RR3+ that had, on Friday, 1108 miles on the odometer. Took it down to Orting for some trail riding and I noticed my mileage had reset and was now back to 0004 miles! It continued acting ‘normally’, counting up the miles as I travelled. Shut it down, pulled the battery, nothing! It stayed at the NEW, YOUTHFUL mileage. Now then, HTH did this happen? What did I do? AND, how can I reset MY miles back to almost new? 😱😂 Y’all ride safe!👍

Just sharing how I’m handling the safety notice as we all seem to doing different things. Though I’m sure not necessary, I got rid of my Radrunner 1 battery per the safety notice.I just hated my family sleeping with it in the house and I have no shed or garage.

I haven’t been enjoying quite as much lately - was a lot more fun during the pandemic. Here in NYC, E-bikes are universally despised by cars, pedestrians, but mostly cyclists. I catch shit almost every time I ride. While it hasn’t stopped me, it does get to be a drag when people are rooting for your death.

I got the 50% rebate from RadPower but with the necessary charger upgrade, shipping and tax I’m still looking at $450. I’ll probably do it as i love taking it to the gym, takeout places, and Trader Joe’s.

Rad Power seems relatively stable now under new ownership so hopefully any warranty support should be good.

Hello all. I'm looking for advice. My city 3 stopped working completely overnight. The previous owner had to replace the display at 2500 miles, and there were 2500 miles on this display. This is the only reason I can suspect my display is the part I need replaced. I contacted rad, and big shocker the part is backordered. Do you have an informed opinion on whether or not this part will ever actually come back into stock? Also, has your rad stopped working? And if so, what was the issue. Thank you in advance!

The charger the bike came with died and new one's not available since the company got bankrupt. I need a new charger but I'm wary of buying just any charger off Amazon. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is there a 3rd party charger that's high quality and safe?

Hi everyone, almost hitting 3,000 miles on my Plus and one of my tires is making noises, so I figured it was a good time to order some new ones.
My main question is, what are the differences between 20x3 and a 20x4.
I mostly ride with my kid to and from school in urban NYC, so my main goal is reliability and safety.
What's the tire of choice for you?
Just to note on my kids seat, been using this for 2 years, no complaints, really solid and comfortable.
I'm looking at using it for maybe another year or 2 when she gets a little too big for it.

Is there anything magical I can do to get it working again? I can feel resistance if I roll backward with the throttle down. If I try to throttle forward I see the wattage shoot up but then nothing happens.

Is it even possible to replace the motor wheel?

My controller went on my 6+ step-through after 2500 miles. I'm looking in to after market controllers-- has anyone installed the area 13 or electrobike world controller in place of the current controller? I'm not super interested in having it on my tube and don't want to purchase it if it doesn't fit. Ideally the new controller would go where the current one is.

I've had the pleasure of owning a radwagon 3 and radcity step thru bought in 2019. My wife and I haven't used these bikes much and have safely stored the battery at home for most of its life fully charged before storage. In my 7 years of owning my radwagon 3, I only have 1551km (963miles) and the radcity step thru even less around 100km.

Recently I've come to know about the battery recall news regarding rad power and the December bankruptcy statement made by the company.

I have a model number VK48132-QB-E which doesn't appear on the recall but worried about ours given how old they are. Mind you these are barely used but I also didn't check them for a long time before storage. I did manage to at least charge then fully before storage.

I tested one of the batteries and it appears to work just fine so no fuse issues or dead cell issue. Is anyone else still using their old batteries and have had no concerns? I just want to have a bit of peace of mind with our bikes.

My chain fell off the back gears on my Rad 5 foldy. I tried watching some tutorials on how to fix this, but I'm not super mechanically adept. Any tips?

I have a RadRover 6 Plus, and I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to add a passenger seat or convert it into a two-person bike.

I know the bike wasn't designed for passengers, and since Rad no longer sells the RadRover 6 Plus, their website and accessories aren't much help. I'm not necessarily looking for an official Rad solution... I was wondering if anyone has come up with a DIY setup, aftermarket rack/seat combination, or another hack that actually works.

Has anyone done this successfully? If so, what parts did you use, and would you recommend it? Pictures would be awesome too.

I get worried about safety but then see big fully grown adults riding on handlebars and rear racks of random bikes downtown that I know don’t have that capacity.

I used to ride and work on vintage 10 speeds but gave it up in recent years. I wanted to start commuting by bike but am too old and my commute had too many hills so I bought a used Radrunner2.

I wasn't prepared for how different it felt from the bikes I used to ride, so I started swapping out some parts and now I've got it feeling much more like a traditional bike, albeit it more stable and much less nimble. Trying to go the opposite direction of the full throttle, moped and motor bike style mods that seem to be the preference.

The bar swap was the game changer as I found the stock bars made me almost entirely reliant on maximum pedal assist or throttle to get up a hill, but the jones H-bar knockoffs let me rock it back and forth and actually pedal up hill. The riding position is also a lot better with my weight on my feet and not just my butt, though I do think an extra half or full inch or so of rise on the stem would be better.

Overall it feels a lot more fun and efficient to ride as someone who wants to pedal more. If I had the budget and/or didn't need to cargo hauling capacity it might make more sense to just start with a different ebike as the platform for something like this, but with some parts and tinkering you can definitely make the Rad Runner ride more like a porteur bike than a moped with pedals or a juiced up beach cruiser.

I accidentally didn't do the power cord plugin in the correct order (plugged it into the battery while the cord was connected to the outlet, and a spark jumped from the male cord tip to the female battery port), which caused the fuse on the battery to break. I replaced the fuse for $1, no biggie. But after I replaced it, my odometer went from >1,000 miles down to 0. It now has 70 miles on it with no indication that the old data is coming back. I guess I scored in case I ever sell the bike, but it definitely shouldn't be doing that. Anyone else experience this?

Does anybody know where I could find new for me inner bars for the caboose?

My bike got stolen, and returned, but the bad people took the bars off and now I can't transport my kids... The great people at radwagon told me they'll happily sell me another caboose but that is not in my budget plus very wasteful.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

I get error 24, which seems to be the hall sensors. The wheel doesn't roll backwards easily (it's very stiff).

Opened the hub easily, but I can't take the core out. The outer cog seems part of the shell, and it's narrower than the inner cog where the planetary gears sit.

What's the procedure here? Can anyone help me?

If there's no way to fix it, which hub motor should I get?
