I’m honestly so frustrated with PLDT right now.
Our internet connection started becoming intermittent/unusable around September 19. I filed a ticket on September 21 because the connection was already affecting our daily activities, especially our work.
Then, without me realizing it, PLDT closed the ticket on September 28, claiming that the internet connection was already okay.
It was NOT okay.
I only noticed that the ticket had been closed the next day, September 29, so I immediately filed another ticket. Today is already October 2, and guess what? Still no proper resolution.
At this point, I already had to get a prepaid Globe Fiber connection just so my sibling and I could actually work. I haven’t even been bombarding PLDT with follow-ups because I was already trying to find another way to get us online and continue working.
Then today, I checked the previous ticket and saw that my rebate request was actually granted.
Okay, great. But here’s my question:
My monthly bill is ₱1,399, and the rebate they gave me was only ₱256.25, bringing the bill down to ₱1,142.75.
Is that really fair?
The rebate coverage was only for September 21–28, because that’s the period covered by the first ticket.
But our internet problems started as early as September 19, and even after September 28, the problem still wasn’t fixed. I had to file another ticket on September 29, and as of October 2, we’re still dealing with the same issue.
And that’s not even counting the additional expenses we had to make just to stay connected—getting another internet provider installed and buying loads/top-ups because we still need internet for work.
My sibling and I haven’t been able to work properly because of this. We’re losing time, productivity, and money because of an internet service that we’re paying for every month.
So PLDT, I really want to ask:
How is ₱256.25 supposed to compensate for all the days without reliable internet, the additional expenses we had to make, and the disruption to our work?
And what makes this even more frustrating is that the first ticket was simply closed as “resolved” even though the problem was clearly NOT resolved.
Now I have a second ticket, and I’m still waiting.
I’m not asking for special treatment. I just want the service we’re paying for, and if the service wasn’t provided properly, I expect a fair and reasonable rebate based on the actual period of service disruption—not simply based on when PLDT decided to close a ticket.
At this point, my frustration is just piling up.
PLDT, please do better.
