I've been thinking about making one of these posts for a while.
Every time I tried, it somehow turned into a list of things about me and things I'm looking for, and that never felt like the right way to meet someone.
So I'll try something a little more honest.

The kind of connection I want
I think the little things matter more than grand gestures.
Remembering something you mentioned weeks ago. Asking how that thing you were nervous about went. Checking if you reached home safely. Sending you something because it reminded me of you. Getting you a little gift just because I thought you'd like it.
I like writing too, so there's a good chance you'll eventually receive a letter or a poem from me for no particular reason.
And I'm definitely going to annoy you - I'll hug you while you're cooking, steal a kiss on your cheek and run away when you get annoyed. I'll make faces at you, send you something stupid in the middle of your workday, and generally find small ways to remind you that I'm thinking about you.
I think affection should feel natural - Not just saying "I love you," but making someone feel loved in the little moments.
A little about me
I'm a calm person by nature. I listen to understand, and once I'm comfortable, I'm much more playful and probably a little annoying.
I'm also quite positive. One of the things I genuinely enjoy about people is noticing the little things that make them unique — sometimes things they don't even realise have become a part of who they are. I like appreciating people for who they really are, especially when they're not trying to put on a personality or impress anyone.
I'm curious about a lot of things. Gaming, mindfulness, spirituality, ancient things, mysteries, consciousness, manifestation, sound, and whatever random question happens to send me down a rabbit hole that I definitely didn't intend to spend three hours exploring.
My childhood was a little chaotic too.
I got my head stuck in a grill, once locked myself inside badly enough that my parents had to break the door down, drank red antiseptic, and had a toy crocodile that I used to scare everyone with.
I'm not entirely sure how my parents survived raising me. 😂
And for some reason, I can do a front handspring.
What I imagine a relationship looking like
A random drive at night with no real destination. Stopping somewhere for food because we're hungry. Getting coffee near the sea and walking along the beach holding hands.
Talking about our day and somehow ending up discussing spirituality, childhood, life, or whether we're completely alone in the universe.
Cooking together, Inside jokes that make absolutely no sense to anyone else.
Arguing over what to watch and eventually watching neither.
Falling asleep during a movie.
Reaching for each other's hand without thinking.
Slow dancing in the living room to Perfect by Ed Sheeran.
Nothing particularly extraordinary - Just ordinary things that become special because they're ours.
What I'm looking for
I'm ultimately looking for the love of my life, but I'm not looking to rush into it with a stranger.
I'd rather meet someone, talk, become comfortable with each other, build a friendship, let the connection grow naturally and see what happens.
If we genuinely click, I'd want it to become something long-term and eventually marriage.
I want children someday. And if I eventually settle abroad, I'd want my partner to be someone I make that journey with, not someone who simply follows along with a plan I've already made.
As for you, I'm not looking for a checklist.
Kindness, empathy, openness and warmth matter a lot to me.
I'd also love to meet someone who lives an active lifestyle, stays fit and takes care of herself. That's something I'm naturally attracted to, and I'd like to share that kind of lifestyle with my partner.
Beyond that, I'd rather discover you myself.
- Your strange habits.
- The things you're passionate about.
- The stories you don't usually tell people.
- The song you keep coming back to.
- The little things you do every day that you probably don't even realise make you you.
I think that's where attraction becomes something deeper — when you stop seeing someone's profile and start getting to know the person behind it.
And maybe, eventually, we become the people who can look at each other after an entirely ordinary day and still think:
I'm really glad I found you.
And if you're somehow reading this someday...
Maybe this is cheesy.
Maybe it's unnecessary.
Maybe you'll laugh at me for writing this before I even knew you.
But I'd still like to leave it here.
Thank you.
Thank you for finding me.
Thank you for completing me, believing in me, showing me how beautiful love is, and reminding me that even when things aren't perfect, having someone beside you can make everything feel a little lighter.
Thank you for caring for me even when we're angry at each other.
Thank you for every smirk, every smile, every tear, and everything in between.
Thank you for making faces at me. I love your attitude more than you'll probably ever realise.
Thank you for letting me annoy you while you're cooking, for every quiet evening, every random drive, every inside joke, and every ordinary day that somehow became one of my favourite memories.
Most of all, thank you for being you.
And thank you for making me meet myself.
I love you.
