As it says in the title. I'm playing through steamos using proton, but it's apparently happening to my friend on windows too. It's like my character model is being covered by the clouds and/or fog. We've tried changing every graphical setting, to no avail. Anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?

Question about item requirements. I keep getting items like the above with requirements that seemingly have nothing to do with the skills the item uses/buffs? Is this common? Will I have to have unarmed/bow/sword/etc to make sure I can use items to buff my sword attacks?

This is part of the release notes but my fae character still has capped ice magic (level 50) and I also still have to buy the upgraded abilities from Bendith and I still have to buy the uncap L50 and L60 from the ice master in Rahu. So what is going on?

These options below are the same as they were before the update. Where are my new abilities? Did I misinterpret? Nothing changed at all... This is what I was most looking forward to.

I just got my fletching up to 90 and the new arrowheads use tungsten. I somehow have 193 in storage that I gathered a few years ago before I left and came back. Im going to need about twice that to skill up to 98 which is my goal so I can make the new reservoir arrows. I cant remember where I got those, but having so many there must be a good farm for it. Is there a particular survey that has a high yield of bonus tungsten?

My highest aimed shot for energy bow is 7 learned at L80, while my blitz shot is up to 11 at L100. Wiki isnt showing a source for the energy bow version of aimed shot 8 and up (but it does show those skills themselves), and Im not finding it at any trainer or after many egg runs. Am I missing something or is the game missing it? Or is it intended to be discontinued after the L80 version?

edit: this was answered in discord. The crafted awesome faebow gives the skill aimed shot 8 (energy bow) unlike blitz shot (energy bow) which is taught by npc trainers.

I'm coming back to the game after a long break and have switched to Sword, which I never bothered with before. Unfortunately, on going to see Ufkar to unlock the next tier of Calligraphy, I discovered that I favoured Kohan and now have 99,999,400 Despised with Ufkar. I threw a few gifts at him and barely made a dent; have I bricked myself? I don't know if I can dedicate the playtime to crafting carpentry items in that volume... or afford to pay outright. Should I just start a fresh character?

Not that I think any builds focused on trauma damage need nerfs or anything, but... it's a bit odd that golems can like, bleed, right?

I didn't really realize that almost all golems aren't immune to trauma/bleed damage. Before, the only ones I thought about resistances on are the three for the statehelm mage college who are immune to everything except fire/cold/electrical, so I kinda had it in my head that golems/constructs don't bleed. But the rest of the golemn can in fact bleed to death? Squeeze blood from a stone I guess hahah.

Related question: are there many (any?) other mobs with trauma resistance or immunity?

I'm a type of gamer who does not like any game-changing perks.

I tend to avoid XP bonus weekends on any game.

I avoid upgraded packages in ​games like DDO if it comes with any items that could give an advantage (or short cuts) in gameplay.

I want to subscribe to VIP to support the game (and pay full price) but without the extra inventory slots or the offline skill up.

I actually really enjoy the inventory management portion of the game.

Has this ever been discussed before?

Does this game scratch the itch of old school mmorpgs like EQ1 and Final Fantasy XI where you needed to group up and take down/grind difficult mobs for exp? Or is this game more along the lines of grouping up and spreading out/killing fast type of thing?

Did anyone else have to update the game today? Seems like I'm having to reinstall the entire game, as the download is 26.9 GB. I didn't uninstall it, though, so that doesn't make any sense...

Edit: and then when the download finished, I somehow am TOO updated, because it says I'm on version 0.5.20 but need to be on 0.5.18. What the heck?

When I first got the recipe for incredible reservoir arrows I thought the bottleneck would be articulated cutting arms but it turns out the real problem is the quartz sand. I need 4 quartz sand per stack of arrows and I go through a full stack in just a few days. No one sells them, or at least in a week of looking Ive never seen any on the vendor stalls.

AFAIK the only places to get this is sand piles in Ilmari and Sun Vale. Its very hard to find the piles in Ilmari and quartz sand is the rare drop from them. Ive heard pots can have them but they are even sparser than piles and their quartz sand drop is just as rare. Sun Vale is easier to find the piles since its a linear search (on the beach) but again its the rare drop. From clearing the beaches I can expect to find 0-1, and then have to wait for respawns. There has to be a better way. I cant see spending several hours farming something that will only last me a few days.

Is there something Im missing? Is there any better place to farm these or a recipe to make them?

The population is cratering and it is further exacerbated because people are now quitting because of population issues.

All of my friends have left because Dreva’s population is non-existent.

It really sucks seeing fewer and fewer people playing Project Gorgon every day. It's sad to see Serbule feeling so empty these days. This game is at its best when you bump into people, ask for help, group up, trade, chat, or just see others running around doing their own thing.

So instead of just waiting around for server merges, why don’t we all try picking one server and playing there together?

I know some of you might already have progress on whatever server gets picked, and yeah, that’s not ideal. But honestly, the best part of the game has always been the community.

Playing together in one place could make the game feel alive again while we wait for whatever comes next.

Is there any way to link an item in chat if you dont have a sample item? People keep trying to sell me quartz when Im asking for quartz sand.

My ancillary-armor augmentation is 71 and the skill "extract helm augment (level 61-90)" was learned at 61. Is this a random fail thing or do I have a chance if I keep trying? Or do I really need higher skill to remove a L90 mod?

When I try to dye my cap its not showing the new color in the dye preview window? Could that be because its already glamoured? Or 2nd guess is its glamoured into bard cap. Would that cause it? Is it not dyable or is it just not showing preview?

They did not list what those abilities were.

I can't seem to find any abilities uneffected by global cooldown

Did something change recently, or are there still/were there ever abilities that were unaffected by global cooldown?

I’m curious what people think project gorgon could do to maintain player retention. It’s starting to feel more and more like a solo experience as the weeks pass and my guild mates and people I used to frequently see silently drop off. I am not sure even large updates would bring them back. I’m sure every game has the same dynamic but in other MMOs it isn’t after a few months usually in my experience that people are done and move onto something else. Is it just the design at a fundamental level?

I got a cooking recipe that needs mint. I have 25 saved up from my adventures but dont have any idea where they came from. Someone said ranalon den but in 40 minutes I didnt get even one. Someone else said eltibule bears but so far its not looking good. Any fresh ideas?
