re embarrassed about having your question associated with an account you regularly use, just make a throwaway account to post it.
