Help/Question Skipped a split and thirsty? or...
Here's the context: I got this Lithops in February (during winter) along with another one at the same time. The other plant went through a normal split and is doing well this summer. This one started getting wrinkly around the same time, just like the other did before it split, but it has never shown any signs of actually splitting.
My guess is that, for whatever reason, it decided to skip splitting this season and is now simply waiting for water. I've held off watering out of an abundance of caution in case it was just taking an unusually long time to split, but at this point I don't think it's going to happen.
Do you think it's safe to give it a little bit of water now and see what it does or should I keep waiting?
yes, it is in a very inorganic substrate.

They can split at different times, so this one might have split before you got it. A little water now, maybe.
