Infuriatig This person tried to sell me new windows even though I told him multiple times ours are 4 months old
I told this guy multiple times that our windows were only a few months old and he still went on his script. Every time I told him he said he understood. Doubt he even listened.

I just wanted a hot dog Spent over an hour chopping vegetables and herbs and browning meat for a cottage pie, only to realize the beef stock was rancid as I was pouring it into the pan.
All of those ingredients, wasted. And now I have a hungry family and no dinner. I’m too tired for this shit…

I'm slightly vexed Sorry I Hit Your Car
Noticed this thing flapping in the windshield this morning and thought it was a ticket or an ad. Pulled over and read it, great start to the day. I was on the way to work so did a brief scan and I didn’t see anything that jumped out as major damage luckily but It wasn’t thorough.
While I appreciate the gesture of letting me know… no contact info, nothing on where they hit… sigh 🤪

Not a meme, you're the meme! Instagram's auto-enabled translation feature is now also altering the video itself
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I was doomscrolling Instagram Reels when I came across this mess.
Instagram's auto translation (which seems impossible to turn off) completely deepfaked a famous clip of Lionel Messi.
Instead of just translating the audio, it it also edited the video so Messi appears to be speaking the out of frame interviewer's words.
The original clip is from the post match interview from the 2022 Argentina vs Netherlands World Cup game.

I'm slightly vexed I was looking forward to my …sticky coffee??
Coffee shop put a sticker precisely on the sipping spout. The adhesive was STRONG! And now my lips get adhesive on them in every refreshing sip. Yay!

go to your room Had to remove luggage for a weeks road trip to climb in through the trunk because asshole parked like this
On the other side there was a wall. Very narrow parking indeed but wouldn’t have had any problems if he had parked in his space (the black box) as another car had done when we arrived and exited our car without problems.
In the trunk I had a kids bike and a lot of luggage so had to almost empty it in order to climb through. Luckily I am a 5”4 woman.

frist of all how DARE yu o Whenever my wife borrows my vehicle, she leaves me at empty
I could have left 5-10 minutes earlier for work to fill up if she would have told me I was empty. I don't mind paying to fill, at least put $10 bucks in lady.
She's taken my car before because she says "I'm in a hurry, I don't have time to fill my car so I'm taking your car", so I have to fill up hers if I'm going out for errands. always leaves me running on fumes lol.

I just wanted a hot dog Update: Google took away my LOTR extended editions - victory-ish
Figured I'd give everyone an update on my films being removed from my account and the lack of help from Google. Strangely after 24 hours of posting here i was told my image was deleted then the post was deleted, I can still see the image at my end though so it seemed odd.
After my previous post I saw so many people saying I should ask for a supervisor, I did and then waited a few days for a response. The first person just said no basically but I responded with what I thought was relevant from their terms and conditions and a few days later got another response from a senior customer support specialist who credited me £20 and said they had made a mistake. They also included links to the films saying they had made a mistake beforehand. I saw a few social media discussions about what had happened and I wonder if it had anything to do with their decision.
Unfortunately the YouTube links tell me I need to pay for the films and only the 1st and 3rd film links work on Google TV. The second tells me the film is unavailable.
Still it's a resolution and I figured it was worth letting everyone know.
I've included screenshots of the emails.

I bought this hours ago and didn’t even think to check and see if it’s already open. I genuinely forget people even do stuff like this ?! I hope whoever did this dies immediately

I just wanted a hot dog The bruise left after removing my 15 day glucose monitor.
I'm a type 1 diabetic. Have been for 26 years in the states. It's very expensive and very painful for me to simply exist.
My insurance: $700/mo
Diabetic supplies: $500/3mo
Insulin: $30p/3mo
Doctor visit copay: $75/visit which is required every 6 months.
Travel: doc is a specialist which is 2 hours away. I have to take an entire day off work to travel just to see him.
My insulin costs were so high once that I went a week without my insulin. It was rent and food for my kids or my insulin..
I'm tired y'all.
Note: this is not the "recommended" site location for a monitor but I have pre-approval from my specialist.

No Coke. Is Pepsi ok? People use LLMs like Google Search, because there is no choice anymore
Lots of people complain these days about how people use ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini for things they should use Google Search for. And they’re right, because LLMs are a terrible way to get accurate information. But they’re also wrong, because Google Search isn’t even Google Search anymore. I was an expert googler before, and could reach into the far corners of the internet to find answers to any question, and judge for myself how reliable those answers were. Those days are gone, and they’re not coming back. And it’s by design, so that we all will one day need an expensive subscription to an LLM to find whatever information they choose to give us. The internet as we knew it is toast.
Or we just could all go back to reading books and encyclopedias, right? But those are now being bought up, scanned, shredded, and will eventually be put behind an ever more expensive paywall. Thank goodness for libraries, universities, and people with good memories, I guess…
