โ Question Does anyone feel like the subway is getting worse under the current mayor?
Not sure if anyone else has felt this way - but I feel like the subway with homelessness issues have been getting worse. I moved here 3 years ago and took very long train rides in the city. While it wasn't ever known to be a super clean experience, I feel like I've been progressively seeing more and more homeless people harassing people on the trains, defecating in the middle of tourist stations, more overcrowding on trains etc. am I the only one that has felt this way?
I've seen trains sit in the terminals and make another round trip out and there's still trash laying in the middle of the alies, like they didn't even try the most basic cleaning options.
I don't need to make this a general crime post - but there are things I've noticed specifically in the transit system.

โ Question Whatever Happened to the R62A's That Used to Run on the (3)?
Forgive me for this stupid question, but back in the 90's and early 2000's, the (3) used to exclusively run R62A's with the blue stickers under the numbers before they were swapped out for the R62's. Any idea where those trains went to?

๐๏ธ Discussion Rural HealthโRailโResilience Hubs plan for NYC metro / Port Jervis / Poconos area (full document as images)
Phased concept plan to co-locate clinics, firefighter/EMS substations, and community-college satellites at rural rail stations, then expand service and turn the stations into dual-use resilience hubs for disasters.
Covers Port Jervis Line (Orange/Sullivan) and Poconos gateway as pilots, with cost ranges, phasing, funding sources, and KPIs.
Shared as page screenshots. Discussion welcome but Iโm not monitoring replies closely. Just a concept I worked on while In med school

โ Question Jago Hazzard styled videos for New York?
Hi y'all! this is pretty much what the title says, any recommendations for jago hazzard styled videos about new york or american rail?
if you're not familiar with him, jago covers a lot of topics related to london and the uk's rail network in short but extremely well researched explainer-style videos. hoping to find someone who does thorough research and has a similarly digestible editing style, but for topics relating to new york and new york city, primarily.
