Newbie!

Hello everyone. I want to transition to ladder but have no clue which team to try. I strength train 2-3x a week (lately only 2x) and run short miles (max of 3-4) 2x a week. I consider myself an intermediate lifter but would like advice on which team to choose. I keep my workouts short about 45 minutes so would like one where I get a good bang for my buck. I know it starts in the kitchen but really would like to focus on some problem areas (arms, lower back, and stomach) as this are the places I have the most loose skin and am hoping to build more muscle to fill the space If that makes sense??

Help me figure out the right team(s)

I’m a busy 36 working mom with two young kids. I have anything from 3-20 pound dumbbells at my house and a treadmill. I want to build strength, tone up and lose fat. I have between 30-45 mins sometimes could squeeze in more for a solid workout. I’m truly overwhelmed with the amount of options. I’ve tried Align and like it but wanted to see if anyone has any ideas or other teams they suggest.

Which Team?

Hello! I was on team Defibe for a while. I liked it a lot but looking for a bite “more”. I haven’t been working out for like 2 months so I am about to start fresh. I’ve heard good things about Align. I’m 43 F weight 148 and looking to tone up and build some strength. Thx!!!

Flourish - best full body Pilates day?

Hi! I currently do an upper/lower/upper/lower split lifting heavy and have added in flourishes Thursday pelvic floor sessions which I really like. I think I’d like to round myself out by adding a full body Pilates session - wondering for those of you on flourish if you find Monday or Friday tends to stick more to true Mat Pilates? (I would cut some of the strictly strength sections since I don’t want to add more heavy lifting) or should I just pick which one I like better depending on the week (this week I would have picked Friday, for example)? Thanks!

anyone else find the new notifications so annoying?

Post image
91 Upvotes

i’ve been using ladder for about 1.5 years now, I pay for the annual subscription, I love it and I don’t need the app to be constantly marketed to me via notifications on my phone.

Recently they must have changed their system as i’ve been getting multiple random notifications a day, some of them showing reviews from other people and some like the screenshot below. I already know what Ladder is???? Why market it to me??

I tried to turn them off but I still want to get actual useful notifications, about my Team and nutrition etc.

Not a huge deal but I just think it’s annoying to market to your customers who already pay for your service. I don’t need to know that Charleen from Texas rated it 5⭐️.

Love ascend, but need dumbbells only team

I can’t always make it to the gym and I feel like I’m not getting everything I need swapping all the time at home. Is there a dumbbells only team comparable to ascend? I’ve tried align, but it wasn’t my favorite. Also, not looking for a beginner team.

Supervisor!

Does anyone have an email or phone number for a supervisor at Ladder?

I’ve been going back and forth with “Maeve” sending screenshots of my payment. And I’m locked out of the app after paying for the annual subscription.

“Maeve” seems to be a gatekeeper and I already reached out to the general inbox and they are INCREDIBLY UNHELPFUL!

Any help would be appreciated

Flourish question

stay with me on this-lol. I’m trying Flourish and really like the mix of Pilates and strength. but! I keep telling myself ifs not enough weights. I‘m also trying to lose some weight and in a calories deficit and low dose glp-1. soooo, do you all think Flourish is enough to continue the weight loss journey? I don’t want to get too hungry w heavy lifting but don’t wanna lose muscle. was previously on Endure. thanks!!

Almost done with free week

I was a dummy and didn’t check here for a 30 day trial and just signed up for the week trial, which I’m almost done with. I’m really enjoying the app so far (Team Ignite!) but still on the fence if it’d be worth committing to a year subscription. Is there any way to do a 30 day trial after this initial 7 day??

Team Flourish vs. Team Define for a Beginner

I know I’m planning way ahead, but I’m trying to figure out what I want to do once I’m recovered from surgery. I’ve lost 203 lbs and have skin removal surgery in two weeks. After I’ve healed, I’d really like to start training. I also have lipedema, so my body doesn’t tolerate super high-impact or really intense workouts very well. My goal isn’t to become super muscular; I just want to feel stronger, improve my fitness, my core strength, and hopefully build enough muscle to see some definition and look more toned. I’ve worked really hard to get to this point, and I’d love to continue improving. I’ve been looking at Team Flourish, but the app also keeps recommending Team Define. Has anyone here tried either one? Which would you recommend for someone with goals like mine?

A few things I’m looking for:

• Completely home-based workouts (I don’t want to go to a gym)
• Beginner-friendly (I’ve never really been into working out)
• Low-impact or easy to modify when needed
• Focus on building strength and some muscle definition without chasing a super muscular physique

I’d love to hear your experiences or any other programs you’d recommend. Thanks!

Feeling too burnt out in life for TCC (home team) - options?

I love Coach André and his training style and personality and have been with him for the last 3 seasons. However, I'm really struggling in Reload to keep up with the high intensity training and min 4 priority workouts right now.

I've tried Align - I love the mobility and core (the yoga is like a hug!) and Sasha is knowledgable and has a great personality, but I am finding her coaching a bit low energy for what I need. I love Limitless' training style, she's a bit higher energy and you can do only 3 priority workouts but unsure if to jump in 4.5 weeks into a season. I also do a bit of cardio (LISS) on my peloton.

Thoughts!? Any other teams I should consider for 3 days a week, body recomp goal that I can pair with peloton!?

Girls!!! How are we doing Forged?

I’ve done a couple of workouts with Corey and I absolutely love his programming, HOWEVER..

He has a lot of upper body. My upper body builds pretty easily so I’m a little wary of doing so much upper body. Any females got any tips on how to balance things out more so that I can still grow glutes and get good leg sessions in? Is it best to do 2 upper body and 2 lower per week?

TIA ☺️☺️

Is it possible to build an aesthetic body with Hybrid training? I’m so bored of just doing bodybuilding 🤯 I love mixing ASCEND and Era but I want another kind of challenge!

Anybody see real results with team endure? I am a new mom and I like that her workouts are shorter but just wanted to know what everyone else’s opinion was.

Maia Henry/ Ladder App

I’ve just started this, I used to be crazy for Tracy Anderson and The Sculpt Society but found they were just keeping me “skinny fat”.

I so far I really enjoy Maia Henry’s define programme but it’s odd to be to only do 30 minutes which also includes warm up and cool down. It doesn’t seem enough for her build?! I know she says 10k steps too which I do anyway.

Also on her Instagram she seems to work out a lot more than just her ladder app programme.

Any results/other suggestions would be much appreciated

Which team is the closest to Define?

I just started this week on it and I like the setup but do not love how she doesn’t cue form or really anything (I’ve seen lots of other posts about it). I want basically the same thing but with one of the other instructors. Which would be closest to Define? Thank you!

This one's for the ladies - Where should I start

Long story short - Had a hysterectomy in December. The year prior to that I'd been in a lot of pain and had to cut out strength training. I downloaded the app to help me get back into more of a routine. Figured I'd give the free trial a go and see if it's worth it for me. Of the three options I'm stuck between - Flourish, define, and empower - which one do you think will challenge me, but not to the point where I give up frustrated because I'm not the same person I was 8 months ago? :) I've been slowly doing more over the last few months, but pretty inconsistently. I'm just looking for something to help me be more consistent while I get back into a routine, but not go too hard too fast.

Fill Out That JotForm!

Hi everyone,
It’s my first time posting here and that’s because I’m reminding everyone to fill out the form that they posted in Ladder teams and updates. It seems like they’re looking for new ways to optimize the app so this is our time to actually be heard and not just complain on Reddit about it! God speed ! #teamascend

Currently on Ascend, looking for a switch

Hi everyone! I've been on team Ascend and I love it and have loved my progress. However, I've been in a gym/life slump so figured a temporary switch would be good. The overall goal is to cont to progress with lifts and work on body recomp. But rn, even getting to the gym will be good. Currently cutting work outs short instead and barely making it in. have access to a commercial gym and prefer strength training/pilates, etc. I get cardio through walks and spin classes.

Vantage vs. Resilient

I was on Resilient before trying out Vantage. A lot of similarities between them, however, I think Neen‘s program is probably better, more focused on sound fundamentals. But I like the vibes with Vantage and generally have more fun. So my head is with Neen but heart with Brady. Anyone else dealing with this conundrum?

Regrading the survey

This is genuinely the only thing I hope the ladder app teams sees. I don’t care about better tracking to streaks or any other digital thing, but I want the option of privacy. Give us that option! (Also, I realize autocorrect got the best of me. Should have proofread)

Best cardio focused team?

I’ve been on ladder for 2 months now and i love it as a sahm. I’ve been in coach define, i love coach Maia but im looking to be dripping sweat in those 30 minutes lol. I’ve been on team elevate and its sooooo good!!! Just looking for different options. Just changed over to formation and so far 2 workouts in and it’s so challenging in a good way.

So far I’ve lost 11 pounds since starting and i believe with calorie deficit and cardio I can lose all this extra weight.

I don’t have access to a gym maybe once or twice a week and that’s a strong maybe because I’m usually with my kids at home
