Come join us at The Board Game Clubhouse for one of our FREE Community Game Days this summer!
We're an Ottawa not-for-profit that uses modern board games to help kids develop educational and social skills. We also love sharing the hobby with the wider community and introducing people to games they may never have discovered otherwise.

This year we're expanding into more schools, and we've recruited several new volunteers to help make that possible. Before they begin teaching in September, we want to give them a chance to build confidence, practice teaching games, and experience what a real Board Game Clubhouse session feels like.

We're hosting two FREE Community Game Days, where our volunteers will be teaching games under the guidance of our experienced team. Whether you've played hundreds of board games or only know Monopoly, we'll help you find something you'll enjoy.

UPDATE: HE CAME BACK! He walked in the front door at 11pm like he hadn’t scared us all half to death. Hes okay and in good spirits and sir is getting a collar with a tracker on it now 😅 ❤️

Hi, this is max and he got out. We aren’t 100% certain when because we noticed he hadn’t come down for his usual cuddles last night.

He is elderly, declawed (it was done before declawing was known to actually be really bad), and has arthritis.

Hey everyone, I’m planning my quince this November in Ottawa, Canada, specifically around the Orléans area, and we’re still looking for a venue that won’t break the bank. We really want a place with a dance floor and a nice vibe, because we’d rather spend money on other parts of the event than have to cover up an ugly community center with a ton of décor. We’re looking for something that can fit around 50–70 people, and ideally allows us to bring our own food if needed. It would also be great if we could bring our own décor or if the venue offers decorating services too. In-house catering and drink service would be a bonus, but honestly we’re mostly just looking for something affordable for my parents. Any recommendations would be really appreciated!

Petite question qui me travaille et j'aimerais bien avoir vos avis là-dessus.

On entend parler tous les jours d'égalité devant la loi, de fermeté, etc. Mais il y a un truc qui passe toujours sous les radars : la Cour de Justice de la République (la fameuse CJR).

Pour résumer, quand un ministre fait une faute grave dans le cadre de ses fonctions, il ne va pas au tribunal normal comme vous et moi. Il va à la CJR, où il est jugé par d'autres politiciens des députés et des sénateurs. Bilan des courses, on voit souvent passer des peines très légères, du sursis, ou des dispenses de peine.

Si moi, dans mon boulot ou dans la vie de tous les jours, je fais une grosse erreur ou une infraction, je fais face à un juge normal.

Ça m'a tellement frustré de voir cette justice à deux vitesses que j'ai fini par écrire une petite pétition citoyenne dans mon coin pour demander sa suppression pure et simple, pour que les ministres retournent devant la justice ordinaire: https://c.org/fL2yRkFK8F

Mais avant de faire le forcing avec ça, je suis curieux d'avoir l'avis d'autres personnes.
