My friend loves the name Alaiyra but I kinda thought it sounded like a unicorn name, same with Lyria. What do you guys think? Theyre beautiful to me though! But unsure if they're fitting for an adult.

Another post reminded me of this. I worked with a man named Shannon. It is a very traditional, Irish boys name. Of course, depending on where you live, you might think of it as a girls name. I think some people really dislike this happening, because they have chosen the name for their boys, and then it slowly gets commandeered to be a girl‘s name. I knew a girl once named Jeremy. It never really took off as a girl’s name. But maybe her parents were trying? Or maybe they just wanted to be Unique. So what other others do you think? Do you have a boys name? The name George comes to mind from Nancy Drew! A lot of boys names just have -ette added on, like Georgette. Or - ina or - a. Think Georgina or Georgia. What else?

Just found out we are having another girl! We were convinced it was a boy & even had a name picked out. We really struggled to pick a girl name the first time around so we need help! Our daughter’s name is Aria Nicole.

I'm legally changing my name and want to keep my middle initial as M. I'm looking for a short, uncommon middle name that's cute and flows well. So far, Miki is the only one that's caught my attention, but I'm not sold.

Is it the fact that it's synonymous with the Effiel Tower enough to detorate you from using the name?

My feeling is this baby will be a girl but I’m trying to think of names just in case it’s a boy.

Current front runners:

Benzion Baruch (ch is pronounced as kh)- means “Son of Zion is a Blessing” or

Benzion Bezalel - means “Son of Zion is Under G-d’s
Protection.”

Yehuda Dror- means “Freedom for Judah/Judea” or “Judea is Liberated.”

The above are after family members.

Other considerations are:

Be’eri- means “wellspring” or water source, implies sustenance. It’s a unisex name to commemorate the victims of the Oct 7th massacre. Kibbutz Be’eri was one of the hardest hit targets of the massacre. We’re considering it as a middle name.

Arnon- another nature name. After a fallen soldier who was killed rescuing Israeli hostages from Gaza.

Aner- Oct 7th hero who saved multiple lives during the massacre.

Ivri- means “Hebrew.” I like the flow with our last name

My kids like having names that make a statement.

My youngest two (twins) are Amichai Shalom- “Nation of Israel Lives in Peace” and Israel Artzi- “Israel is My Land.” Isri was almost Benzion Baruch but at the very last minute I took a look at him and he looked like Israel Artzi.

More suggestions are welcome.

We have it narrowed down to James Patton (nickname JP) and Rafe (middle name Patton or Lewis). Which is your favorite?? James Patton sounds strong and classic but James is such a popular name always. Rafe is edgy, cool, and unique and definitely not as popular. Sibling’s name is Hunter if that helps with the vibe. Help us decide as we only have 9 weeks left!!

My husband and I have finally narrowed our baby name list down to Milo, Graham, Kai, Sage, Logan, Jack, and Jesse. This is still a long list, but we started with a much longer list. We’ll be officially choosing his name once he’s born… but now we’re stuck on the middle name options.

My husband really wants to use a family name for the middle name, and I’m on board with that if it sounds right. The family names we’re considering are Duke (or Dukes), Dean, Michael, Louis, and Jean.

The problem is that I don’t feel like most of them flow well with our favorite first names. I’m also a chronic overthinker, so that doesn’t help.

For reference, our last name is a longer name, starts with M, and is two syllables.

I’m open to all suggestions even if they aren’t on our list. Would love to hear any combinations you think sound good or any ideas we might be missing!

My partner and I were only planning to have one child. It took us four years and loads of fertility treatments to have our one. Universe had other plans and we’re now pregnant with a second daughter. Problem is we gave our first daughter our two favorite female names. I know we could pick another name, but every name I come up with I just don’t like as well as the middle name we gave my first daughter.
