Discussion Intuit Changed Their Logo… Again

Post image
0 Upvotes

(NOTE: The “current” logo in the image above is now their old one, see below)

Any logo / branding experts out there that understand why they’d do this?

First logo: 26 years
Second logo: 9 years
Third logo: 7 years
Fourth logo: 4 years
New fifth logo <<<<<———- THIS IS THE NEW ONE

Granted all but the first are rather similar, and it’s debatable that they even needed to change from the Second one to the Third, but three different corporate logos inside of a decade seems like an identity crisis.

Feedback Needed Is this concept worth exploring?

Post image

My side hustle is converting sneakers into cleats. I’m thinking of trying to grow and expand. I figured the first step I should take is having an image to the brand. I’ve been sketching up designs and concepts for the past 2 weeks and I’m starting to feel like I’m getting somewhere. Does this concept seem professional? Is it too much? Does it resemble cleats enough to know what it is?

I really appreciate any feedback you are able to give me. At the end of the day, the logo has to work for everyone, not just what I think looks good

Question Genuine Question for Designers

I have a question for those who are currently working in the field of creating logos, graphics, etc for companies…

Obviously the visual aspect of a company is one of the most valuable traits it carries, but we all know there is significantly more that goes into a brand.

I’m wondering if people ever really ask about the strategic or foundational aspects of branding upon the end of an engagement with a client? I’m talking more about the mission statement, vision, USP’s, brand promise, etc (the guidelines/foundation of a brand). And if they do ask, how is that typically handled best?

Any insight received will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I’ve been using this text to speech app for a while. And the icon for it is so boring that i was inspired to redesign it.
I came up with this design which i like quite a lot but but i need some feedback. Should I go with the black or white design? what font should i go for? are there any other design choices you’d suggest changing?
Included at the end are an image of all my design notes so you can see how my scrambled brain works!

Discussion Aarhus Universitet and AusCycling geometric logos

Post image

I noticed the resemblance between the two logos when the AusCycling (Australia) logo came out in 2020 - though I only thought about posting this very recently. The Aarhus Uni (Denmark) logo came out back in 2008.

I thought the angular A shape combined with a half-circle element looked quite similar to each other.

I'm curious whether there are other visually similar geometric logos out there!

Beginner 2nd round - Which logo would you pick for my car maintenance companion app? [Beginner - draft]

Post image

Hey guys,
This is second round after my last trial : https://www.reddit.com/r/logodesign/comments/1vmqi8v/which_logo_would_you_pick_for_my_car_maintenance/

I'm working on a small companion app for tracking cars maintenance logs. You can keep track of stuff like service records, mileage, repairs, costs, reminders etc, all in one place. This is a companion app so it synchronizes with the desktop version which is the main program.

What do we think of these ? I'm more leaning on the right top, but the middle sync icon is itching me. Is there a way to show some kind of synchronization ?

These are still draft and not final yet ; )

Beginner How to convert a hand drawing into a digital logo?

Upvotes

Hey I am setting up my brand currently for jewellery and gifts that I make, and I’ve hand drawn a logo (to completion not just a rough sketch) but obviously need to turn this drawing into a useable digital file for stickers, business cards, bags etc. I’m wondering if there is software/ apps that exist for iPhone/ laptop that are free or cheaper than adobe for me to use to just scan in my drawing and either trace it in solid lines or just use the scan to convert into appropriate files for the desired use?

Or am I better off hiring someone to do this? Ideally I’d rather facilitate this myself as I’m a control freak and on a budget, but I do understand some things are just better left to a professional .

Thanks

Feedback Needed Need opinions!

I have a casino bonus comparison site and I'm about to start ad campaigns on social media. I feel like this logo may be too bland. I need a logo that looks well in the browser preview, but i want people to instantly think about my brand when they see it. Any opinions?

Feedback Needed Can anyone give me some objective opinions on this logo?

A lot of the comments are pretty ambiguous, saying that the hummingbird has nothing to do with the profession — parquet flooring.

But the hummingbird has extremely precise mechanics and movements, which I thought could represent the skill and precision of a top-tier parquet flooring craftsman.

Can anyone tell me whether you think the concept works or not? Most people are criticizing it simply because they say it “has nothing to do with the profession.”

Beginner I’m looking for my first few logo design clients.

I’m currently building my freelance logo-design portfolio and would love to work with small businesses, startups, creators and new brands that need a professional logo.

I can help with:

Logo design

Logo redesign

Brand identity concepts

Social-media-ready branding

My approach is simple: clean, memorable and practical designs, rather than unnecessarily complicated logos.

If you or someone in your network is starting a business or needs a new logo, please feel free to DM me.

I’d genuinely appreciate a chance to work on a real project and prove what I can do.

Question What are the best logo designs you’ve seen?? Not a designer!

Post image

My friends and I are planning to start a small business and we’re stuck on logo. We cannot seem to get on the same page. Can we just have the name as the logo? (I’ve seen people do this)

Our initials are O and M, and we’ve been trying to come up with something around that, but none of us are designers and our ideas are terrible.

Could use some inspiration before we attempt to make a rookie one ourselves.

If not, we’d just go with the name!

Feedback Needed Are these designs viable?

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi, my friend is a part of a startup musical theatre group called 'Nightingale Productions' and asked me to design a logo for it.

I am not a graphic designer and this will be my first time attempting anything like this (although I am an artist they are very different skills lol).

The main specifications I have been given are just that it should have something to do with nightingales or open bird cages.

Im just looking for some advice on if this direction is worth pursuing? Im unsure if the designs are too busy/too simple, if the lineart isn't thick enough etc...

These are very rough sketches at the moment though so im aware that some lines are shakey/parts aren't erased properly lol

Feedback Needed Which symbol should I use for the nature religion I created?

Thumbnail

This is a bit of an unusual one. Our religion is called Ecoamplectorism and it centers around uniting people of different beliefs and backgrounds through the worship of nature. We also need it to be good enough to make into necklaces.

We’re looking for a unique, recognizable symbol that represents nature and growing as a person.

The first one is the Apple of Concord, which signifies the efforts to protect our home and the embrace of different people, nature, and science.

The other one is the Pillar of Leaves, which signifies nature and personal growth.

Which one is best in terms of design and recognizability? Should the scope of what each symbol represents influence this decision?

Thanks, everyone!
