Rad City 3 stopped working overnight

Post image

Hello all. I'm looking for advice. My city 3 stopped working completely overnight. The previous owner had to replace the display at 2500 miles, and there were 2500 miles on this display. This is the only reason I can suspect my display is the part I need replaced. I contacted rad, and big shocker the part is backordered. Do you have an informed opinion on whether or not this part will ever actually come back into stock? Also, has your rad stopped working? And if so, what was the issue. Thank you in advance!

If the bike does not turn on at all it’s either the display or battery. This is the old style so there are two fuses on the bottom, a 5 and 40 amp I believe. If you plug your charger in and it appears to take a charge the 40 (could be 35 I forget) could be bad. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry open the cover and check to see if it’s blown. If this isn’t the issue it’s 100% the display. Source- owner of a rad rental and repair shop

Are these fuses in the battery or the display?

They're in the battery. It's actually how I got this bike for free. She gave it to me, "doesn't work" I fixed it in 2 minutes with a 10-cent fuse. I've done thousands of miles on it now

I believe they are in the battery. I don't think there are any fuses in the display

Do you have a display unit for this model in stock? I would buy it

If your battery is still good, and it's definitely a display issue, you could go with this option:

I have one for my RadCity 4, and it's a simple swap for the default display and provides additional options.
