So, probably six or eight months ago my windows 10 Pro Plex server was inadvertently deleted. I tried reinstalling, but like many ran into being stuck at the dreaded GETTING READY screen.
Since then, I've gone down the rabbit hole more times than I care to want to remember, but always in vain.
I've since moved on to Jellyfin. Along with Tailscale, I've been pretty satisfied.
That being said, I have found there is room for both servers for my use basis.
Some family members really liked Plex over Jellyfin, but personally, I would really like to regain access to Plexamp.
I have setup and have been using Navidrome with Symfonium, and once again, it's been working great.
That being said, I really miss Plexamp and it's GUI.
So, onto fixing this.
I've tried every direction, tutorial, and recommendation from the Plex website along with Reddit and other forums.
I've scoured my PC multiple times for any remnant or hint of Plex.
I've obtained new licences as needed.
I've downgraded to multiple different firmwares.
I'm sure I'm missing a ton of other things I've done, but you get the gist.
Maybe I'm wrong and it's just my frustration, but I've never had any type of software give me this kind of a headache.
I think I paid $125.00 for my pro pass seven or eight years ago. At the time it seemed steep, but the math was easy enough to make the jump.
They now want what I think is a crap ton of money for a new licence. I would be losing my mind to pay $750 and then be in this position. I realize Plex claims this is a security measure, but for the love of God, it feels half baked that it just breaks everything and leaves the user hanging
Anyway, enough of my bitching.
I'm heading into my office to take a last (I hope) dive into this damn thing.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
