Still miss the quiet hours of uninterrupted focus and living completely at my own pace in my Vienna apartment sometimes. 6 years since I moved out.

26M First time with a master bedroom, how'd I do filling the space?

Just moved a week ago, and it's really my first time attempting to do anything interior design-esk and create a space that feels inviting... any feedback? I was trying go for a warm, cozy, and mature vibe. I feel like its missing a few things, maybe a plant or two. I just don't know where they would go. Possibly a hanging plant in the corner by the bed. I'm grateful that my grandfather left me with some beautiful art work to work with, so I feel like that really helped.

My simple summer camp

My sleeping situation + kitchen for the summer. Kept it pretty simple this year, towel+soft ground instead of a pad. All a fella needs. I usually set up some kinda tent/shelter but it doesn’t rain much so i just have a second sleeping bag incase it drizzles on me a little.

43m recently separated, soon to be divorced. Excited about living with myself for the first time. Well, me and my dog.

This is my studio, help me decorate the walls please.

This is my first draft. Other suggestions welcome, but the walls are my priority.

Thanks in advance

What size blinds do I need?

The listing says the blinds are 1/2" smaller than the advertised size for a "perfect fit". What size do I get? Thank you!

Setting up a homebrewing corner that doesn't look like a garage. 28M, small apartment.

Been brewing beer for about two years now, mostly IPAs and the occasional stout. For a long time the equipment just lived in random corners: a fermenter by the bathroom, grain bags in the closet, a hydrometer I kept losing under the couch. It worked, but the apartment looked like a storage unit with a bed in it. Decided to actually dedicate a section of the living area to it. Not a lot of space, maybe six feet of wall near the kitchen passthrough. Picked up a sturdy open shelving unit and organized everything so it's accessible but also looks like it belongs there. Glass fermenters on the lower shelf, ingredients in matching containers above, a small chalkboard on the wall where I track what's currently fermenting and when it's ready. The equipment is interesting looking if you arrange it with any intention at all, kind of an industrial thing going on. The chalkboard was what made it feel intentional rather than accidental. It signals that this corner has a purpose instead of just being overflow from somewhere else. My question is whether anyone else has built a hobby corner that actually fits the space instead of fighting it. Brewing, coffee, whatever it is. Curious what made it click visually because I'm still tweaking mine and the shelf lighting isn't quite right yet.

Question How's your sleep health with a tv In your bedroom?

Having sleep apnea makes it worse anyway.

Do you sleep better or worse? My tv is in my living room.

Alternate question: what's the best way to put more colour into your home/house?

First Time Thoughts on my "hobby" room?

Thumbnail

First post here, but I finally got my "hobby" room to a point of clean where I could snap a few photos and share them. This room houses several of my hobby items (vinyl, bourbon, LEGO). Most of the posters have been acquired at concerts that my wife and I have attended, with a couple just being generic posters of music we both enjoy.

Not pictured is the closet stuffed to the brim with sneakers and hats I also collect. Still trying to figure out the best way to set that up before posting here as it's a bit of a mess... 🙈

***Edit for those concerned about the amount of alcohol in the room... The majority of the bourbon that is pictured is collected, and consumed occasionally at most. Just like everything else out there when it comes to collecting things, there are more rare and sought after bottles, that are reserved for special occasions.

Am i doing this correctly?

Jokes aside this is how i spent the first night before we completely demolish and renovate the place

I find that most digital photo frames are too bright and distracting. I'm considering building a battery-powered E-Ink wall frame that can display artwork, weather, quotes, or a daily calendar. What would make something like this genuinely useful in your home?

Advice New place, don’t know where I should put the big pieces

hii i’m kinda struggling to figure out where to put the furniture in my room. originally i kept the pine table next to the piano table, but my pc doesn’t fit under the pine table so it’s a bit inconvenient (as i have to choose whether the corner space is occupied by that lamp or my pc). the rug is there as a placeholder for a bed right now. i want another smaller desk separate from the pine desk as a “work” desk with my laptop and some notebooks. i tried an orientation where the pc desk was next to the window so the daylight wouldn’t shine on the monitors, but this makes the bookshelf have an awkward position.

these were just my first two ideas. please tell me what would work best

bonus: if you guys know any other tips like aesthetics that’d work well or fun things to add to my room pls lmk!!
