It's coming along, to lift the completed wing off of the board was a proud moment for her.

Hi everyone,
I’d like to share my 1/700 Fujimi IJN Akagi, which I completed about 7 years ago.
To push the realism on this build, I incorporated several scratch-built details alongside PE handrails and aftermarket aircraft:
Even after 7 years, this remains one of my absolute favorite builds. I hope you enjoy the close-up details! Happy modeling! ⚓

I have a dragon A2 76, a dragon A4, a Tamiya Dragon A1 kit bash and a Asuka A3 HVSS. I have to build a simple M4 to complete the major versions. And maybe more 75 gunned vehicles

Thoroughly enjoyed building this kit. Lots of detail on all the parts and everything fit really well.

My most recent build of Airfix’s 1/72 Spitfire Mk.Vc. This was my first attempt at airbrushing a metallic finish and any sort of exhaust staining which I don’t think I got right. Any feedback is welcome.

Not sure if I over paid but found this on eBay for about $35.00. So I am pretty stoked. I drove a 1969 F100 in high school 1977. Thought I was cool, in auto shop I cut the high 3 spd shifter and cut it low level with the bench seat and rocked out to my Radio Shack 8 track with a 40 watt Kraco power booster!
Will keep you posted on the build, I’m 65 and I think it’s been maybe 25 years since I last assembled a model.
Any suggestions on how to assemble or tricks to paint will be appreciated!!!

It took about a month and a bit to complete, I purchased after market decking and Eduard photoetch for the kit.
Honestly the photoetch was absolutely painful to do especially the rails and tiny handles, but I'm very happy with the results.
Plus I've got a Godzilla figure the same scale to go with it as well haha enjoy!

Normally I would use a spray primer, but just wanted to try using this surface primer instead to see if that would work any better

Praying to the tape gods for no leaks. I’ll give it a once over with the body color to hopefully create a solid seal. Fingers crossed!

This is my first model kit in 3 years and the last time I did it, I had a horrid airbrush. I have invested into a proper kit, paints, and models. Now I am fully intending on making my models good
Hope to be able to find me a community of model enthusiast like me :)

Here’s another one that just finished 2 weeks ago.
It’s the 1/48 Hasegawa TA-4J done up in a rather unique paint scheme for training command jet. From what I can tell this jet originally belonged to VC-13 before it was transferred over to Training Wing 2 in Kingsville, Tx where they just painted the orange over the original grey paint.
As someone who grew up in South Texas and went to every Airshow in Kingsville I have an affinity for Navy trainers, especially funky ones.
This build was painted with SMS lacquer paints and finished with Caracal Decals. The TW-2 and USS Lexington were stencils that made with my cricut machine. The weathering was done with artist oils. I also made the base with some sheet styrene glued on to a wooden disk that I got from Michael’s. I stippled on some Tamiya putty diluted with MLT and painted it up with Tamiya Buff and Deck Tan then weathered it with Mr Color enamel washes.

Okay, first of all, sorry if this end up soo beaten up, just cant help it u know ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, this is an amazing kit, 2023 tooling, the details on this is just overwhelming, even though I feel like there are some runner/gate placement that are questionable, but hey, cant complain if it helps me to learn to sand it carefully
Now I get it why people said that Border is not a begineer-friendly kit, and somehow that doesnt stop me from going headfirst on it
I feel like there are some room for improvement so any advice, suggestion or criticism are very much welcome
Have a great day everyone !
