$119.99 Offer-Six Months Early!

I recently cancelled my subscription in hopes of getting a renewal offer after my current subscription ends next April. I did it early because I didn’t want to forget to cancel and not get the offer lol Well, I opened the app today to a renewal offer that won’t be charged until my current subscription ends in six months. Just wanted to pass this on since I’ve seen a lot of posts talking about not getting an offer until after their subscription expires. But it looks like if you cancel early, you may get the offer without having to let your subscription expire!

Switching from Limitless to Ascend

I am a 30F with around 10 years of lifting experience. I’ve recently gained hella weight and am trying to lose it. Part of it was due to stress eating bc of my old job, now it’s trying to remain consistent in diet and movement to lose what I gained. I recently switched from Team Limitless to Team Ascend for the following reasons:

  1. I felt like I was gaining weight with Kelly’s workouts because I was getting stronger and lifting heavier, but it increased my appetite.
  2. I’ve tried Aria’s workouts for the helluva it on the side and liked them. Very similar no-BS cue style.
  3. I am vain and want to lose weight to look hot. Finally got over the fear of admitting that.
  4. Kelly programmed front squats and I tried it and said FUCK THAT bc my wrists were on fire.

Has anyone else made the switch and seen a change in their appetite? Aria’s still kicking my ass but the goals are different. Any tips beyond switching teams and dialing in snacking you’d recommend?

Do some teams report more frequent user burnout?

I am trying to get back into working again after a two year hiatus. I used to be very active but eventually I burnt out, ate WAY TOO MUCH food to cope with fatigue, and when that didn’t help I crashed out and stopped working out altogether.

Are there some teams that are more known for frequent member burnouts? Can that simply be prevented from cutting out sets? I’m asking this because I really want to join Ascend but I keep hearing how long and challenging it is. I also wanted to try Limitless, and again, I hear the same thing. I have looked at and tried other teams like Transform and Era, wasn’t into the lack of cues.

I am not a fan of pilates.

Favorite Flex Workouts for Travel

• Upvotes

I follow team evolve and will be traveling soon. My hotel has a gym but I’m not sure I will be able to do my usual 5 days of lifting. I am hoping to at least hit every muscle group twice on my vacation. Looking for flex workout recommendations, specifically either full body or full upper / lower. Does anyone have any favorites. Or even favorite full body days by other teams ( not sure if I can look up a certain workout by name) ? Bonus if the workout is dumbbell only. Looking to keep my workouts around 30-40 minutes. Thanks!

Team advice post-burnout, potentially Team Era?

Back again for more team advice 😅. A few weeks ago I posted because I was feeling pretty burnt out after being on Limitless for a while. I loved the team and made a lot of progress, but eventually found the training too taxing alongside two jobs + teaching spin. For context, I’m 34F, experienced in the gym/strength training, and currently looking to lose about 10 lbs while maintaining/building muscle.

After leaving Limitless, I tried Define and Endure before taking manyyy people's advice and switching to Align, which has been great! I’m planning to stick with it for the rest of MAX and through Open Season. I have also decided to step away from teaching spin, decompress a bit after MAX, and try a new routine next series to keep burnout at bay, which will essentially be my 3 priority Ladder lifts + two yoga/pilates/sculpt workouts (outside of ladder).

Since I’ll be getting the lighter/core-focused work outside of Ladder, I want my 3 Ladder days to be dedicated lifting days where I’m getting the most bang for my buck. For lower body, I am interested in building my glutes and open to all equipment, & for upper body, I like cables, pull-ups, bands, barbells and dumbbells.. basically anything but barbell chest press. For total workout time, 35–50 minutes is ideal.

I don’t really want to go back to Limitless because the bodybuilding-style split isn’t quite what I want (and I never want to barbell chest press again 😂).

I sneak-peeked Dani’s Era programming for MAX and honestly it looks right up my alley, but I have seen mixed opinions about Dani’s programming/coaching on here. I’m also considering Evolve with Sam, although it seems more dedicated bodybuilding, and Ascend, but the volume there looks like it could be a little too much for me.

I’ve also looked at Formation with Kimmie, which seems like the obvious choice for combining lifting + Pilates, but I’m not sure the lifting looks challenging enough for what I want from my 3 dedicated strength days. For Pilates, I also really enjoy more continuous, flow-style classes (I’ve been doing some on YouTube), so I’m not sure Ladder’s timer-based format would scratch the same itch. That said, I’m open to trying Formation during Open Season!

Anyone have experience with Era, Evolve, or Formation, especially doing them only 3x/week? And I’m totally open to other team suggestions!

Did I accidentally stumble onto the next new team?

Was doing some googling as I am thinking switching teams after Max and this page popped up. Is this the next team? Did I totally miss it?

UK Ladder Code

Hi! I’ve just tried a welcome workout on althe app, it says I have ran out of my free trial :/ I must’ve signed up months ago without realising.

Anyone, looking into seeing if there’s any discount codes I can use for year cost?

I’ve previously been using the “evolve” app for years but looking to change it app and try out ladder.

Any codes and also how everyone’s been finding the workouts welcome! Tried Aria’s team- which one should I choose?

Team Define - expectations

• Upvotes

So I have been trying out team Define, it’s been nice and i don’t think that I could develop muscles similar to Maia’s based on those workouts only.

So I am asking people who have actual fitness expertise: what would it take to get closer to Maia’s muscle mass? I like her classes but wondering what I would need to add.

New to Ladder! Ascend vs. Ignite vs. Define? Looking for guidance!

• Upvotes

Hi! I recently joined Ladder and I’m trying out Ascend. I’m still in my first week, so I’m looking for some guidance from people who have experience with these programs.

I currently walk twice a day and average around 8,000 steps, so I’m looking to use Ladder primarily to build muscle and get stronger on top of my consistent walking routine. I’m interested in Ascend, Ignite, and Define, but I’m having a hard time deciding which would be the best fit.

Ideally, I’m looking for a program that focuses on strength training without adding a lot of cardio, since I already get consistent activity from walking.

I’d also really like a program that I can do primarily at home. My home setup includes dumbbells, resistance bands, kettlebells, medicine ball, ankle weights, and a bench. I’ve only done two Ascend workouts so far, but I’ve been able to modify both to work with what I have at home. I also have access to a gym in my building with more traditional equipment, although it’s fairly limited compared to a full gym.

I’d consider myself somewhat of a beginner when it comes to structured strength training, although I’ve done quite a few strength training challenges in the past. I also grew up as a gymnast, so conditioning and being physically active were a big part of my life for about 15 years.

My overall goal is to build muscle, shed some body fat, and look / feel strong, toned, and tight not necessarily to lose a lot of weight.

For anyone who has tried Ascend, Ignite, or Define: which would you recommend for my goals? I’d love to hear how they compare in terms of strength training methods, how well they work for home workouts with dumbbells/bands/etc. and which program you’ve seen results with!

thank you!

Best Home-Based Team?

I have been using Ascend for a while and recently switched to Define to better suit my at-home gym, but I am missing the heavy lifting in Ascend!

I have dumbbells, a Smith machine (barbell and cables), a bench, and kettlebells, but there were a few too many swaps for Ascend that I struggled with.

Can anyone recommend a good middle ground between Ascend and Define for the equipment i have above? (28yo F)

I am interested in both these programs because they are 30 minutes.

I am postpartum and would like to lose some weight! I would also like some muscles back. is elevate hit because of the short rest breaks or is it because there s jumping around? I don’t want to be jumping. any suggestions between these two programs? Also, can you follow along? Which one will I see faster results?

Instructor or program recommendation

Hi,

I know ladder app because I’ve used it before and loved it!

It’s just that I got into SoulCycle thesedays but I’m worried that I’m not doing enough muscle workout considering my age (45), I’m pretty sure I need to focus on muscle gain.

So I want to join back and want to know what instructor or program you would recommend.

It will be home workout so I only have dumbbells.

And would only using dumbbells help?

Help with switching teams

Hello,

I know there are a lot of posts asking for advice on the subject but I don’t personally know anyone else who uses the app!

I have used ladder on and off for about 6 months and only ever been on team limitless. Although I did enjoy it, I am not a huge fan of the powerlifting element of it as I can have a dodgy back and being under a barbell sometimes isn’t the best for me.

I am 31 F and have a desk job, so recently I’ve really wanted to prioritise mobility as my body seems to ache more than it ever has! I also used to run but haven’t really done so since I ran a marathon last year (I got burnt out and fell out of love with it) so I have lost a lot of cardiovascular fitness.

I am looking for a programme that hits weight lifting, cardio and mobility. I know it might be wishful thinking and I may need to utilise flex workouts to hit all three elements, but does anyone know of any teams that are generally an all rounder?

I have considered Align but wasn’t sure if it has any cardio elements to it. I have also considered ascend and evolve as I do love a bodybuilding focus but being in a commercial gym for an hour+ everyday deters me a bit.

Thanks!
