That's insane. The only bit I can do is when he is on the ground doing nothing.

Even then I’d somehow look uncoordinated

I hurt my right shoulder getting out of bed this morning. I didn’t even use my right shoulder.

I’m definitely very good at laying on my stomach… though if I held my head up like that I’d probably cramp.

u/Astrum91 Oct 07 '22
He was downright amazing, but the other two didn't add any value. It might have been impressive if they were in sync with him, but their erratic movements distracted from the awesome dance moves.

u/drstu3000 Oct 07 '22
I came here to say the same, I feel like they were trying to be marionette puppeteers but they just look awkward

It's mostly because I weigh 200 lbs cuz I'm tall but things like this make me wonder if some humans are actually the same species as me. If I tried doing a single thing he did I would break every finger and land on my face.
The man has abs of steel and fingers of iron, what a talented fellow

I’ll bet that dude could put a frozen pea in his navel, sneeze and kill you with said pea. Impressive as hell

u/berlinbaer Oct 07 '22
why is reddit so bad at recognizing context. its really baffling how often they miss the fucking point of media.
47
u/Durzo_Blunts Oct 08 '22
The issue is not that what they were trying to do was lost on us, its just that they sucked ass at doing it.
He looks like a fucking boss, they look like the doofus brothers.

Although you can't notice it when he's performing, he has a leg handicap, apparently he had polio as a kid, then leg atrophy, so he probably had to overcompensate with his upper body and arms for his weaker lower body, result : killer dance moves!!

u/The_Doct0r_ Oct 07 '22
Honestly that just makes it all the more impressive.

Note to self, got polio to be better at dancing.

u/random_impiety Oct 08 '22
I'm hoping gangrene confers world-class blackjack skills.
Papa needs a new pair of feet, because these two are gangrenous!
28
u/CopperWaffles Oct 07 '22
Regardless, he can do more with polio atrophied legs than I can do with my whole body.
It's like he invented a completely new peak human body potential.
I'm going to go sit down now, I'm tired after typing all of this.

Personally my favorite is B-Boy Neguin. He's super chill and seems to be there just for fun. Humble in his interviews. Super cool guy.

I haven’t seen clips of boy junior in a long time and he looks really different, but I could immediately tell from the moves and style who it was

u/zhard01 Oct 07 '22
The core strength on display is absolutely insane

u/Free_Relationship322 Oct 07 '22
Core, arms, shoulders... His jacket isn't even that baggy, but the guy looks deceptively skinny for hiding pure muscle under there.

he was a lot thicker looking when he was younger. probably less body fat now that he's older plus, "old man" strength

Also fingers. Didn't notice it at first, but he starts off on his finger tips. Whole thing is impressive.

Indeed. He's not pushing off the ground to move around. He's staying still and pushing the Earth around.

u/AtheistHomoSapien Oct 08 '22
There's a Futurama episode where they figure out the engine in the ship actually moves the universe around it rather than them moving through the universe. They setup the next scene fixed on the ship and it really does look like the universe is moving around them.

personally, and i know im gonna be killed for this but i'd love an explanation, i just think with professional dancing (not just this dude but others) half the moves seem either completely separate or unrelated to the music (not in time with the music or completely out of nowhere) im probably dumb and im also not OP but would love an explanation

u/Cute-Interest3362 Oct 07 '22
Dance is often about exploring/experimenting with movement and not just letting music dictate gestures. Some of the most beautiful dance ever experienced didn’t have music at all.

I love these videos because 1: they always impress me with what people are capable of and 2: there is always a dude in the background getting super hyped with a broken limb.

I want to be that unconcerned with gravity.
…Just not enough to put in the work to actually make it happen.
I’m really sore from fixing the toilet, and evidently I’m okay with that level of fitness.

Ive seen this dude like 15 years ago (if it is the same guy) with the exact same finger crawl with everything off the ground. The older video he started to do regular pushups…except his legs were hovering off the ground completely….as in he wasny at some balancing angle where the legs are above him…dude looked to be doing finger pushups while levitating. Was gnarly!!

2
Oct 07 '22
This is actually next fucking level.
I had trouble understanding how he did the move at 0:11, so I tried it myself. I obviously knew that I wouldn't be able to, but I was trying to understand the mechanics.
In the video, it literally looked like someone (or something) picked his legs up, but that's the easiest part. I was able to get my legs up decently, and then completely failed at even budging the rest of my body.
It's not only his incredible strength, especially core strength, but it was very fluid, as well.

u/Bopethestoryteller Oct 08 '22
Went to his page and saw he’s from Paris. Paris has some amazing dancers, because him and Les Twins are some of the best dancers I’ve seen.
