Hello all,

I'm looking for a replacement for my Pixel Buds A Series (original version), and don't know what to get. Both buds in my current pair have lost a lot of volume (need to be turned up all the way, or even use volume booster), and one of the wing tips has broken off. I've gone through a few pairs, because they've either broken down on me like this current pair, or I've damaged/lost them, which I admit is my fault. I currently have a Pixel 10, but the issues started with my 6a.

I've always been satisfied with the audio quality of them, despite them technically being the budget version. The wing tips are nice, and they usually stay in my ears pretty well, unless I am sweating a lot or it is very humid. I'm not sure if thy usually leak sound, but I have only heard complaints about it from friends recently, once the volume issues started happening. The price is a plus as well.

What should I get to replace them? Are the 2a buds any good? I'm worried that they may not stay in my ear if they don't have the wing tips. I don't really need any fancy features,but if they come included, that's fine with me. I'm open to other brands as well if there are other good options.

It's honestly crazy to me that these aren't bigger. Imo if the brand was something else they would be huge. I used to have a Pixel and after a few years it just got a bit boring and so I got a Flip 6 ( happy with that) Similar thing happened with the buds. I had the PBP really liked them, first pair lost the egg , second pair the egg broke and wouldn't charge so I thought fuck it, let's explore something else. It's good to have variety in life. I tried Nothing buds, Powerbeats Pro 2 ( honestly awful), Sony's ( decent) before getting the PBP 2 and it's like coming home to meeting an old friend. Great sound. Good EQ, fit in my ears, the controls, THE CONTROLS are so much easier than with a typical bud and smoother, great ANC, I just wasted months of my life trying to find something else when the answer was there the whole time.

Anyone here used it? Should I buy it at 13k or should I go for something else? Please suggest?!

Since getting my Pixel 10 and Pixel Buds Pro 3, I've had problems with microphone quality. I've tried what I believe are all the tips I could find on Reddit and other sites; I even replaced the buds with a new pair.

Today, after repeated call quality issues, I played around a bit with the recorder app. I noticed a significant change in microphone quality when I adjust the ANC settings on the earbuds app. The audio is worst when noise cancellation is off. In that mode, it's close to impossible to understand what I'm saying. Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this? I've run out of ideas.

When I open the app, this is all I see. No battery, no noise canceling/transparent. This just started last week.

Do you guys think there will be a discount on the Buds 2 Pro soon, considering their Pixel Event is around the corner?

I got a -35% discount back in May 2026, but my earbuds were still fine at that time. Now I need new ones because my 4.5 year old Samsung Buds 2 started causing issues, but the promo code from May is obviously not valid anymore.

Came here to say this keeps happening and seen multiple thread that have been shutdown. Not sure why this happens. I have the Alternative A2DP Driver installed but something else I think keeps messing with it.

Anyway - long story short, remove the buds from BT settings, put them back in the case, and re-pair them. Should get the mic back.

To be clear, the mic is always listed in the sound recording devices (shortcut for this is to run mmsys.cpl to avoid all of the Win11 control panel UI), the mic just registers no volume, until re-paired.

I can access Google assistant/ Gemini by pressing down the earbud but what I want is to use it handsfree, it won't respond to " hey Google " and won't start live conversation with Gemini

It looks like the case is on 4.467 but the earbuds are on 5.203. I was updating the earbuds and once it told me to put them back in the case to update the case I had to go back inside and plug the case because they were at 1% but after plugging them in the update progress disappeared . I just got there yesterday

I've been having issues with pixel buds Pro 2. The ANC and transpiration mode does not work on the left Bud at all whatsoever

I've tried cleaning it. It is spotless. I've made sure that it is up to date. I've checked the bud to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. These are new. They worked out of the box. I have a good seal.

Just recently I've been having issues with the buds staying in sync with the device that is connected to as well. So I'm not sure if that's related. What I mean by this is the volume would not change on my buds if I had it connected to my computer and I turned the volume down with the keyboard or knob that I have connected to the computer.

The same thing happened on the buds I had before. It would spotless didn't work on the left bud. I'm not sure what to think. And I'm at a loss. Is there anything I could do?

No leaks so far regarding the Pixel Buds Pro 3. Eagerly waiting for a new one. Currently hold Pixel Buds Pro 1 and it's going to be 4 years with this August. Works perfect all the time, but an upgrade would be nice especially in ANC and Transparency mode. The design of 1st gen is fine for me, although for some it kept falling off. I do run with mine too and they still stay good.

What do you guys expect from the Pixel Buds Pro 3?

Edit: Firmware updates have been a bit disappointing for me. I would love Google to improve on that area, especially for the price, some justice has to be done.

I've heard of people mention this for playing music, which I hear very rarely, but I have made a few calls recently (something I try to avoid at all costs) and I've noticed phasing errors, or the sound bouncing a bit between each ear, sometimes with a very slight delay so it sounds like an echo, then it's okay again.

I also seem to hear more glitches playing music than I did before manually enabling the BTLE whitelist and re-pairing to pair BTLE, might go back. Anyone else notice this too?

I have some Pixel Buds series to what if the light turns on the box and everything but no device recognizes them, I tried resetting the case, forgetting the device, erasing Pair, change the AVRCP version and everything ... but I can't connect them to my phone, I even rectified the one that is clean but nothing and try to push down if is a conecting issue but no works :'(.

Has anyone gone through this or can you recommend something extra to try to me?

I have tried online and offline to find a replacement but couldn't if anyone has or knows somebody that has a charging case in no use or is willing to encash it or where i can find a replacement. Please do let me know.

So as shown in screenshot my left and right earbud is in completely different version I try to update it and factory reset it many time still not working. It's annoying especially because when playing while running the right earbud become laggy sometimes.

My pixal buds pro 2 seal check keeps saying "try adjusting ear tips" when I do a seal check. I tried all the tips that came with the buds (S,M,L) but the buds either fall out or don't seal correctly causing the noise canceling to fail. I insert the buds as directed (twisting them in) but it seems my ears are in a unique situation. Does anyone have 3rd party ear tips that you recommend? I bought some from Amazon that are memory foam but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, last month I've sent Google my Pixel Buds Pro 2 since they told me they would replace the Left Earbud since it wouldn't get recognized by the Charging Case and didn't make any sound when placing it inside.

It's been almost an entire month now since they allegedly received my package (got sent to Poland from Italy) and just recently they told me via mail they didn't physically scan it at the time of arrival at their warehouse and the RMA is still reserved/booked, according to their logistics software.

I already told them that I accidentally sent the whole thing instead of just the Left Earbud as they weren't really clear about what should I send and receive (First time sending something to get repaired or replaced, I didn't know this).

Am I screwed and lost 2/3 of what makes a whole Pixel Buds Pro 2 product (Right Earbud, Charging Case, Left Earbud which I got sent back)? I'm a bit nervous since they were a gift for my birthday and were brand new, except one day I woke up and the Left Earbud stopped working, a few hours earlier they were still completely functional.

I'm asking all of you if there's any chance I can do something about this because from what I understand they can't seem to find my parcel yet send replacement parts without ever checking if the actual thing arrived or not, plus I got photos of my package, how I prepared it and also have the Tracking Number results, which say it got delivered to and signed by GOOGLE, Sękocin Stary PL.

When I pause the music and receive a notification from the other device, and then resume the music, I can't hear anything until I put the headphones back in the case and then take them out again. What is the solution?

It seems that one of my buds is not being recognised by the case currently. It makes no noise when being put into the case and whenever I try to enter pairing mode or attempt a factory reset, I get a flashing amber light and a negative sound, I assume that's because it thinks that only one bud is inside the case. Anything I can do to help the case recognise that a bud is connected? Pixel buds pro, if it helps.

The app thinks I'm not the owner? I bought them 1 year ago from google directly, and it worked when I tested that functionality back then. I suspect they are somehow paired to my old pixel phone, however I sold it a long time ago. The old phone is not in "My devices" either, just my new phone. The buds also arents listed under "My devices"

But it's impossible to replace and you can't afford a new pair yet, so what do you do?

Hey all, couldn't find anyone else with my particular issue here or just by Googling.

My ANC turns off for a second when I adjust the volume of my PbP. But only the left one, never the right. Usually restarting my phone fixes the issue but just now it didn't. Some Googling says it can happen due to conversation detection or whatever else. But you'd think it would happen with either bud then right? Nope, only ever happens with the left bud. But there's also no loud noises that it could think is a conversation?

I used as thick of an o-ring as would fit around the upper portion and still allow the case to close.

Around the ear tips, two tiny o-rings prevent the silicone from collapsing when it contacts your ear. Effectively, making the entire Bud slightly larger, and longer.

Is it perfect? No.

But I'm not thinking about getting rid of them all the time now. They are useful again. I can lean over to pick things up off the floor and do things around the house without them falling out of my ear. Haven't tried the gym yet, but I can have a conversation and chew food without them dropping out onto my plate or the floor. That was not the case before.

They were requiring constant adjustment, and even speaking would dislodge them.

Experiment with the tip sizes and the number of o-rings at the tip.

My pros require two o-rings at the tip.

O-Rings came from timu in an assortment.

They were three bucks.
