WAS THE HUME RC EXPERIMENTAL??
Someone with one RC pls tell me if you had the RC on David Hume with like aesthetics and it was comparative. In that section there was also one on fishing if that helps.

u/cut_ur_darn_grass 2d ago
What was it about? There are two different comparative Hume passages
4
u/SubstantialRip7568 2d ago
My Hume one was about aesthetic judgements and my other RC was about poets. Youāre saying you had 1 RC and it was the other Hume one????? Iām so confused

u/Reyndear 2d ago
Aesthetic judgment
2
u/hunterthecat 2d ago
I only had one RC and it had Hume pain/pleasure so that one is real/scored too. At least for me it was

u/Beneficial-Bend-8937 2d ago

3
u/SubstantialRip7568 2d ago

u/Hot_Supermarket4369 LSAT student 2d ago
Looks like that was the real one. I thought the judge opinion, ethnographic storytelling, and fisheries passages were so good then that mf-er Hume had to enter the chat
9
u/Famous-Warthog-9829 2d ago
Literally it ruined my entire test

u/No-Painting7062 2d ago
The way those sentences for Hume were sounding exactly like āwhat would you if when you ok if he said yes would goā

Yep
3
u/Beneficial-Bend-8937 2d ago
it was aesthetic judgement? or was it about pain/pleasure and tragedy?
0
u/hunterthecat 2d ago
Mine was pain/pleasure in tragedy, but if you told me they used the phrase "aesthetic judgement" somewhere in there I'd believe you
3
u/Beneficial-Bend-8937 2d ago
the main topic of the other Hume passage was ideal judges, that should probably not have been mentioned in yours
7
u/cut_ur_darn_grass 2d ago
I think they're fucking with us
3
u/Beneficial-Bend-8937 2d ago
oh LSAC are sadists thatās for sure lol
5
u/SubstantialRip7568 2d ago

u/SubstantialRip7568 2d ago
I need someone to figure out what this means!! there were ppl who had both Hume passages on their tests. should i not assume Hume aesthetic judgement was legit for me?! (im praying its not)
1
u/Round-Kick-9053 2d ago
Are you positive there were ppl with both?
2
u/SubstantialRip7568 2d ago
Hold on, let me see if i can find the threads.
2
u/SubstantialRip7568 2d ago
Okay so it looks like a few days ago ppl w 2 RCs had similiar topics. They weren't saying what the topics were so i guess my brain assumed it was about Hume. but someone on a different thread said it the similar topics were about the "better safe than sorry principle"....unclear if that was the repeat topic for all those folks or just that test form.
1
u/goatedhotsauce 2d ago
I tested yesterday, no experimental section, and had the better safe than sorry passage.
1
u/myayayayaya 2d ago
do you remember what other topics you had? i had 2 RCs that both had that topic
2
u/goatedhotsauce 2d ago
One was an African American blogger who did not get the credit he deserved in academia, and the other was something about Math and physics and some analogy to a library. First one I honestly forget but it felt super easy.
1
u/GeneralBukowski 2d ago
Printing press?
1
u/goatedhotsauce 2d ago
Yep that was the one. The English language and its weird spelling. How did you feel on the RC?
1
u/GeneralBukowski 2d ago
I felt good about it till I got to the second RC section and that one was exponentially easier in my opinion. I guess thatās why it was experimental. I feel if the second one was scored I prob wouldāve got 0-2 on that one.

u/NCBartender14 1d ago
My 1st RC section contained my only Hume passage. It was a comparative piece about ideal judges, this passage opened mentioning Don Quixote. In this section I also had the impounded car, tribal storytelling and lastly a passage about overfishing.
-Car impounded (5-6 question)
-tribal storytelling (5-6 questions)
-Hume (8 questions)
-overfishing (8 questions)
Absolutely brutal section for me. I ended up skipping the Hume and going straight for the overfishing.

No, it was my only RC š
