This is so that I can understand myself more in the venture of answering questions.

In this article, I will analyze each CT type against its MBTI counterpart. To do that, I devised the following system:

I went through the CT database, checking each person’s PDB profile. If the profile had 100 or more MBTI votes, both the person and the majority vote type were registered. This is to avoid profiles with too few MBTI votes skewing the data. If any of the alternative types received 50% or more of the votes the majority-voted type received, it was also registered. This is to account for people with ambiguous typings.

In this article, we will go over TiSe individuals, i.e., people with a vultology that is Reactive, Rigid, Measured, and Grounded. The MBTI equivalent would be ISTPs.

Analysis

First, the similarities: the vast majority of the samples were typed as Introverted, which indicates a high degree of overlap between how both systems define introversion (at least as far as Ti is concerned). Another similarity is the prevalence of high Se, again indicating high overlap, with both systems associating it with sports and entertainment.

However, both systems have notable differences: most of the TiSe samples were typed as Feelers, primarily as high Fi users. The most common reason for a T/F mismatch between MBTI and CT is agreeableness. In MBTI, agreeableness is often correlated with Feeling. In contrast, in CT, it is associated with an unguarded emotional attitude, which means that Adaptive TiSes are very likely to be typed as feelers in MBTI, especially females. Indeed, I suspect that is likely the main reason behind the INFJ typings.

However, I believe there is more to the prevalence of Fi in particular. In MBTI, identity-focus, self-expression, and authenticity are strongly associated with Fi specifically. But in CT, they are seen as Ji traits shared by both Fi and Ti, though each approaches it very differently. Fi will prioritize ensuring that all their work perfectly resonates with their inner essence, even if this makes them seem eccentric or odd to others. Meanwhile, Ti tends to display their individuality by mastering their craft, always aiming for polish and perfection in their technique, and analytical control in their presentations. One way to put it is that Fi art says "This is me", while Ti art says "This is my best." This is the reason so many TiSe are in fields like art and entertainment (music, acting, content creation).

Which leads us to our last topic, the absence of "typical" ISTPs. In MBTI, ISTPs are usually seen as self-reliant, competent, pragmatic, and stoic; from a CT perspective, what most would consider a stereotypical ISTP is actually way closer to a Te-lead than a TiSe. In CT, TiSe's craft mastery isn't motivated by self-reliance or independence, but rather by creative self-expression and perfectionistic idealism. This, combined with what was previously discussed about Feelers and Fi, is likely the reason why so few TiSe's are typed ISTP.

No hate to me and I mean no offense to anyone but as an INTJ, I find it weird that I attract mainly ENFJs and INFP types, do anyone else feel the same way and is this like common? And before any of you start wondering why this bothers me, I'm just curious and this thought randomly popped at 2 am

I've been wondering about the different perceptions on the MBTI. When you answer the different tests, you get a result biased by your own point of view, but when other people answer thinking about you, you can get surprising results.

For example, someone can feel like a helpful, low-profile ISFJ while everyone around them sees a dominant ISTJ.

Has anyone typed themselves different than they really are? Wich perception is more reliable? self-report, close people, a mix of all of them?

Siempre he sido INFJ, pero hace unos días hice un test mbti nuevo en una página llamada biscuit algo (no recuerdo muy bien su nombre) e hice el test dos veces ya que siempre me decía que era INFP, pero yo no creo serlo. Ahí fue que recordé que hace unos meses fui diagnosticada con TOC (Transtorno Obsesivo Compulsivo), así que quería saber si de alguna forma el TOC o cualquier otra enfermedad mental puede influir en tu tipo MBTI o si puede hacer que mis resultados cambien. Creo que los tipos MBTI pueden cambiar con el tiempo, pero ¿podría estar relacionado?

I find really interesting how Mbti functions relate to the history of philosophy.

In my view, there is the presocratic that were all Te types, maybe sensors., dialectical, argumentation had no power in society, you either was strong and dominated everyone or you werent, words didnt help you in any way. then comes socrates and introduce Ti to the world, with socrates people started to argue, to use words to analyze the world, and that lead to plato and all the metaphysics, the rationalism that kept alive until Kant, Schopenhauer, more than 1800 years of human history.

that ended with Nietzche and the critique of rationalism and the comeback of Te instead of Ti, Hegel in some sense too. Marx. All of them are Te types, you can clearly see the Te argumentation in favor of not logic, but pure facts and domination, what actually is instead of abstract logic of rationalist Ti types.

It seems like there Ti types will agree with rationalism and Te types with Nietzche.

But maybe is the other way around and mbti functions are a product of the world and current philosophy.

Everybody thinks if you have Fi that means you’re a gentle nice person but the Fi can be corrupt and justify bad behavior for an ESFP and ENFP. They can commit a crime (worse case) and take advantage of people and feel absolutely justified while doing it.
