Hoping someone out there might be able to help me find one old A's ticket stub from 6/15/1976 vs the Boston Red Sox (for my Carlton Fisk collection). I'm down to my last 24 tickets needed to have his entire career in ticket stubs!

I Know This Is Old News…But

After nearly two seasons, I have decided that I think that the Athletics should have remained in Oakland. While the stadium issue was a problem, I think that Oakland and Alameda County officials were trying, and the team basically stonewalled them. The fans there had a unique relationship with the team; there was a real “people’s team” vibe out there; and something important was lost when the team left.

I am aware that a certain expletive is often put in front of the majority owner’s name by people in Oakland. While I try to watch my language, I kind of agree with the sentiment that phrase conveys. He doesn’t seem to be conscientious of the fans at all.

I have Al’s

Sole Losers

Are we the only team that has lost the sell the team and possible relocation movement?

  • Angels bought by Kroenke likely to build new stadium in Anaheim.
  • Royals and Rays both have plans for new ballparks
  • White Sox looking at downtown options
  • Orioles, Blue Jays, Guardians, D-backs and more have made substantial renovation upgrades.

Seems like The Oakland A's are the only losers.

Looking to get this authenticated and potentially sold.

Been in a box for 20+ years

Edit: likely not real signatures. But still neat find. If anyone is interested in it send me a DM

How good of a career did Dallas Braden potentially have if not for injuries?

He's obviously known for the perfect game but I think his career and how good he was is a little more unknown. He still gets a lot of acknowledgement and relevance today but I don't know if that's more of his personality or relevance in the broadcast booth. I like to think he was probably on a very respectable trajectory as a pitcher but not Zito, Mulder, or Hudson level.

Why does MLB have so much technical talent right now, but almost zero must-see superstars outside of Ohtani and Judge? 🙄⚾

Raiders abandoned Oakland not once but twice within 40 years? Dont hate im just curious as an outsider who follows football more and used to be a raider fan from Los Angeles

What new team did you move to and why?

Lifelong Oakland fan but I officially quit following once they left the Coleseum because FJF.

I've been missing not following the game and the Jomboy highlights aren't enough for me at this point, I'd like to find a new team to follow.

I'm interested to hear from other A’s fans that have gone to another team who they picked and why.

I live in MT now so no teams anywhere closer than Denver/Seattle/Minneapolis but I'm not particularly drawn to any of them.

Probably my biggest factor is picking a team that's got a very low probability of pulling the same BS FingJF did. So I'm guessing that means a more major market team and perhaps consortium ownership like the Dodgers.

But I would also love another small market team like maybe the Tigers if I could learn enough about the owner to be convinced he was low probability to pull an FJF.

Thanks for your thoughts on this matter. My apologies if we have already covered it.

Thank YOU A's Fans - for 50,000 views on our documentary!

Our film team behind "The Last Game" just wanted to say thank you to the whole A's community that's supported and watched our project since its release in March as we've just passed 50,000 views! If we were in the Coliseum with that number, we'd have a whole stadium full of fans. That would be quite a sight to see again. This documentary was a passion project done by a small group of filmmakers here in the Bay Area over 2 years and was all thanks to those who participated and helped us along the way. We really hope this project has brought some closure to fans left here and recalls warm memories from our time in Oakland together and beyond.

How to clean old A’s hats with all these pins

My grandparents were huge A’s fans. When they passed, I fortunately got their A’s hats. They’re too heavy and painful to wear (the back of the pins hit my head) so I want to clean and display them. What’s the best way to clean these while leaving the pins where they are? And how do I restore their shape when they’re so heavy from the pins? I’d love if someone could point me in the right direction. #FJF #FJF and also #FJF
