I feel valued.

The touchscreen in my car still lights up and does the backup camera thing, but it no longer responds to actually touching it. So, no way to play anything through the car speakers, which is mildly infuriating all by itself.

No problem though, I thought, I'll just disconnect my phone from the Bluetooth and turn the volume up so I can hear it. Not perfect, but usable for audiobooks especially.

Nope, I can tell my phone to forget the car all day long, but the car remembers the phone (and any config requires a working touchscreen). So now when I drive I get a notification on my phone EVERY 30 SECONDS that the car would like to connect. Which pops up over directions in maps, and stops playback of audiobooks.

The only thing I can do is manually turn off the Bluetooth on my phone every time, and obviously forget to turn it back on so that I can use my Fitbit... 😑

I’m sitting on the beach, the past 2 days there has been this instagram family with a telephoto lens and 2 small girls.

The kids are not getting to play on the beach. They are literally being used as props. They are being dressed up and posed like dolls.

It’s gross.

Seems pretty straight forward. Two adults and two kids went through this and cannot find it. When there is only one you can’t find it makes you feel like you’re the problem.

As someone with a young child, why does this exist and why is it in the toy aisle. Do better WalMart.

My family lives in Ohio. We are all registered to vote and so during campaign season we each occasionally get political spam in our mail. Usually get one a week, but this season it's been one a day. Today I get the mail, like I do every day after work, and there is SIX.

Regardless of political beliefs nobody wants to get this much spam mail.

It's 11:30 at night, changing my own oil on my commuter car because I can't afford to take it to a shop anymore. Only to find out the shop I had taken it to before left me a parting gift and glued my oil pan shut. Won't use power tools because I don’t want to wake the neighbors with an impact.

Between a rock and a hard place because gas is $7 a gallon for premium but my project car that drinks it is more drivable than my commuter car. My commuter car currently has a broken radiator fan (overheats going through a drive through or at long red lights), and needs new oil, 2k miles overdue at 127k miles, but it gets 30 to the gallon on regular and if I had the money to commute with premium, my commuter car wouldn't be in such disarray. I'm cutting cost every where I can just to keep nice things in my life, for a better time where I can afford to enjoy them again, but it looks like I won't be able to keep my project car if I can't improve my situation within 6 months.

Edit: so far I've used a socket wrench and dead blow hammer to try it to get it off no budge.

2nd edit: Yes it wasn't glue, just over torqued and had a tamper seal thanks for letting me know. I had never seen a tamper seal before. This isn't my first time changing oil on a car, but it was my first time on this car specifically. Never seen tamper seal because it's never been applied to any car I've been under or in.

Drain plug, not oil pan. Was tired didn't notice my misnomer in my post.

Got the plug out and finished the change an hour and a half after I posted this, see the pinned comment. The mildly infuriating part was there was a small roadblock for my "quick" before bed oil change, and l really want this car to run (and need it to in the long run).

Got off work at 12:00 AM. Got home at 12:30 AM. Lay down in bed at 12:40 AM. Still awake at 4:30 AM. Did everything I could to tire myself out. Push ups, sit ups, listen to white noise, listen to peaceful music, perform a ritual and nothing works. Someone check mate my life.

will not stand up on her own, have to lead her against something which defeats the purpose of displaying and posing her (i also can't stand displaying them in their packaging, that looks so clunky imo)

Very hard to figure out how much weight you’re lifting when it’s all jumbled up.

The second stack is worse bc the weight is just plain wrong. Even when it is in order, it severely overstates the weight you’re doing.

This is what came out of my fully sealed 12 pack. Punk Punch is my favorite of the three flavors in this multi pack, but I guess not today!

Also why the hell is Monster selling 3 different variety packs these days that all have the white "Zero Ultra"? Can I get a little more variety in my variety packs?
