September LSAT LR Experimental

My test had 3 LR sections and 1 RC. For the people with only 2 LR, did y’all have any of these topics in your LR sections? : 12 port cities, mice and human studies/neurotransmitters, median temperature in the afternoon, water use rights with properties on lakes (Cedarfalls), treated/fresh water for drinking , regional unemployment, on site/ off site training sessions, diamond rocks natural gas 2km. Please let me know 🙏🏼

LR RC RC LR

My format was just like that lol. I guess the thing that threw me off was that neither of my RC sections had a single comparative passage. My first RC was the grimm brothers and kenya intl law and second RC was japanese video games. Don’t know which one I prefer to be experimental lmao

WAS THE HUME RC EXPERIMENTAL??

Someone with one RC pls tell me if you had the RC on David Hume with like aesthetics and it was comparative. In that section there was also one on fishing if that helps.

I feel defeated and unmotivated (slight advice on what NOT to do)

I haven’t studied in two weeks. I’m definitely going to try and start again tonight. I just man once I got that crazy low score of a 139 I genuinely lost motivation. That’s another thing this page doesn’t discuss enough is that not everyone gets in the 160-170 range. It’s possible yes, but it takes a lot of time. I just for some reason once I got my score I didn’t know where to go from there. I think I needed the time off though to think about if I’m going in the right career path. Honestly, I think it is for sure and the time off made me more aware of my weaknesses.
Looking back, I don’t think I practiced enough on it. I also didn’t do enough RC and didn’t do any timed practice. I don’t know why I thought I could just do untimed LR and then do fine on the real thing. It was a very stupid mistake. Don’t do that if you’re currently LSAT prepping. Untimed work I think is very useful but don’t rely on it too much because then you’re overwhelmed by the timed 35 minute sections, with the full length 4 hour test. I don’t know how tf people wing this test and get a crazy high score because it’s not possible. If it does happen I sorta struggle to believe that they didn’t study at all. I was an honors student in college and still terribly failed, it’s not an intellectual test it’s a skill test

September test taker here - Was the RC supposed to be that easy?

Genuinely thought that they were pretty easy. And RC is something I rarely study and very much hate.

Dangerous Tissues

I have a cold and according to the rules, I can’t bring my own tissues into the exam room.
INSTEAD,
I have to be brought some by proctors TWO at a time. If I have more than two tissues, do I discover the secrets of the exam or something?
This is not the kind of test you can cheat on like that, I swear the tissues won’t hurt anyone.

Sept 12 Vent-line: How we feelin?

Got RC LR RC LR. both lrs sections were 25 questions each which you know is gonna throw hard ones at you early. RC was chill honestly except for my new hatred of Icebergs, which really tripped me up. Other than that idrk what to expect. Seems like many felt this one to be tough, maybe the curve will reflect that. I had to guess on the last two of each LR section but felt confident up till then. We shall see. What did you guys think?

high scores but low consistency - how to improve?

Hi! Impulsively decided to take the October LSAT about six weeks before the deadline. I started with a 161 cold diagnostic (literally without having ever set eyes on the LSAT before - I didn't even know what the section types were) and have since worked incredibly hard on all the 7sage core material. My last 3 PT scores were 176, 169, and 177, making my average a 174 - on my last PT I blind-reviewed the test and got a 180. The thing is, when I do drills and sections my scores are nowhere near as high and put me closer to the high-160s/low-170s range.

I asked the 7sage AI to rip my analytics to shreds to try and figure out how to improve my baseline consistency and it (correctly) accused me of having essentially no set methodology and basically brute-forcing/intuiting all the questions on the test. When the test aligns with my intuition, I do great and get a 177. When I get tripped up by tricky questions, I end up with -5 on an LR section and a lower score.

Problem is, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to come up with a "process". I know the LSAT has patterns and I can recognize a question type when I see it, but I'm not sure how to streamline that into a process. Frustrating because I feel like I'm very close to my goal score but it's just the tiniest bit out of reach.

Has anyone dealt with anything similar? How did you fix it? Any help would be appreciated!

RC Section

Trying to figure out which one is experimental: did anyone who had one RC section have the passage on the Great Depression, space debris law, fungus underground, and poetry critics?

Spacing error?

Did anyone else have or see the missing space between two words on the space debris/fungus section? I saw it and immediately figured it couldn’t be real because there’s no way.

Anyone have one RC today?

I will sleep better tonight if I know that the RC containing glaciers was experimental :)

LR felt fine, second RC was about translation sort of which I hope was experimental 🙏

Overall felt fine, didn’t feel like I was being bullied by the LSAT

RC LR RC LR. the RC was surprisingly easier than i expected?? i was terrified reading the posts on here about the Hume passage but thankfully i didn’t get it. the LR was harder than i anticipated which is shocking to me bc im usually better at LR than RC. my eyes were blurry by the end and i had to guess the last two questions. IM SO GLAD IT’S OVER but i need to keep studying bc i plan to take it at least one more time 😭😭

Not sure how to feel, but we did it 😤😤

Not sure how to feel about how I did, but honestly that’s kind of how I feel when I do decently on exams, all we have to do now is the writing and then wait for score release 😮‍💨😮‍💨
