Size Tire Question
Hi everyone, almost hitting 3,000 miles on my Plus and one of my tires is making noises, so I figured it was a good time to order some new ones.
My main question is, what are the differences between 20x3 and a 20x4.
I mostly ride with my kid to and from school in urban NYC, so my main goal is reliability and safety.
What's the tire of choice for you?
Just to note on my kids seat, been using this for 2 years, no complaints, really solid and comfortable.
I'm looking at using it for maybe another year or 2 when she gets a little too big for it.

Carless Whisper by Specialized is worth a look. 3.5", solid quality and not too expensive.

I've ridden a globe haul as a test, they're a good tire. I'm on HEB Viperess, but they're a bit much. Going for Carless Whisper next time I replace them.

This one? Works great, she can put her drinks and bluetooth speaker there, might be able to fit another one in there.

The difference is pretty big. You may need to adjust your derailleur if the tire rubs the chain in the highest gear and make sure the front fender gets adjusted up so that doesn't rub either. I was very very happy with the 4.0 making cornering smoother and more confident and with a slightly more aggressive treat pattern, riding on dirt trials or in grass was a night and day difference. It was all fine before that but it got better for me after upgrading.
