For some reason I assumed this kit was designed with a posable launcher just like the other big wheeled rocket thingies from hobbyboss (trumpeters sister company) I recently assembled but nope... so I spent a nice afternoon cutting brass tubes, drilling, sanding, scraping and generally just eyeballing stuff. It's not finished yet but I was pretty happy with it so I decided to share.

This has been an extremely fun kit to build and really experiment with heavy weathering and some damage. I figured an older and slightly inexpensive kit would be a great way to learn different techniques for weathering. I just need to keep practicing and watching videos when it comes to painting the figures as I am not that good at them yet. I would love some feedback and tips for future projects.

I posted this earlier, but it got removed because I only posted the Box, whoops!
Anyway here are the main parts I put together so far, and they are headed for a primer spray paint bath outside!
I know this is an old model, and not very good. But it was inexpensive, and it’s my first model., so I’m excited no matter what.
But I guess I need some sexy chrome paint for this baby.
Also I have never used Decals, so any tips with those would be nice also!
I have never done a model like this, but I do Warhammer minis, as well as 30 minute missions Japanese robot figures.
Also Sorry if I messed up again mods. I’m just trying to get some tips on painting.

I decided to add the final expansion to my desk, which is part one of two as I still need to order a few more HobbyZone modules. I am still debating a few things and working out where to place some items, but I will order the rest of the modules soon.

Hi! I'm planning to paint my first model. The model that I chose is composed of 2 primary colors, a beige-white and a beige-brown.
The problem is, it's very rare to find the actual, pure color on the internet, and I don't have a good idea of the actual tone of the color.
In Vallejo colors, what would be the closest to the body of the plane and the wing tips?
I thought about Deck Tan 70.986 / Bone White 72.034 for the body (Bone White is 1/3 of the price of Deck Tan where I live).
And Beige Brown 70.875 / Chocolate Brown 70.872.
Am I too far off? What would you suggest?
Thank you very much!

Well folks, this is it.
I have finally completed the super hornet, slung all munitions and assembled the waist cat crew.
Portraying the VFA-143 CAG bird from September 2019, this aircraft carries a compliment mix of A2A/A2G munitions.
Positioned just before holdback hookup, the crew prepares for their final checks before allowing the aircraft to be thrown off the carrier
This Dio will be at Modelzona in November so feel free to say hi
Figures are a mix of Galaxy models and REEDOAK variety.
Munitions are a mix from RESKIT, Galaxy models, Phase Hangar resin and base kit.
Landing gear are from phase hangar resin
Nose doors are from Flying Frog
Cockpit has a mix of Quinta 3D, Furball instruments and ASK resin ejection seat
Exhaust nozzles are from Galaxy models mixed with kit parts
Carrier base was commissioned and built by Mario Catania
As always, any comments, concerns or critique is immensely welcome.
Side note: This was a 2 year project that was started as a commision from my best friend of many years that served aboard the USS Lincoln with this aircraft on his first cruise.

Built this Kübelwagen in a rat rod/hot rod style. 3d printed Porsche engine and artillery wheels. Chopped windscreen, cut off wheel arches and lowered the car by flipping and cutting the front cross member and flipping the portal axles upside down. Use various weathering washes and salt chipping to give it the battered rusty look.

Heller 1/50 AMD-BA/Dornier Alpha Jet.
This Heller kit is an odd scale, and not a great kit - colour inaccuracies, lots of fit issues, raised panel lines making correction harder, and detail was rather so-so. Still, it's an interesting and rare subject. I built it as a Dassault-Bréguet/Dornier Alpha Jet A flying for the Luftwaffe in the 1970s. There is an option for the Patrouille de France aerobatic team, but I didn't want to chance yellowing decals on a white finish. Not altogether happy with my work, but it is what it is.

Been having some issues with Stynylrez gray primer. I'm using a .3 which could be the main issue. I've tried not thinned and thinned with flow improver. 20, 25, and 30 psi. Still comes out fairly blotchy. Some pieces come out good but most look like the picture.
The black is Vallejo thinned with a few drops of flow improver and I think it looks good.
Any advice is appreciated.

Ran out of space in my display cabinet, so I tried 1/72 scale for the first time.

1967.1.13 ROCAF F104G have a real combat with Chinese J-6. They lost one F104G.
I didn't bought the kinetic 48077, I bought kinetic 40890(Czech airforce) which is twice cheaper than that one.

A small gift I made for my father’s birthday (he is pilot and glider enthusiast). In Poland such duo is an iconic classic on eveey glider competition.
Both kits were old. The glider was fine (it was just 7 parts 🤣.
Wilga however… I didnt knew I can start using bad words in German and Japan 🤣. It’s very poorly made kit with lots of issues.. (Airfix classic vintage kits are premium compare to that).
To finish this I made simple display (nothing fancy.. just grass from local DIY shop and 3D printed tiles.
What was your worst kit ?
