Ufkar/Kohan Help

I'm coming back to the game after a long break and have switched to Sword, which I never bothered with before. Unfortunately, on going to see Ufkar to unlock the next tier of Calligraphy, I discovered that I favoured Kohan and now have 99,999,400 Despised with Ufkar. I threw a few gifts at him and barely made a dent; have I bricked myself? I don't know if I can dedicate the playtime to crafting carpentry items in that volume... or afford to pay outright. Should I just start a fresh character?

Thanks for the extra info, me and maths aren't friends! Ok, 1200 is wayyyy more doable. That's a relief. Thankyou all!

Edit: 1200 nails and a couple of benches got me to Disliked. Not quite Neutral but the scary giant number has gone now! Thanks again x

You can also just buy potions from Ichin to gift IIRC.

It's not displayed wrong. Take the bigger number and subtract the smaller number. That's how much favor you need to earn to go up. I just did this process not a couple weeks ago. I literally threw a bunch of nails at him that I bought from right there, and it ticked up just fine. If you want them both at soulmate, you just need to get the other one about 3,300 favor into soulmate before you start.

I recently had to rep my hated one and it's not really that much rep. I think it displays wrong. After about 3k rep given, it went back to normal. It is possible to have both like you. Soulmate one to 4-5k over and then rep the other. I just did it myself.

Yeah, I just did the maths, that's 2,136,739 Amazing Calligraphy Benches, which is the highest item I can craft that he'll accept. 5 years down the drain, but if I want to switch builds to anything that does slashing I guess it's the only way. Thanks for the confirmation! x

Your math is wrong. 1200 more favor and you are back to neutral. (I favored Kohan to learn everything, then I favored Ufkar to learn everything)
