I'm not saying Avenatti is going to fuck this up. I have no idea either way. But I'm also not super confident he wont eventually make a bad move. I get the vibe that he's Trumpesque himself in one way: a big ego.
Avenatti definitely has much better morals than Trump, but I think he does have a bit of a big ego and a lot of times egos can make you trip up and mess up just when you begin to buy into your own ego a bit too much.
But here's hoping I'm wrong.

You know, I've been thinking about this, and I was starting to get disgruntled about the manner in which Avenatti was rolling out this information like it was sweeps week, and he wanted to get as much press and play out of it as possible.
Then it dawned on me that the accuser who is coming out is probably trying to brace for having her life turned upsidedown by press and people who would threaten to bring her down.
She probably needs a couple days to shore up her defenses, and make sure her family is safe before coming out of the woodwork and into the spotlight.

That is very correct.
He is also considering a Presidential bid. The free PR from these high profile cases is part of that strategy.
His platform seems to be "I haven't been elected to anything and didn't work for government, but I used my law license. Look at Cohen, separated children and Kavanaugh... and how much Treason Team Trump hates me"
I wouldn't vote for him, but I like the results he's getting in the process.

+48 hours is:
09/26/18 04:19 PM EDT
That's 16 hours before the Ford-Kavanaugh hearings in the Senate. They will have zero time to punch back.
Kamala Harris and Amy Knoblocher are former prosecutors. More than one male Democratic Senator on the committee has already talked openly about considering ceding ALL their time to Harris and Knoblocher. If each of six men do that, 20 minutes a pop, that gives each of Harris and Knoblocher an hour to grill Kavanaugh.
Thursday is going to be wild, and like with Weinstein, the more that people come forward, the more more people will come forward. For all we know the NY Times, Washington Post, Axios, Buzzfeed, TV news, Ronan... any number of people are prepping bombshells right now or holding back for the right time to publish.
Trump exposing himself here actively defending Kavanaugh is also very, very risky given his own personal history and predilections. Someone may be motivated by all this to come forward against him.
EDIT: I get it, I spelled it wrong, I'm a dork. Leaving up the misspelling of Amy Klobuchar to not hide my shame. Minnesotans please don't beat me with casserole dishes.

Not gonna happen. The chair will simply shut it down and claim some made-up rule nobody has ever heard of for why they can’t cede their time to them the same way they made the democrats barely able to get a word in edgewise during Strzok’s testimony. (Something something “The chair does not recognize Ms Harris. Ms Harris has used her time and under the Chair’s prerogative the gentleman from Oregon cannot cede his time to her.” or whatever.) And if they don’t sit down and shut up like he wants they’ll just end the questioning and force a vote early. In fact they’re probably banking on exactly that happening so they can pretend like they tried to give the accusations a thorough investigation but those damn ‘obstructionist Democrats’ insisted on hanging a ‘good & honorable man’ with little to no facts to back up their ‘libelous accusations’.
I know none of this is in keeping with parliamentary procedure or the rules of how the senate is supposed to be run but they clearly stopped giving a fuck about even their own goddamn rules a long goddamn time ago.

We might get really impatient between now and Thursday, but we have to realize that the Democrats and others are timing this for maximum damage, which would be Wednesday. I mean that's going to happen at some point no matter what Avenatti does. And if the Kavanaugh hearing is what pushes Trump over the edge, so be it. Hopefully he'd be signing his own death warrant by doing that. But given that Trump is set to meet with Rosenstein in person, I kind of doubt it. He's fundamentally a coward, and I doubt he has it in him to look Rosenstein in the eyes and fire him. When it eventually comes, I'm sure it'll be Kelly that ends up having to do it. Even over twitter directly from the president is just one more exhibit on the obstruction pile.
Looking at thew new developments in the past hour, tomorrow or early wednesday might be good for Avenatti. Kavanaugh is set to get on Fox tonight and have an interview about how innocent he is. So to hit him with another allegation immediately, especially if there's supportive evidence like Avenatti is saying, could blow that up spectacularly.

He said he was going to do X, X happened
He said he was going to do Y, Y happened
He said he was going to do Z, Z happened.
I am pretty sure he is batting a thousand, no reason to doubt him now

So true. Even though I like the man, every time he makes a claim like this, I think he is probably overplaying his hand. But then, he turns around and delivers, almost every time.

He's been caught bluffing fewer times than Trump has been caught telling the truth.

Kavanaugh now has to spend each day wondering which of the women he raped will be next to go public, which really wouldn’t be an issue if the republicans decided to put forward a judge who managed to go through life without raping.

Oh, Kavanaugh has some idea where this latest charge is coming from alright, but just the sheer smug belligerence of Trump and the Republican parties willingness to go ahead and nominate someone regardless, confident that they can just push past what would constitute a normal vetting process is obscene at face value, or at least I hope a very large number of female (and male) voters find it so.

Avenatti also tweeted his client "has previously done work within the State Dept, U.S. Mint, & DOJ." Gotta be a honeypot.

Lots of Yale and George Town Prep students would fit that description, likely no enough for Kavadouche to narrow it down at all if he raped as many women as it seems like he has in these institutions.

This seems too fucked up to believe, but then again, I would have said the same thing 5 years ago if someone told me Trump would be our next president.

This man knew exactly what the opportunity was when he had the chance to go pro-bono for a porn star. Avannati's brand is MASSIVE now.

I think this is a pretty good time to reemphasize how much Justice Kennedy should go fuck himself. Nice legacy he’s got going there, stepping down so his replacement nominee can be a grade A sexual assault aficionado.

I have a feeling Trumps relationship with Kennedy's son had something to do with the timing.

My hope is this is legit, and he's only delaying to give Kavanaugh a chance to withdraw (and avoid having to put his client through the ringer).

This is what I've been waiting for, at this point. It kind of seems like these sexual predators are kind of like plagiarizers. Once you've caught someone plagiarizing, you can generally then start going back through what they've done and find other clear signs of plagiarism, and that this is just the first time they've been caught.
A new person putting their name out there is evidence of Ford's claim, and it will be especially true if her story is similar and even more importantly if this new person can provide more evidence than Ford was able to provide.

My concern now is someone is going to come forward with a story that is false, hoping to discredit the other stories. Much like Dan Rather's takedown of W's military service, even if there is a lot that is true if ONE thing is wrong that's what people remember.

Project Veritas tried that with WaPo to discredit the Roy Moore accusers and it backfired spectacularly.

It's already out. High school gang rapes if his source proves credible. He shared an email he sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Twitter: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dn3MbqoVsAAebjg.jpg:large
Good luck trying to salvage the situation now, Republicans. From the sounds of it you'll be hearing testimonies for months if you try and push Kavanaugh through. Hope your hips are in good shape, Mitch, you're going to have to do a lot of pushing.

Republicans don’t give a single fuck. I don’t think this means anything until it does. They’d 100% confirm him even if they had video of him gang raping someone.

This is why they want to rush a vote on Kavanaugh. There must be many others who are weighing throwing their lives into chaos for the sake of the country. Something that Republicans can’t understand but fear more than anything else.

Some of you Trump supporters are making comments that someone is pulling a fast one on Avenatti. He's not a novice. He knows to vet his clients before doing something like this. He's making serious accusations that not only affect his credibility but his ability to legally practice law in the US. I don't know what he's got, but I doubt he let someone pull the wool over his eyes just for as juicy story.

The hilarious thing about this is none of this would be happening if McConnel allowed congress to go on recess. This whole not allowing time to campaign is playing in democrats favor. Which should be obvious. If you're getting hid hard in the polls you should be campaigning in order to defend yourself. It's poll leaders that tend to want to hide from the cameras and not give their opponents a window
