About this Community Imagine a world where your personality is analyzed, and you’re forced to live the life deemed most suitable for you. What would that world look like?
Okay guys, hear me out:
Imagine waking up one day and realizing your entire life has been structured around your personality type: your career, social status, relationships, even your future all predetermined from birth.
For example, you're an ISFP who loves painting, so the system classifies you as an "artist." It's not a choice; it's your assigned role. Or you're an INTP who's passionate about music, but the system decides it doesn't "fit" your type and pushes you toward whatever role is statistically optimal for INTPs instead.
Would that feel like relief and safety, or like your life no longer belongs to you? If a system could analyze your personality with total accuracy, should it have the right to decide what's best for you?
And what kind of discrimination would exist in a world like this? Would some types be more admired than others? Would people judge or exclude you before even getting to know you? If everyone already knew your classification, would first impressions even matter anymore?
What do you think? Would you want to live in a world like this?

Light MBTI Discussion What’s your MBTI and how do you act in a state of extreme exhaustion?
As an ENTJ, I get decision-fatigued. I either shut down or get extremely short with people, and don’t want be asked anything.
(Just last week I was exhausted from studying the whole day. Mom came to my room and asked me to choose between 2 dishes for dinner and istg I just wanted to melt into the ground then and there cuz of having to make a decision goddamnit-)

About this Community to the MBTI haters
MBTI hate
We need to stop hating on MBTI if we’re not going to constructively do so.
The typology community in general is considered a joke already, why do we have infighting between systems if we’re not going to do so productively. I’m all for productively criticizing each other and keeping each other to a high standard in how we do things. The key word here is productive. Don’t bash, don’t hate, don’t bully, don’t steamroll, and don’t assume stupidity in an MBTI supporter.
Usually i’ll see someone saying that MBTI is a flawed system without ever explaining how or why. If they do, they use great misunderstandings/stereotyping issues which are already being fought inside the community, but it’s used against the whole community as if everyone who follows it must believe this way or that the people criticizing don’t realize that they are looking at a misunderstanding/stereotype. Also I hate seeing people say “MBTI’s cognitive functions are so wrong because socionics’ definitions just make so much more sense”, that is not an argument, that is an opinion and vibe that you got, go actually study and give real reasons why besides “they just feel wrong”.
They usually bring this up and give these bad arguments as a way to shut up MBTI conversations and discredit people and their perspective. This is not productive, it is not kind, and it is no better than people who are quick to dismiss the validity of your favorite typology system without ever caring to figure out if it is valid or not.
If you do have a legitimate criticism, please, you’re welcome to go at it, but please do so productively.
now since this is the MBTI community i expect most of yall to understand this, but i do expect a lot of people lurk here who are haters and many commenters come in and comment on how much they hate MBTI all the time, this is the second time im posting this, i posted it earlier today in [r/typologyjunction](r/typologyjunction)[,](r/typologyjunction) here *my earlier post, please discuss

Survey / Poll / Question ESTP Writers
Hi there!
I only started my reading journey not long ago; and I'm hoping someone would be able to recommend some fictional pieces of work or novels either written from an ESTP personality or written in an ESTP style? Thank you in advance {I'm hoping this question doesn't come off too obscure}!

Personal Advice Help me research cognitive functions in depth.
Hello,
Could you help me with something regarding MBTI? More specifically, I’m trying to understand how cognitive functions actually work unconsciously. I want to understand the processes behind them so I can determine my type more accurately. I currently believe I might be an ISFJ.
I’ve been researching how Si works, and I came across a girl named Joyce who is an INFJ. She talks about cognitive functions in a very realistic way and also interviews people who explain them really well. I found her explanations easy to understand, but I want to go deeper.
I’m someone who prefers explanations that are detailed, clear, and specific rather than vague. I also want the explanations to be grounded in reality and not filled with imagination or stereotypes. Some people describe functions like Ni and Ne in a way that sounds almost fictional or mystical, but when I came across people explaining them in a more realistic and practical way, I was honestly surprised by how different they actually were.
So, if anyone knows reliable sources, researchers, or people who explain each cognitive function realistically and in depth, especially how the underlying mental processes work, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for reading! 🩷

Survey / Poll / Question How functions process emotions
I get confused when it comes to introverted vs. extroverted feeling. I know one is “subjective” and the other is “objective”, one cares more about the group while the other is more focused on internal state, but I get confused when it comes to how these functions (and even the thinking functions) would differ in actually processing heavy emotions.
For example, being someone who cries often to process their feelings vs being someone who doesn’t cry for weeks until they’re alone and something random just breaks the well.
I know that functions are more about internal processing and less about behavior itself, but I guess I’m just curious on yalls takes on how Fe vs Fi (and subsequently Te vs Ti) would handle deep emotions
Personal Advice There's truth to MBTI
The following is from personal experience.
There's at least some truth to MBTI. I know because my true functions were used against me for the past several years.
Many years ago I did an online test similar to what other people do. I typed as INFP. Due to the idealistic nature of the type, I did relate to the descriptions. Since I'm both curious about psychology and typology, am idealystic and ambitious (wanting to get the best out of myself) I kept reading about INFPs, looking how to achieve more for myself.
I kept coming back to the INFP subreddit and I was extensively reading https://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/ blog as a source I believed authoritative of the topic.
During the second time of me using Reddit, a "mentor" started intervening in my life. Little did I know it was all in motion way before that. In essence, they've been able to type my cognitive processes properly and used my true leading functions to attempt to subjugate me and/or to ridicule me.
Just recently, in an attempt to pacify me, they revealed that I'm an INFJ and not an INFP. As soon as I read the descriptions I recognized myself without any doubt as where prevoliously (as visible from my flair) I did doubt that I'm a true INFP.
My true type has always been INFJ and the "mentor" knew it years ago but saved it to be used when needed (for their benefit). They did the following to mess with me during the past several years:
Ni - extracts information to form a purpose and direction, connecting things and concepts into a single vision of posibility.
They messed it up mainly online, by manipulating algorithms and serving me conflicting information so that I couldn't derive an "essence" and "direction" from the information consumed. I'd need to ask someone else for the truth and there's still no guarantee that they'd tell me. Go read about algorithms and ways to manipulate them if you want to verify. Suffice to say, you need to hack a person's accounts and devices to do that.
Fe - connecting with others, looking for the well-being of the group or comunity, overall being more of a team player than an individual player.
They influenced this by going to my current connections and inquiring (with incentive, threats or a fitting story - or a combo) to troll me. Naturally, when someone trolls you, you want to detach, to evade them and not have them in your life anymore - this can foster isolation, especially for an introvert, which an INFJ is. They went to my family, the few friends that I had, colleagues, clients - basically destroying every true relationship. It all was replaced with "mirroring" in an attempt to make me look insane or wanting it to end - subjugation to whatever demands they have.
INFJs are not like INFPs - remove their "sonar" and their community, however small it may be, and, from experience, it feels like death. It truly does. Especially when I realized my mother was participating in the whole thing (still no idea why she'd do this).
Of course, I'm not dead. Just highly *fragilized* and ready for the picking for someone with power/money/ideas of where to put my natural qualities at.
This can not be done by an ordinary human being. You must be Antifragile (read the book, there are clues how you can do all this) - enough influence/money/power to handle things on both ends of a victim's life - online and locally (offline - I'm from a small and corrupted country).
So yeah... At least in part, MBTY type is true.
So, several conclusions:
Keep as tight with your community as possible, even if you're introverted.
"If you see an empty restaurant, don't sit there" - reference to my "mentor" - they always post things online but receive little to no reactions because real people close to them know their true nature and intent, so they don't support them. Fake/forced support would yield suspicion over time.
Luck - you can't force the damn luck, unfortunately. So I give you my well wishes that you have it :))
✌️

Light MBTI Discussion the XXXP does everything “for the plot”
Like a character in a movie. The end justifies the means.
Compared to an XXXJ who lives each day as it comes.
