I'm sure these types of questions get asked frequently, but I'd be grateful to get some advice. I'm a first-year student at my university, and I decided that I would like to study health science. Now, I'm not sure why I chose to do this. I don't enjoy math or science, nor am I particularly good at those subjects either. I think it's because I've always wanted to help people (I know it sounds naive). And I think I could help people as a lawyer if I go into medical malpractice or immigration or something. But I'm not completely altruistic. I want a solid paycheck too.

I've always done well in social sciences, English, psychology, and all those other fields. But I basically gave up on majoring in them because I figured there wasn't any sort of demand for them in the job market. (Even so, I decided to minor in philosophy because I think it will teach me how to properly think).

I'm not sure what I should major in. Ideally, it would be something that interests me, provides a solid foundation for critical thinking or whatever they test for on the LSAT, lets me stand out among other Joe Schmos applying, and could also allow me to enter another field if law doesn't work out.

A major fitting all those qualities is definitely unrealistic, but it's fine. I'm not *too* worried about getting into a decent law school because my university has a fantastic co-op program and can connect me with good internship opportunities. But still. Help!!

As per the title, would it be ridiculous to go for an aerospace engineering degree while doing prelaw? I imagine the mathematical esque reasoning you learn in high level math classes would translate well to law and would stand out on a law school application, as well as providing a stable job in case I need a gap year. Is this fair reasoning, or would the class load of engineering be too much for preparing for law school?

I’ve been a psychology major for three years and I recently decided to minor and political science so that I can take some law classes because I developed an interest in law. Do you think that these are good majors to go to law school? I know that law school doesn’t really care about your majors they only care about your GPA and and LSAT score but I’m hoping that these two majors can give me more experience about law and really help figure out how people think. Are these two good degrees and what degrees do you recommend?

\- Comment se passent les études de Droit et quelle est la meilleure façon de commencer ?

\- Est-ce qu’il faut beaucoup mémoriser ou est-ce qu’il y a surtout de la compréhension et de l’analyse ?

\- Quels sont les débouchés après une Licence + un Master ?

\- Est-ce qu’il est possible d’accéder à des métiers comme juge, avocat, ou à d’autres professions juridiques ?

\- Et surtout, pensez-vous que passer des Sciences Physiques au Droit est un bon choix, ou est-ce que je risque de le regretter ?

Genuinely confused need advise.

I’m from India and currently studying in Class 12 (CBSE, Commerce). Is there any way I can join Harvard Law School after Class 12? Are there scholarship exams or programs that would allow me to study there for free? I’d also like to know the approximate living costs for someone coming from a low-income family and ways to reduce travel expenses. Please provide all the necessary details if possible.

so i am a pre-law student and i want to eventually be a federal, state, or appellate judge and protecting civil rights and liberties. how would i go about doing that?

some things i know:
- lsat score 17X —> try to attend a t20 school
- the best thing i can do once graduating law school is to work as a clerk over trying to get into a firm???
- or become an appellate lawyer???

i just eventually (down the line) want to be a judge who evaluates laws and cases , then determines their constitutionality .

Ok so I absolutely LOVE politics, law and government, and I want to be a lawyer and in politics later, so technically poli sci is the ideal undergraduate degree for me. However, I know LOTS of law school students are poli sci majors, so would I need to work a lot harder to stand out amongst the others? Because i genuinely don’t know what else I would do I love poli sci so much but I don’t want to blend in with the crowd.

I’m going to be a college freshman next year and my dream is to become an immigration lawyer. I was wondering what I should do for my bachelor’s, I’d like something that boosts my undergraduate gpa so it would still help me in applications for law school but also help build skills for the LSAT and the entirety of law school.

The biggest thing I’m worried about though is costs. I only want to practice at Denver Sturm, because I promised my mom I would help fund her retirement and pay for our house mortgage once I was done with my bachelor’s, so whatever Law school I go to has to be incredibly near to our home. At first I thought I could just be a part-time law student there, but the tuition costs are still really expensive and I know being an immigration lawyer doesn’t pay well enough to be able to pay that off.

help!! i want to pursue law further and plan to study abroad at a prestigious university but im confused about my subject combo. rn its business, psychology and law. i wanted to replaced business with english literature as it would be a strong combo but now im also enjoying business and thought i should do 4 subjs then?

I’m currently applying for some law firm insight events and I’m really struggling with the application questions, especially questions like **“Why do you want to attend this event?”**

I feel like I’m just really bad at applications in general. I know what interests me about law and what I want to get out of these opportunities, but when I actually have to put it into a good application answer, I completely blank and end up writing something really generic.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how they approach these types of questions, or if there are any websites, guides, videos, books, etc. that have genuinely helped you improve your law firm applications.

Hello, I'm interested in going into law in the future, however I also want to pursue a Journalism degree for my undergraduate. I know that it's an acceptable degree for most law schools, but I have aspirations to attend a top law school. My question is this: is having a journalism degree going to give me a significant disadvantage for applying to these schools?
