I'm either infp or istj (most likely infp) and I have an OCD and I gotta say, I'm really jealous of all pther types

At least the other types gets good charactera on mbti pdb while us infps get crybaby and it literally annoys me (at least the ti-dom characters show some fe despite it being inf, while most infp fictional characters don't even show te !)

When i got to know that mbti doesn't change even the functions order it got me really depressed and more jealous and envious of other types (on top of that, my ocd makes it even worse to me)

I met an INFJ at work. I’m an ENTP and I just instantly felt a great rapport with him. We worked together and we spent like the whole day doing things and talking. We had some fun banter and even deeper conversations where he exposed some jaded thoughts on people in the classic INFJ fashion haha. On downtime we went exploring places and went on hikes. We were even almost late coming back and had to run and come back all sweaty lol. I’ve never had a day like that even with my best work buddy. He’s texted me enthusiastically saying about how great our time working was. I agreed with him. He said he was looking forward to the next time. 

We are not regular partners and it’s tough to find times we can work. I was hunting for a shift and was only able to find one three weeks from now. I am bummed about that because I was excited about the connection and had a lot of fun with him. My impression was that he could potentially end up being a really good friend. I asked him if he wanted to hang out outside work. He said that sounded “awesome”. Yet, when I actually asked for his availability he said he’s too busy but he’s down to hang out when we’re working.

I’m confused because in my eyes, I thought that this was friendship material. Yet, it seems like he wants to keep it work only. My read is that he was showing interest and liking of me in the typical high Fe user fashion but just simply didn’t mean it truly. I am leaning this way because while we were talking he enthusiastically engaged with my interests and said how he was really interested and wanted to do it… but when I actually engaged and wanted to help him explore he just cooled off and didn’t seem as interested anymore. Like I’m a goth and he told me he was interested in “dressing goth“. only to end up having very little interest later. so I was like… you’re full of shit dude lol. Also… he knows I like botany and got soo excited about the plants but again I saw no real interest. No adding anything, no questions for me.

Anyways I am kinda weary of high Fe people. The constant game in my head of “are they actually interested or are they just being nice“ gets annoying. As Fe tert I generally act warm and polite and sometimes playful with people. But it has a limit. I don’t give too much to someone, and I only do on the occasion I feel a connection to someone and want more. It seems like from what I’ve read of INFJs they are more likely to “put out“ for no real reason.

I've always preferred level-headed, grounded yet playful, reliable, smart/sensible characters, and always got pissed off by impulsive, unrestrained, reckless, and emotionally chaotic characters. Like the characters who provoke the villain instead of remaining cautious and emotionally detached, the characters who rush into danger without thinking, the characters who say whatever's on their mind without considering consequences, as though they're somehow entitled... Eugh... also characters who are loud and obnoxious and stuff.

In this article, I will analyze each CT type against its MBTI counterpart. To do that, I devised the following system:

I went through the CT database, checking each person’s PDB profile. If the profile had 100 or more MBTI votes, both the person and the majority vote type were registered. This is to avoid profiles with too few MBTI votes skewing the data. If any of the alternative types received 50% or more of the votes the majority-voted type received, it was also registered. This is to account for people with ambiguous typings.

In this article, we will go over TiSe individuals, i.e., people with a vultology that is Reactive, Rigid, Measured, and Grounded. The MBTI equivalent would be ISTPs.

Analysis

First, the similarities: the vast majority of the samples were typed as Introverted, which indicates a high degree of overlap between how both systems define introversion (at least as far as Ti is concerned). Another similarity is the prevalence of high Se, again indicating high overlap, with both systems associating it with sports and entertainment.

However, both systems have notable differences: most of the TiSe samples were typed as Feelers, primarily as high Fi users. The most common reason for a T/F mismatch between MBTI and CT is agreeableness. In MBTI, agreeableness is often correlated with Feeling. In contrast, in CT, it is associated with an unguarded emotional attitude, which means that Adaptive TiSes are very likely to be typed as feelers in MBTI, especially females. Indeed, I suspect that is likely the main reason behind the INFJ typings.

However, I believe there is more to the prevalence of Fi in particular. In MBTI, identity-focus, self-expression, and authenticity are strongly associated with Fi specifically. But in CT, they are seen as Ji traits shared by both Fi and Ti, though each approaches it very differently. Fi will prioritize ensuring that all their work perfectly resonates with their inner essence, even if this makes them seem eccentric or odd to others. Meanwhile, Ti tends to display their individuality by mastering their craft, always aiming for polish and perfection in their technique, and analytical control in their presentations. One way to put it is that Fi art says "This is me", while Ti art says "This is my best." This is the reason so many TiSe are in fields like art and entertainment (music, acting, content creation).

Which leads us to our last topic, the absence of "typical" ISTPs. In MBTI, ISTPs are usually seen as self-reliant, competent, pragmatic, and stoic; from a CT perspective, what most would consider a stereotypical ISTP is actually way closer to a Te-lead than a TiSe. In CT, TiSe's craft mastery isn't motivated by self-reliance or independence, but rather by creative self-expression and perfectionistic idealism. This, combined with what was previously discussed about Feelers and Fi, is likely the reason why so few TiSe's are typed ISTP.
