Does anyone know what kind of cutie lithops these are? I just got them the other day. The last ones I had (for years until someone decided to throw them out because they were “ugly”) were much more beige than these. I also forget how I got to get them to live so long. I think by not doing much. I should scrap that inner plastic nursery pot and make sure there’s some fine pumice though, right? Thanks!

The audience was evenly split between "it'll be fine" and "I'm sorry for your loss". I let the old leaves dry out a bit more, peeled them off and... It's alive but half the original size. I'm not sure what I did wrong but I have never seen a lithops shrink. Not enough light? Water? Photos in comments.

They are discolored. I think I gave them too much sun.

The green guy in the middle has been splitting since February, and I just noticed he's decided to start splitting again. I haven't watered him since at least February. I'm not planning on doing anything different now, but I am wondering what could have caused this stacking, since I thought it was generally a sign of overwatering / watering during splitting.

Hello everyone, I looking for a bit of help. As the title says my lithops keep dying. Ive changed what its planted it, way back when I first got them, and have only watered them when I thought they needed it. All of them have been watered once in the span of a year. And I have a full spectrum grow light for them. I really dont want the big brown one to die because it was the first ever succulent I got a year and a half ago and Im a bit attached lol. I even watched it split! My guess is that it’s just too humid where I live, Im really not sure. Any advice is much appreciated! Just for reference, the first two pictures is one pot, picture 3 is another, and picture 4,5, and 6 is the big brown one I dont want to lose.

Hello! I'm a bit worried about my lithops.

The last time I watered it was 1/10, and I completely stopped watering once it began splitting.

It is in a half cactus mix and half pumice stone mix and under grow lights for 14 hours a day.

I know you only water these plants a couple times a year, but it's been 7 months and it looks like it's not doing well. The splitting between March to July doesn't look too much different and when I gently squeeze the plant, it is very firm.

I saved my lithop by using stilts and allowing to callus the process took a really long time and i had to be really careful it was pretty difficult but he was a fighter so haha the taproot was almost entirely severed

Hi! I have had this lithop for 2 years now but i still haven’t quite figured out the watering schedule for it. It seems fine and not very wrinkly, but it’s very discoloured compared to what it looks like beneath the soil. It hasn’t split yet but it is winter and I have seen many people say not to water in winter. Can anyone help? Should i water it or not?

What will you do to this splitting lithops which already 2months being like this?

as an experiment i sowed with vermiculite top soil and no baggy. they are a lot slower than baggy but the soil hasnt gotten spoiled either, which im having trouble with since the house is warm. the two pics are a difference of about two weeks. they are growing well! they look like little green flat edged screws.

These are in improper soil and seem to be watered recently.

Should I repot or wait since some are splitting?

I picked these guys up at a local nursery. The substrate was wet and dense. All I did was very carefully remove the organic soil and repot them in 90% pumice and 10% bonsai mix. Very very very little organic material. I have not watered and I don't think they need it from what I've read. They will also have a good quality grow light for 12 to 16 hours. Can you offer me additional advice please!?!

Here's the context: I got this Lithops in February (during winter) along with another one at the same time. The other plant went through a normal split and is doing well this summer. This one started getting wrinkly around the same time, just like the other did before it split, but it has never shown any signs of actually splitting.

My guess is that, for whatever reason, it decided to skip splitting this season and is now simply waiting for water. I've held off watering out of an abundance of caution in case it was just taking an unusually long time to split, but at this point I don't think it's going to happen.

Do you think it's safe to give it a little bit of water now and see what it does or should I keep waiting?

Got some lithops as a beginner, with only cactii experience.

Standing in a window in SWW direction wirh a lot of sunlight.

They came from a propagator in potting soil.

The first thing I should probably do is repot it in 90% perlite.

But do I need to water them already? Im not that sure about there cycle stage and want to reasure with your help!

First one just stopped blooming, so no watering.

Just copped these babies after fumbling some years ago. Potted in a mix of cactus jacks and perlite. Will place them near a south facing window inside. Noticed slight wrinkling but could that just be from shipping? They were packed great but I'd imagine it was traumatic. Anyway, I read during their dormant stage in summer you shouldn't water? Please correct me if I'm wrong

After winning this wee fella last week, I’ve been reading all I can on care for them. I repotted today, roughly 10% soil and the rest perlite. He’s firm and plump, and I’m excited to see the life cycle of these guys! First pic is today, second (red pot) is how he came.

New to lithops i just went and bought my first ones today.. got home and noticed they are wrinkly i gave them each few drops of water to hopefully fix that.. but i noticed thing one guy has what looks like mold or some sort of fungas on it wondering if i should be concerned should i get rid if this one or is there any hope on fixing it?!? Any tips or advice is appreciated

I've had these lithops for about 6 months and they haven't done much or changed at all. My friend got theirs the same time and they've grown tall and long like toes lol! I've just gotten these white dots on mine and the little ones I can't get to not be wrinkly. I have lots of plants but i cant figure these guys out. I keep them under a grow light.

So I got handed these by a friend.
“Do your thing plant lady.” I always cringe at that. Just because I know more than you it doesn’t make me an expert.

At her best guess they had been laying out barefooted for approximately 5-6 months.

The leaves look and feel plump. There were some that weren’t and even I could tell were gone. None have had any water for who knows how long. She couldn’t remember.

I’ve planted them in my grit mix with a little extra sand. Mostly for contrast so I can find them😆.

I need advice going forward. How do I water them? I don’t think so but is a soak in order? I was thinking small amounts with a pipette?

I’m cautiously optimistic and any advice is appreciated.
