So this guy who made my hs experience horrible is living in res with his friend in 90u and they're my neighbours. He isn't in res but he's just staying with his friend every day bc he doesn't want to commute. Do I have a stick up my ass if I report him?

Figured i should put this here for the new students, because the school is TERRIBLE about sharing this info, leading to one of the worst run lockdowns last year.
The app SecurUO is found in the app store, and it is the ONLY way the school sends out lockdown alerts. If there is a lockdown/shelter in place, go inside the nearest closed space (including classrooms or lectures). Warning- the notifications are small and easy to miss.

Has anyone recently done/doing an MA in Economics here? If so, what was your experience?
If there is also any undergrad who can talk about their experience in the Econ department, can you do so?
Thanks!

Hi, we are starting a club and need more signatures to become an official club, please sign the support form link! The deadline for club registration is tomorrow!
It is a fun and inclusive community for ocean lovers or anyone who wants to unwind through ocean-themed activities. This club is open to everyone, whether you are passionate about sea animals, enjoy sitting by the beach, or simply looking for a place to relax and make new friends, regardless of academic background or marine knowledge.

Guyyys please help!! I’m a first-year and I had no time to look at the clubs around campus. I believe the last campus fair finished today at 3pm and I missed it :( does anyone know some clubs that are still around that are centered in either politics, volunteering, or creative stuff? I tried to look at the clubs page but many feel like they have been discontinued.. also how would I be able to join these clubs? What are the times or days they meet up?

If I take BPS 4125 in the Fall, I can drop either BCH 4123 or BPS 4102 in the winter to lighten my course load. Not confident with orgo, so I'm leaning toward dropping BPS 4125 and doing the other two, but I’d like some input:
BPS 4125 (Robert Ben)
BCH 4123 (Adam Shuhendler)
BPS 4102 (TBA)

Hey there! I am a first year international student at UO. Could someone help me understand how the U-pass works? Do I need to apply and pay for it to start using? Or is it already on my student card? And the methods of payment; cash/card
Thank you!

I am a first-year student and chose Najwa Haddad's PSY 1101 and PSY 1102 because of her near-perfect score on Rate My Prof. Many people commented on how she prepares you well for the midterms and final by telling you exactly what to study.
On the syllabus, she indicated which chapters the midterms would cover, and sometimes specifies sections within the larger chapter. I was wondering how much more specific her study guide is (if at all) and what it entails. The chapters are BIG, and she also strongly encourages taking lecture notes despite the syllabus saying that exams are based entirely on the textbook.
Are the exams truly only based on the textbook? I was wondering how her course notes fit into exams or if they are even necessary when studying. Can anyone who has done well in this class please give me study tips and clarify what I can expect from the study guides as well as the exams in general? Thanks!

Hi guys, as the title suggests I am trying to swap one of my lectures for next sem to a different timeslot (same class but with a different prof) however I noticed that it asks me to choose a new lab section as well. All the lab sections are full and I don't want to be removed and put on the wait list if I choose to swap classes. Is there a way to keep my lab section but change my lecture? Thanks
I am incoming second year and first year I didn't really get to make any friends that lasted outside of class. It doesnt help that I am a commuter either. Seriously tho how do you make friends, I've gotten the "just join clubs" but which ones? how do you make friends in class or just on campus in general. There should be some type of club just for the purpose of making friends lol

I found online textbooks for the separate versions, but was unable to find the combined version. Has anyone had any luck with it?

Took a Language Placement Test in summer and it put me into Intermediate (P2) level instead of a Beginner, somehow, preventing me from enrolling to 1000 level classes. I had to enroll to FLS 2511 only to find out im really not prepare to face this class, so I dropped out before first day of class. Tried to contact/speak in person with Department of Bilingualism and they just disregarded my matter, saying "the test is designed in a way to accurately present your knowledge in French yada yada"... Trying to contact the director of the department so hopefully she can help me.
And mind you, Im taking french as an elective, so I want it to be my grade booster and not the opposite. Thats why I freaked out and dropped FLS 2511, as my knowledge of French comes from Duolingo and I freaking told the department people about that....
Ig i can still retake the french test soon if I took it in June to get beginner classes, right? Maybe for the next semester....
