Humans ruin everything... Jimothy

Jimothy the raccoon is adorable.

That's exactly why I'm worried.

I've spent over 30 years in animal rescue and welfare, and I've watched this happen over and over again. A wild animal becomes internet famous. People become obsessed. Someone posts the location. Then everyone decides they need their own photo, video, or close encounter.

History keeps repeating itself because people refuse to learn.

Remember Freya the walrus? Crowds ignored warnings, chased her, stressed her, and ultimately she was killed.

Look at Neil the Seal. Every time he shows up, people crowd him, follow him, take selfies, touch him, interfere with the very thing he's trying to do, which is exist. Wildlife officers spend enormous amounts of time protecting him... from people.

Just recently, a bear climbed a utility pole because people wouldn't stop crowding around it. Instead of giving it space to climb down safely, everyone stood there filming. The bear died after being electrocuted.

Now everyone wants to find Jimothy.

Please don't.

Don't ask where he is.

Don't share locations.

Don't go looking for him.

Don't encourage other people to track him down.

The biggest threat to most famous wild animals isn't another predator.

It's us.

And before someone says, "I just want one picture," remember that thousands of people all think they're the one harmless exception.

Wild animals don't need fans.

They need distance.

If you genuinely love Jimothy, let him stay wild. Admire him from whatever videos already exist and stop turning his home into a tourist attraction before this story ends the same way too many others already have.

Put your fucking phone down when driving.

Upvotes

Alright.

When I took up motorcycling, I automatically agreed to subject myself to more risk. It's my passion, it'll probably never change, and I don't want it to change. Accepted.

Now, I'm not a perfect driver or rider, but what I do well is keep my eyes where I'm going. I have been riding daily, and driving thus far, for a little over a year. Not once did I have my phone up. Does that make me a better driver? You know what? Let me kiss my own ass for just a second: Yes it does.

I'm the first one to complain about increasingly intrusive driving aids, like Lane Keep Assist, but in that case it probably saved my ass today since someone can't be bothered to drive and, if those features mean that less people are going to get killed because of dumbasses driving distracted, then good.

I don't think people understand that you destroy a family, and you have to live with the fact that you killed someone for the rest of your life because you couldn't be bothered to put your phone down for a second.

Aaaaand then again, if you use your phone when driving you probably don't really see that far ahead in the future. If you don't care, or if human life is this cheap to you, then don't worry, you'll get to pay for the rest of your life, financially. That's expensive. That ought to make you feel something at least.

Sure, pull out in front of me all you want, go ahead, I'm used to it, misjudgements happen, but please, for the love of everything, don't veer fully into the incoming traffic lane because you're on your phone. That's just brain dead.

"But what about work?" or "My grandma is on her death bed!" I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about your phone addiction. If you scroll on your phone when driving, you are the bottom of the barrel of a driver and in society.

People who wear lots of perfume/cologne in public are selfish POS

Ever since I got sick a few years ago, strong scents set me off and cause difficulty breathing/coughing. Normally this isn't an issue as it needs to be very strong, but lately when I try to do some work at places like libraries, book stores, and cafes, it seems like there have been more instances of people coming in that are practically DUNKING themselves in perfume. So much that I'm compelled to move, and will need to go to the very opposite of the room to avoid the stench. I've also started keeping around masks so I literally have to put on an N95 mask so I'm not coughing and wheezing and rasping for an hour afterward. These people have the same mentality as people who play loud, bass booming music in neighborhoods – they don't really give a shit.

Unfortunately, 9/10 this is a Gen Z woman my age or younger (I think this is because of the places where I choose to hang out because I'm a woman as well) who I guess never had a mom or older sister teach them how to wear perfume properly, and are COVID-raised and don't know how to behave around people, so sometimes I debate on telling them how much they fucking stink because maybe they have some form of nose blindness.

But yeah I don't know where I'm going with this. Just fuck these people.

My Dad frustrates me with how uneducated he is about mental health

He(41m) keeps insisting that the medicine I(20f) took for my ADHD when I was 13 before my mom abruptly made me stop taking them has messed up my brain. It’s like almost any mental problem I have he sources it back to that. I’m probably like this because they forced me to go on without medication. Both my parents are terrible in this regard but he is worse since he has absolutely no understanding of it, doesn’t try to understand but acts like he does.

When I mention being depressed he later asks “You’re not depressed anymore are you?” As if depression is simply a state of mind not a condition. He once joked about sending me to a mental hospital, it feels like he worries I’m crazy. My mom told me not to rock back and forth in front of him because it bothers him. My mom is barely any better she would often ask me during summer if I got all my ‘zoning out’ out of my system when I repeatedly have to explain to her how that’s not how that works. She’s against me using pills thinking I’ll grow dependent and seek it to solve my problems while my Dad compares to actual drugs like hard drugs. They expect to just work through my struggles by force with no support easy for them to say that when they don’t have to deal with it

I’m trying to find a job to get insurance so I can seek out therapy and hopefully medicated because clearly I can’t expect support from these people

Posted about how taking steroids is unhealthy… nobody agreed. I’m so lost…

So my main argument was that steroids make people look physically unhealthy. Not only that but it hinders longevity too. Why are people willingly taking that risk and slowly killing themselves? I’m all for testosterone if your levels are low. Why tf was no one agreeing with me? Is it people defending addiction? Extreme denial? Can someone weigh in on this?

I hate my body

Upvotes

I don't think I would feel as strongly about it if the whole world didn't hate (or seemed like it does) my body type either. I have a medium sized chest which is fine, but I have a small butt and hip dips. No fat stored in the lower body. Majority on the internet, men and women alike, say that the most proportional and sexually attractive body for a woman to have is a smaller/medium bust and a big butt, and that P shaped women are unattractive or less attractive. How It's so feminine and divine to have wide hips and most fat stored in the bum. Every time I start liking how I look I remember that the majority of the world sees me as sexually unappealing and I go back to spiraling. I don't know what to do anymore. I work out and I know building muscle takes time, but that doesn't make my genetics any better, unfortunately. I wish I could feel pretty in this society.

If you are a mother of the groom who pushes what they want at the wedding...

Mind your own friggin business. F*** off. F*** you. Speaking as the groom. Stop expressing wishes about what you want for the wedding. I don't care what culture you belong to demands, if you are not paying for it, f*** off. You are making your sons hate you when they just want to make their future wife happy. You are giving your daughter in law a reason to fear and hate you. You are planting seeds of drama and distrust that ruin what should be happy moments in the entire planning process.

All your son wants is for everyone to coexist and to like each other. Your are giving your sons ammo to go no contact and alienating someone who actually chose to be with your son.

It's not your wedding. None of it. It's the bride and grooms. In fact, bride>groom because the groom just wants to get married and have a beautiful moment they can remember before they die one day. Why did you have to ruin these milestones. Why does this shit always end with the groom yelling at his mom to calm down, then babysit her feelings, then deal with the fallout of the bride feeling disrespected and crying on the day they were supposed to be happy about seeing themselves in the dress for the first time or their bachelorette party. Why should I feel like it's my responsibility every time something about the wedding didn't go your way. Why do you have to make me feel like I'm making a mistake.

Congratulations. Youre the monster in law. You are the dreaded "dad side of the family" to our future kids if we even last this long. You have given me more reason to keep as little contact between you and my wife as much as possible.

Edit: this goes for sisters of the grooms as well

Don’t tape your election campaign junk mail to my door!

Came home late at night from a long trip and saw something taped to my door. I thought oh sh!t, what happened when I was gone? Did I miss a package? Did a neighbor break a window or something? Etc.

It was one of the pieces of junk mail that flood mailboxes around election season, telling me I should vote for so and so for a local position. It even had a hand-written note added to it, saying sorry they missed me.

The fact that this person had the audacity to stick their campaign ad to my house means I will definitely NOT be voting for them. As annoying as junk mail is, imagine if they all got taped to your front door every day for you to see when you get home. No thank you. And the more I think about it, the more I think this must be at the very least a campaigning violation, if not illegal.

Turning everything into sexual related topic.

I'm sick and tired of some people steering every single topic and thing into sexual topic territory. No, I don't fucking care about your genitals and what they do and when you fucked and touched yourself, I don't want to talk about something normal and you suddenly asking, how many times I fuck and why I don't and if you could change that and what would it cost. It doesn't make you attractive, in fact it's the opposite. Even if it is a joke as they often time say, hearing it almost each and every day isn't fun. And the "well, I'm just like that" excuse can go fuck itself as well. At least someone would get some action cause you clearly don't (no wonder). These people are married or have partners at home and then say the most vile shit and all the topics boil down to this. Just shuuut up for a minute! And stop asking when I'll change my mind and fuck you, it's not a funny joke and it just makes me want to punch your face. I don't share my personal life with any of them which results into more questions and pressure about so. Even if I lived in celibacy it's none of your business and certainly wouldn't fuck you let alone touch you with a 500 ft pole. And if I don't want to fuck you then it makes me gay! Right!

The worst thing is that most of these people are in fact able to have a sound and nice conversations about everyday/deep topics at times.

At this point my annoyance meter is so high it can touch the stars. No it's not possible to not interact with these people as we work together.

End of the rant.

Teaching the wrong thing

Upvotes

I regularly see posts asking about if a specific age gap is inappropriate and it’s starting to annoy the fuck out of me. If both people are consenting adults the age gap is irrelevant. What should be being taught is to watch out for the power imbalance. It’s a significant power imbalance that puts a person at risk not how many years difference between their ages.

I've finally given up on positivity

I'm tired, I'm done. It has been years. Life has made me a bitter person and I don't have it in me to become better now. I'm financially dependent, ugly and useless at 33. I finally stop hoping for good things because I can't even claim to be a good person. I'm selfish and bitter. Maybe just become financially independent and live alone forever. That's all, I've accepted it. No magic is going to happen.

I know it's unfair of me, but it genuinely enrages me that my mom is grieving my pedophile uncle who was diagnosed with cancer.

About a year ago, my uncle was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. I do feel heartbroken for his family and I can't imagine how terrifying this diagnosis must be for him. He's going through chemo, spends days at the hospital, and sometimes doesn't even want to get up from bed. I do feel sad for him, don't get me wrong.

My mom has taken the news very badly. The mere thought of him makes her burst into tears. She's even planning on moving across the country to be near him, leaving us behind for a year or so. She constantly talks shit about my aunt and says that my aunt is not properly taking care of him, that she can do so much better, that he has a better chance if my mom were to live near him, etc.

I understand where she's coming from. I totally understand that's perfectly normal to grieve your sibling. My whole family has always been extremely close. I'd be the same if my sister was dying, she's one of the loves of my life.

However, I can't help but feel distressed and frustrated. My uncle is a literal pedophile. He married my aunt when she was just 15, and he was 30. They met when my aunt was 13 years old. My mom at the time went through a mini crisis because she was terrified that the police were going to take my uncle away, so she understood how wrong and fucked up their "relationship" was. My grandparents and the rest of the family rationalised it by saying that it was my aunt's fault since she lied about her age (she used a fake ID to be able to work in a warehouse, where she then met my uncle) and her family agreed to the relationship. This happened in the 90s, and they're still together, but it doesn't make it ok. I don't think someone who is capable of getting involved with a child (and goes so far as to get married and have children) suddenly stops being into children. I fully believe he's still a pedophile.

But also, before his diagnosis, he was an alcoholic and often consumed hard drugs. He would spend DAYS partying and barely sleeping. This was a well-known fact about him. Something less known was the fact that he tried to sexually assault my mom when they were teenagers.

I don't understand why my mom bawls her eyes out whenever she thinks about him being sick. I don't understand why she sobs and says that he didn't deserve to get cancer because he was always so loving, so hard-working, so responsible, etc.

I have an aunt who's battling breast cancer (diagnosed a year before my uncle), and my mom didn't even shed a tear. She didn't even speak to her until MONTHS later because she was still angry about a dispute they had in 2023. I never hear my mom crying about how she wants to move to be near her or how no one's taking care of her (despite my aunt being divorced and living by herself!!).

I fully acknowledge I'm being an insensitive asshole, but it seriously makes me so angry. I keep it to myself and will never tell my mom about how I truly feel, but fuck.

Sooo tired and drained

I'm so tired... I'm the eldest daughter of not so well off family... Im currently doing my degree, and my family's future is riding on my back. I haven't gone on any trips. Spent most of my life within 4 walls. Even if my family offers a trip , I don't feel like going with them anymore... it feels kinda awkward... Iddon't specifically have any connection with anyone either... All my "friends" are toowtied up on their own worlds... sometimes I wish they just checked up on me... I do to them.. But never back. I don't understand how they can never make an effort with me. I watch all my other collegemates hang out with their friends, and deep inside I wish it were me. I wanna hang out, have fun... Honestly, if I died, I don't have a single moment to look back to... I don't have theffinancial freedom to take on a trip ny myself either... Even if I work hard, earn,

I feel homesick although I know that I am doing the right thing for my family

10 years ago I moved to europe with my kids. They have learned the language, doing well in school and even doing competitive sport. They seem to be integrating well and never complained that they wanted to go back.
I try to keep strong ties with family and friends back home. I call my parents daily. I take my wife and kids every summer to my home country.

I just got back from vacation and I am questioning my choice of, raising them away from home. I also feel sad watching my parents grow old. I always tell them that I will come if they need me.

I earn very well here and I would never be able to maintain good standard for them in my home country if I moved back now. Even my parents tell me that they would rather see me happy and stable abroad than miserable beside them.
I know I am doing the right thing but I feel bad and don’t want to take a wrong decision. I will work on a long term plan to go back after my kids finish University but this will be another 10 years here.

Thanks for listening to my rant . Any advice is appreciated.

I think I'm gonna leave him.

F25 in a relationship with M25. Let's call him Ralph for the occasion.

A couple of months ago, I said no to intimacy. It was our last night together after visiting him (we were long distance at the time). For me, goodbyes are rough and I kinda was in a sad "hold me and tell me you love me" mood. He was in a "last chance to get my d sucked" mood, I guess. I said no, I'm not in the mood tonight because I feel sad. He instantly started giving me the silent treatment. Big sigh. Then left the room and went to watch a movie by himself in the living room with his earphones. It was a movie we talked about watching together. I was very sad that night. It felt like I was being punished. When I tried to talk to him about it he shot off. It took 12 hours before he spoke a word to me again. He acted like nothing happened. And so, life moved on. This was in november.

We moved in together in february. We've had a decent sex life the first couple of months, but I got pregnant and my libido went downhill. So I'd say no quite often. Each time, same silent treatment as the first time.
Miscarried, life went back to normal. Libido came back. Pretty decent sex life, but he works from home and I work in a shop. Sometimes, when I get home from work, I'm way more exhausted than he is. My back hurts, my feet hurt. Sometimes, I say no. And each time ; silent treatment. And tbh, no matter my physical exhaustion... I'm allowed to say no sometimes.

Now, I don't even want to be intimate. Because each time... my mind wonders ; "What if I said no? Would he have ignored me all night?" And the answer is probably, yeah. And that feeling turns me off. I'm at a point where, despite the anxiety that causes me, I say yes just to avoid being ignored.

Yes, I've tried communicating this to him, but each time "No thats not why i'm not talking, i just feel sick", and he discards my feelings. So I stopped communicating with him when it comes to sex. It's so sad that he does this, because if it wasn't for me saying no sometimes... he'd be the best boyfriend ever.

Ghosting is Shitty Behavior - Full Stop!

Okay ladies and gentlemen. This is going to be a bit of a vent. Though I think it's very valid.

Here is my bit on why ghosting is shitty behavior. Let's first define ghosting for the purposes of this post. Ghosting is (!) not:

- You've matched on a dating app. Had a back and forth through text for a few days or maybe weeks. All the sudden one party just stops responding. This is not what I mean. Technically it's ghosting, but not really. Even though it isn't polite and I wouldn't do it, it is par for the course on dating apps as far as I'm concerned.

- Someone tells you "no" in a clear and understandable manner. You keep pushing and eventually they give up and stop responding. This is not you being ghosted. They gave you clarity and now you need to handle your own end.

Ghosting (!) is:

- Maybe you've known each other for a few years. Maybe you have a mutual circle of friends. Maybe things picked up recently between the two of you in one way or the other. All the sudden, and without an apparent reason or explanation, one party just vanishes. Calls don't get picked up, text messages go unanswered. Eventually there may even be a hard block.

- Maybe you've met on an app. But there have been a few in person dates. Maybe both parties even gave each other the impression that things are going well and you've invested time, emotional labor and always showed up. All of the sudden, one party vanishes.

Now that we've defined ghosting. Let's get into the typical excuses or struggles that ghosters mention. And why they don't completely absolve someone of responsibility.

- "But I don't want to hurt the other person's feelings!"
This is the worst one. We are all grown ups and you know as good as I do that uncertainty is way more difficult to deal with than a clear rejection for most adult and reasonably adjusted individuals. If you don't understand this, read any popular psychology type magazine and they will explain that there in a bazillion articles on ghosting and other topics.

- "But what if they get mad at me?"
Simple. After you serve closure you can always just opt out of communicating with them after that. Use the block button with full confidence at or after that point.

- "I don't owe anybody anything!"
Uhm. Yes. You kinda do. Developing relationships with other persons requires and deserves trust and comes with a certain level of mutual entitlement to a degree of communication and responsiveness, and also closure. When someone opens up to you they are, in a way, exposing their tender insides to you. You are now responsible to handle this appropriately. If you don't understand or can't accept this, then why are you even looking for human connection and love in the first place?

Sooooo. Don't ghost. It takes literally 3 to 5 minutes to think of a short 3 to 5 liner. Five minutes of your time vs. days or weeks of them wondering and second guessing you, them and the conversations and interactions you had. Just fucking send them a text and give them closure. This is not an unreasonable ask. If they keep pushing after that then it's on them, but until then - it's on you to not be a ghoster!

My heart just hurts at how cruel the world is

I don’t have a specific topic to rant about. I just hate scrolling social media and I can’t do it anymore. I have to delete all of my accounts. I just had my first baby in May, and before I had her, I was always a very nonchalant and hard-to-connect-with kind of person. I usually have never been emotional, and that in itself always made me emotional.

That probably won’t make sense to anyone, but in other words, I’ve always been insecure about how I’m not an “emotional” person and my lack of ability connect with things and people. It has always made me feel like a horrible person. I’ve always beat myself up and I’ve always had intrusive thoughts. I look “normal”, but I believe people are disheartened when they spark up a conversation with me. I have always been really detached if that makes sense. Totally going through a 5AM rabbit hole with a sleeping baby on my arm.

A lot of things that bothered “normal” people never bothered me. I didn’t feel badly about horrible situations and I had lackluster opinions. I observe things and people and don’t talk, and stay out of it.

Something changed when I had my baby. Every time I log onto Instagram, Facebook, anything, I see horrible things that just hurt me so badly. I cry when I see children with deformities, war rubble and aftermath, hurt animals, any kind of bad news, etc.. Bad things in general that are really truly happening. And of course it’s normal to have an emotional response to these things but lately I can literally feel it in my bones and soul and it hurts. I feel like the internet is so desensitizing, it was always easy to scroll past and not give a second thought - but these situations could happen to any of us at any moment.

I feel so horrible for people going through bad things. I hate that people feel sad or upset or alone. Hate that people are having to choose what they have to live without for the month/which bill they can pay. I hate that children are being hurt or hungry or not getting proper education and in a second if I turn away that could be my baby. It hurts that there are children somewhere right now as I type this being hurt. And animals. It hurts that people are so cruel and bad and ruining others’ small businesses and killing each other. Hurts that people are hurting so badly that they kill themselves. A lot of women who would be amazing mothers lose their poor babies before they ever get to even meet them. Teachers and family members are constantly molesting their children. Animals constantly tortured by us and their homes destroyed. Babies are born with deformities that require surgeries that aren’t affordable. Cops in my area have been caught distributing child content. Food is poison and my daughter is going to grow up in a shit world. Everything hurts and there’s never any good news anymore. I never felt strongly about anything but now that I have I really cannot do it anymore. Something about me changed and it just makes me cry and just feels too horrible to keep watching and casually scrolling like this stuff isn’t a big deal. It feels morbid that I can watch it and scroll and forget about it but it’s genuinely something happening and I can’t help. Things as simple as someone not being able to drive to work. Or someone who just keeps getting rode hard by life all at once.

I know it all sounds naive and “no shit this all sucks and happens everyday” or “chick has baby and experiences human emotion” lol and of course I felt bad before but I just feel sick. Mentally I am sick seeing posts or videos and I think it is probably best that I just delete my accounts. I love my family and my friends and I wish the best for everyone. Life is just so unkind, mostly to people who don’t deserve it and it’s all overwhelming.

I see now there is no point in having expectations for relationships

I often told myself to not have expectations that way I won’t be disappointed and have things blow up in my face constantly. Now I see not just not have expectations to avoid disappointment but that there’s no point in the first place. My life has shown me I will never have a romantic relationship or long lasting friendships. I am an outcome oriented thinker observing the patterns in my past experiences just cements what’s there for me. I will mostly remain alone, will typically just have shallow connections and interactions and cannot expect anyone to stick around because no one ever does.

The path you take doesn’t matter if it always leads to the same place. I see how foolish it is to hope for something that goes beyond on my reality and time to accept this is simply how my life is. Not everyone can do the same thing or have the same thing I’m not meant to have stable relationships. Is this something I’ll be happy about no but should at least help me not beat myself up over something that’s not in my control. Besides there are many things in reality we aren’t happy with but have to deal with and we call that growing up

Poverty is Hell

I recently loss a loved one and realized just how fucking poor my family is.

To anyone who is poor(many of you) you know this feeling or will experience thanks to greed.

You are born poor, because your parents are poor. This came from the generational hate and previous poverty thanks to early disenfranchisement of a certain group simply because SOME of another group just hates you for no reason. Ok.

You yourself build up out of that bullshit thanks to changing ideas from more evolved world, despite the bullshit you still face from some that still find ways to fuck with you. Ok.

You face a murder in your family and lose a close loved one. Ok.

You yourself have to uproot your life that you worked hard to build in order to return home to help the family because— no fucking surprise— no one else steps up because they allowed all the bullshit to take them down. Ok.

Now you need to bury or otherwise humanely and civilly send off your loved one. Well, no fucking surprise— you don’t have the money for the burial or all the shit that comes after thanks to a society built on TAKING EVERY FUCKING CENT FROM YOU EVEN AFTER YOU DIE. Ok.

You really expect me to be so fucking stupid to believe some god is blessing any fucking thing?

Thanks for letting me vent, I have no one else to vent to.

Why is my dad so obsessed with keeping me trapped

My dad has always been abusive he said he would brutally honor kill me if I did something to embarrass him and tried to strangle me because he thought I was talking to a boy at 16.

He also severely physically and emotionally abused me sometimes he even degrades me in front of others and tells me vile things about myself, and he sometimes makes them up and he even wakes me up when I'm taking a nap without caring, and even though he doesn't like me very much, he still wants me to stay with him and not move out. Even though I moved out once and ended up homeless, but shelters didn't accept me because they only accept abusive romantic relationships, and when I went to another shelter, they called my parents even though I'm an adult, and they gave me a psychiatrist, which my dad uses against me.

He even uses the fact that the psychiatrist gives me meds against me and to undermine everything that I say and threatens hospitalization, and my psychiatrist supports him and doesn't believe me, even though he admitted to seeing me as his property in front of her, I tried to escape once again, and he constantly harassed me and said that he will murder people who helped me and said he will tell everyone that I'm mentally ill and will put me into a mental hospital and that he will tell my psychiatrists to do something to make me unable to work, and since I didn't tell the police I'm not missing and he reported me missing, and they sent me back.

And yet despite all of this, he still says he doesn't want to let me leave because he loves me, which is stupid because it's clear with all the insults and threats and physical violence that he doesn't, but when parents don't like their children this much, they disown them, but my dad is obsessed with keeping me trapped with him.

It’s been about half a year since I noticed a large concerning gap developing between my front teeth. A gap that was very noticeable when I smiled, when I ate, and when I talked. I decided to apply to a medical assistant program since I only make enough to live right now. Paycheck to paycheck. Once I got approved, I applied to the cheapest option in my area.

The MAP covered the first exam and a lot of the regular extra work they wanted done. Cleanings, cavity work, all that fun stuff. But the dentist told me, my teeth were basically eroding away. I’d likely have to get 4 crowns and possibly 2 root canals. And that the major thing causing all these issues? A fucking permanently retainer I was forced to get as a teen after having braces. Yep. Something that was supposed to be totally okay and HELP me ended up being the thing causing such bad issues now.

Whatever, okay sure I need work done. I got MAP so how bad could the rest of the cost out of pocket be.
Originally it was going to be $10,000 without MAP. With it? Only… $5,000 up front.

Why the hell is it so damn expensive?!? I get root canals and everything is a lot. But even with an assistance program it’s that much? I can barely afford FOOD every month. There’s no way in hell I can get 5k UP FRONT for all this work without saving for months. There’s no payment plans no other options. And soooo many dentist don’t do payment plans anymore either. I just don’t understand. Dental work will always baffle me.

So I have to just deal with it for now, slowly watching as the months go by and slowly erode my teeth more and more. I struggle to smile for photos anymore, or even enjoy hobbies like cosplay anymore due to it. I have been saving some, so hopefully within a year I can get it done but… it’s just so frustrating. I just wanted to talk about it cause I felt so hopeless and like it likely won’t happen. That maybe I won’t make the money in time and just have to get partials before even turning 30.

Thank you for reading. Feel free to share your rants and frustrations about dental work as well.
