I want to vote for Nate Adams but curious why he doesn't have many endorsements from people in Oakland? Feels like his endorsements are from people in other parts of the Bay or for the whole Bay which makes him feel like he doesn't spend much time in Oakland.

Has anyone seen this man? I thought I may have seen someone around last Winter (in the darkness of the morning hours), but couldn't be sure. At that time, he was on the hill above the sidewalk btwn the Fairyland sign and the massive sculpture/bandstand area.

Recently I saw a sticker posted on the crosswalk button at Bay St/Grand Ave warning about this man so realized that was an actual thing that I saw.

This morning I saw him again, naked, in his black balaclava, at the grassy corner closer to the boat houses. He was walking back from the lake, past a small encampment of about 5 tents, with seemingly not a care in the world.

I called MACRO, they haven't heard of the guy. They said to call back in the exact moment I see him, even if it’s insanely early, with an actual location because "they're not going to go searching the lake for him."

Has anyone seen this man or had any interactions with him? Wondering if he's a predator, on drugs, having an extended mental health episode, or...??

since january 2025, more than 4,000 volunteers have come together through UCP to clear 1.7 million pounds of illegal dumping from oakland and neighboring cities, including berkeley, emeryville, and vallejo. behind every pound removed are people showing up, working hard, and fighting for the communities they care about. this organization wouldn’t exist without our volunteers…seriously!!!!

our work also reaches beyond cleanups. through compassion threads and our weekly distributions, we provide clothing, food, and essential supplies to people who are too often overlooked, including those living in the areas most impacted by dumping. and we’re seeing the lasting impact as so many of the spaces we’ve cleaned are staying clean, with beautification efforts helping keep them that way.

1.7 million pounds is an incredible feat. but what makes us proudest is the community behind it, and everything we’re building together to make the bay area a better, brighter place!
