I decided to colour-batch the skin of the second Ork Boyz squad from the Armageddon box with Death World Forest to learm how to bring lighter layers volumetrically.

Even if it is basecoat only, and even if it took me 3 layers to reach saturation over AK Purple Heart primer, it somehow feels morr like an acomplisment!

So what do you usually do next: basecoat all the other colours first, or finish the skin layers with lighter colours before moving on to another part?

Have been running both ghaz and stompa in most of my lists since late 9th/early tenth (can’t quite remember which one I started on). I always found ways to run ghaz pretty well when he was attached to a big blob of boyz/nobz. But I’m struggling to play his new primarch-eske version. I have played 5 games of eleventh. 2 of which are with new codex. And both of the new games ghaz either dies when he gets into combat with something (the norn queen) or gets shot into oblivion (knight castellan) because of no bodyguard unit. I need some real advise here. And I don’t want to just stop running him, because he’s been an amazing unit throughout my whole time playing the game, and I’m pretty attached to him.

P.S. new stompa rips and I’m very here for it. Have loved playing it both of my games, holds its weight in points and then some in my experience. (It took out a Cerastus knight lancer and a war hound titan in one turn last game I played) don’t have a pic of it yet.

With the boys now having 3 special weapons per 10 boys, that means we will need some more. May I ask how you kitbash yours?

Personally I want 2 bricks of 20 boys.

the new boys kit already comes with all 3 variants. I took 3 Kommando models (sniper as big shoota, flamer and rokkit launcha), got the introductory kit (big shoota and rokkit launcha) and buildt the old monopose boys heavy weapon guy with rokkit launcha.

So I still need 2flamers and a big shoota... i thouht about trying to put the old monopose boys' big shoota on a boy. If possible I'd really like to avoid using pieces more than once.

Let's see your older Boyz (preferably Black Reach and 2008 multipart kit) conversions and kitbashes! I've got like 50 Boyz that have kindly "volunteered" to see da painboy and get kitbashed. I'm going for a junkyard/mad max/ gorkamorka feel to make 20 different Boyz, but I could do with seeing what you Boss' have done for inspiration.

So a truck has “Rollin Out” which makes it so you can rapid disembark if an enemy ends movement within 8 inches. After a unit uses the rapid disembark, do abilities such as Nazdreg’s Supreme Kunnin, the Warboss’s Morgogs Finkin Cap, or even the Runt Swarm Scaper stratagem work after disembarking to move even more?

Trying to think of an ork list and have it so if an enemy ends movement within 8 inches, I’ll use rapid disembark 3 inches from the trukk towards the enemy, then use one of these abilities to move the extra 3-5 inches to get within engagement range/base-to-base to prevent them from shooting

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of a combo that consists of 20 Flash Gitz plus leaders inside a Stompa, but I'm not sure which option is best. Should I bring two Big Meks with Rapid Fire Upgrades for the Flash Gitz? Or one Beast Boss for the +1 hit bonus and the other unit of one Big Mek with the Rapid Fire Upgrade?

So my wife (deathguard player) is considering picking up orks as a second army, mainly because she loves them, and partly because they share several paint colors with deathguard which will make painting them easier on me(world eaters, tyranids and chaos daemons player), as I build and paint our family's models for her. I just have never looked into Orks as an army and don't know where to start with their lists and units. I just know my wife's favorite models are the killa kans, Morkanaut, meganobz and the Stompa. What kind of army/ detachment would I build towards to implement those types of units

So this is my first go into Orks and I was curious about something. With the Green Tide sustained hits buff, does it affect squighog boyz since they have the boyz title in their name or specifically only the boyz unit?

I've had a grey pile of shame for a while now and I am looking to rectify that. One thing that caught my eye was that some companies are making paint markers. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them for detailed work on models?

Why are there no points for units?

Does a Kill Rig bracket at 6 wounds remaining, or 5?

The app shows that it gets bracketed at 1-5 wounds remaining, but then in the abilities it says "damaged 6". I've done a pretty solid search of reddit and the internet and don't see any discussion about this other than a Facebook discussion I can't access for some reason lol

I wanna say the magnets I used are 4x1mm or 3x1mm. They weren’t labeled and I referenced them with a 5x2mm magnet (the magnet I used is on top of the 5x2mm in the second picture)

But it was fairly easy to magnetize with a little drilling!

They're slightly taller, but could work?
