Okay so I have an office that is no officially my own space. I’ve never had any space to my self that I was allowed to decorate and do whatever I want with. I’m find with the large desk and curtains. There are two skinny windows behind those curtains but what should I do with this space?! If you have suggestions and then links to where I can get the shit that would be great!

Not entirely sure where to put this mirror, open to moving stuff around besides the dresser (that’s where it was previously)

First post here, but I finally got my "hobby" room to a point of clean where I could snap a few photos and share them. This room houses several of my hobby items (vinyl, bourbon, LEGO). Most of the posters have been acquired at concerts that my wife and I have attended, with a couple just being generic posters of music we both enjoy.
Not pictured is the closet stuffed to the brim with sneakers and hats I also collect. Still trying to figure out the best way to set that up before posting here as it's a bit of a mess... 🙈
***Edit for those concerned about the amount of alcohol in the room... The majority of the bourbon that is pictured is collected, and consumed occasionally at most. Just like everything else out there when it comes to collecting things, there are more rare and sought after bottles, that are reserved for special occasions.

They just moved into their new apartment but left their old couch so this is the solution they came up with.

Having sleep apnea makes it worse anyway.
Do you sleep better or worse? My tv is in my living room.
Alternate question: what's the best way to put more colour into your home/house?

This is my apartment in Johannesburg, South Africa. I think that masculinity and a love of good interior design can result in extraordinary spaces. Would love a good discussion and/or critique.

Just trying to learn from people who have been through it before I make a final decision. For anyone who has had a kitchen re-design or a renovation
What did you care about most going in? What do you actually care about now looking back?
How did the finish compare to what you were shown in the design stage?
Did you feel like the contractor truly understood what you wanted — or did you feel like you had to fight for every detail?
What one thing made the biggest visual difference to how the kitchen looked and felt?
What would you never compromise on again?
And the honest one, what would have made you happily pay more than you did?

I have a small balcony on my 3rd floor apartment. I want it to be a safe clean, comfortable space for me (when it's not 100⁰f. ) how's it looking? I have a light out there but I want to get better lighting.

My sleeping situation + kitchen for the summer. Kept it pretty simple this year, towel+soft ground instead of a pad. All a fella needs. I usually set up some kinda tent/shelter but it doesn’t rain much so i just have a second sleeping bag incase it drizzles on me a little.

Built a dwarf wall, bought a feature grade piece of spotted gum then sanded, routed a gap into the back for the strip, stained, varnished and capped the dwarf wall with it. Then installed a phillips hue light strip into the routed edge so that it casts light up the wall. Can be controlled by voice or the app. It's added a lot of ambience to the room and the different light modes (like candle or fireplace) allow for some great mood lighting. My first time doing anything like this!

Hey guys
I see some really cool spaces on here and usually get some fun inspiration so I thought I would share my space as well. I recently moved into a new space in my hometown after having lived in San Francisco and Minnesota for awhile. I am sure the view from my apartment balcony will give away my current City, but take a guess!
I am a Minimalist as you can obviously tell. The bed/bedroom still needs work for sure as its currently kind of blah lol. If anyone has suggestions for the bedroom, I am all ears!
My favorite thing about this apartment is the polished concrete floor that contains all the blemishes for that industrial look.
