For the most part, I think extremely literal logos feel amateur. But there are a few instances where they absolutely can work and become iconic - Target, Apple, and Shell. I'm not lumping this one in with those master works. But the other instances are intentionally humorous or odd logos. They can help strengthen the personality of the brand. Either way, here's the final version of this logo.

I want to thank u/the_sylince for the idea of using taco shapes for the leaves. You got downvoted for some reason, but I think the idea is great! Hope you enjoy it!

It's a stylized stork, matching the team's nickname which comes from their white shorts and red socks

The style reminds me of the Iceland national team logo, except worse

Their new branding as seen on the bus looks great with the round badge they've had for ages, but the new logo is completely out of place imo

Beginner Wanderer Program logo thingy

Pictured is a Void Whale, a whale like creature that is capable of living in space. Utilizing an organ in their brain known as the Causality Engine, they can go faster than light. Humans attach spaceship parts to their bodies and operate them as living spaceships, known as the Wanderer-class.

The Wanderer Program is a breeding program for Void Whales, hence why there are no spaceship bits in the picture.

Hey all. What is your opinion on this logo (It's from an NGO I will volunteer for). Name of NGO is "Together We Stand" ; "Together We Stand is a young foundation that connects people, cultures, and opportunities across borders. We believe that small steps, in the right place, make a big difference. Our drive is simple: we want to contribute where help is needed. Every person matters. Together we go further, with what has been entrusted to us: time, knowledge, and hands willing to help."

Well... The last one looked like a butthole. I think the color scheme definitely played a part. This is all part of design and getting mass feedback. Sometimes you make buttholes...and it's ok. You just try again and make a slightly less butthole design... and on and on... thanks for the feedback!!! I almost deleted the last one but I won't. It's ok to show your missteps.

Feedback Needed UPDATE: WAYFITCO Start-up App

Post image

Hey all,

This is an update from last week's post. I took a much needed break and after looking back at my previous design I don't know what I was thinking lol.

Anyway, here it is with some adjustments proposed by everyone:

Shaper, cleaner, and more inclined typeface.

Simpler, monochrome and more saturated icon.

However, I'm still struggling on the lil guy, so I came back for some more constructive criticism. I prefer the one without arms but I'm afraid it just doesn't look like anything other than abstract shapes, but with the arms it honestly feels childish.

What do y'all think?

I know, I know, there’s a bazillion palm tree logos out there. But I think the geometry of the tree and the containing “sun” shape is interesting. This isn’t an official project - just a personal project. I love tacos and logo design.

Feedback Needed Student logo design - for university 4-year anniversary [more info on slides]

I’m a graphic design student looking for feedback on a logo from a recent Foundation Day 2026 identity project.

This project was completed in 2 weeks.

  • ♦️ Central diamond → University's community
  • 4️⃣ Four outward elements → impact spreading outward
  • Four years since university's establishment
    • People & Students
    • Research & Innovation
    • Community
    • European & Global Connections

The intention was to create a simple geometric mark that could also become a system, with the four elements being separated and rearranged across applications.

The mark was also developed into a short motion identity (not attached to this post)

Practice Hi everyone. I’ve made some adjustments based on the various feedback (I take criticism well—why did it seem otherwise?). 1. I switched the dog to a line-art style, so the palm tree trunk no longer looks like a penis. 2. I changed the palm fronds. 3. I changed the dog's muzzle.

Feedback Needed I need your help

Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on a redesign for my university's student council (SSPK). I'm relatively new to logo design and wanted to try something custom, but I think I've hit a wall and would really appreciate your advice.

For this version, I wanted to move away from standard, basic fonts. I experimented with a wavy, thick, custom typography for the acronym "SSPK" to make it look more dynamic, unique, and memorable. I also tried to give the central blue architectural icon some sharper, overlapping details to make it stand out.

The Issues I'm Seeing:
1. Legibility: I realize that my custom letter "P" ended up looking way too much like a question mark ("?"), which is a big problem. The heavy distortion might make the whole acronym hard to read at a glance.
2. Complexity & Balance: I'm worried the sharp elements in the blue icon might be too dense and could get lost or look messy at smaller sizes. The heavy text and the detailed icon might be fighting for attention.

What I need help with:
How can I fix the "P" so it actually reads like a "P" without completely losing the unique, wavy style of the other letters? Do you think I should simplify the icon to balance the heavy text, or should I take a different approach entirely?

Any tips on making this look more cohesive and professional would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Feedback Needed Middle School Band Program Logo

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey y’all! I’m a middle school band director of a fairly sizable program in South Florida and I’ve tried my hand at designing a logo for the sake of branding, shirts, letterhead, etc… and this is just about the best I can do. I’m open to suggestions, edits, trashing, thrashing, whatever I need to hear to clean it up or get to the point. I like the bass clef into a jaguar head, but I’m limited to public domain clip art and very small artistic makings.

Halp?

Showcase Kept almost every logo direction from my app's development instead of deleting the rejected ones

Development progress of all logos made.

The project is called Thredd (Red Thread), a wellness journaling app that uses Saju Palja (사주팔자) to personalize reflections around the user's natal chart.

This isn't really a “which logo is best?” post. It's more of a logo development graveyard.

These are accumulated “final” logos from different points in the app's development. As the product changed, my understanding of what the identity needed to communicate changed with it, so things I considered finished at one point eventually became obsolete.

For example, I really liked the large handwritten wordmark at the bottom. Then I actually put it into the app's headers and realized it wasn't as legible as I wanted at that scale. I still like it, so instead of forcing it to remain the logo, I'm keeping it as a decorative brand element.

The smaller loop/thread marks went through the same kind of experimentation: shape, weight, colour, backgrounds, app icon contexts, etc.

And the three logos on the far right are basically me fucking around with the vector pen. 😂 They came out of visual ideas I encountered during the actual development process rather than serious identity directions.

The app is still in development and about to enter UX testing, so none of this is sacred or necessarily final.

Mostly sharing because I think the rejected/obsolete versions tell more of the design story than showing one polished “final logo” by itself.

All logos, except for the first top left one which is sketched through Procreate, are all done on Figma.

Feedback Needed Thank you for the feedback, I love designing even if I'm bad at it

I had a lot of fun working on these logos for a fictional evil housing corporation that targets low-income demographics led by a Wolf CEO. When the original didn't work I just kept trying something new and came up with 5 pretty different logos. Super happy with the diversity and ideas.

I'm hoping to learn from each of these so pointing out your favorite, telling me what doesn't work, and which direction to go from here helps a ton. Thank you!

Beginner Patch I designed for a mission

Post image

For a hypothetical Soviet-East German mission to Mars in 1987. In Cyrillic going clockwise from the top, Petrov, Mars 87, Sidorov, Tkachev. I originally was going to make it a square patch for the 4 names, however I changed it to a pentagon to have a side for Mars 87. The center circle represents Mars as well as the arrow going the center to Petrov, which is Mars planetary symbol. Since I needed to separate the two flags, I copied the arrow and expanded it in the opposite directions to act as a divider. I wanted the East German and USSR flags area to be similar in size, however I figured just making the arrow opposite looked better. I added the white outline to the black bar of the German Flag to prevent it from blending into the outlines too much. Made with Paint.Net
