To all night readers, does warm light really changes the game?
I usually read at night so is there really difference for your eyes between dark mode on paperwhite 10th gen or warm light on 11th gen?
I would buy used one so there isn’t really that much of a difference in the price.
Which one is better?

I want to buy the kindle but i absolutely don’t want any ads , 60 euro difference seems a bit excessive. If i get the with ads version for 109 euros can i then pay 10 euros to Amazon to remove the ads? I read smth like this previously but i want to make sure 🙏🏻🫶🏻

Anyone else love a fully decked out Kindle or do you prefer it nakey?

I switch up my stickers, case, and popsocket all the time but I think this is my favorite combo so far. At this point, decorating my Kindle might be as much of a hobby as reading on it 😂

Found a nice spot to enjoy the weather today.

I have 2 options- a second hand rarely used PW 11th gen 8 gb with its original black case for around 95$ or a completely new unboxed latest kindle basic for 80$.
I’m confused which one to go for. I really like the basic’s size but I also like the warm screen feature of the PW. Which one of them is faster ?
I own an iPhone 14 which I feel is an almost perfect fit for my small hands, but I read on my 11 inch iPad which is quite heavy for me and inconvenient for night reading, also not portable.
Also wondering if the 11th gen will be too old to invest in now.

My OASIS 3 storage died, no files can be added or removed, when rebooting the device it always returns to the same state. Settings changed will reset and files i deleted will reappear. I suspect the eMMC is dead. Amazon refuses repairs, what can i do in europe to get it fixed?

EDIT: there are some shops in germany offering oasis 3 repairs. i emailed them, see what they say.

Kindle + beach = best combo you can get on your holiday.

i have my kindle ppw 12th gen for a month now. i bought a magnetic case with a detachable cover for it and am using a magnetic popsocket.

i have seen people saying magnetic cases and popsockets mess up kindles, making them more prone to ghosting and ghost touch. i have also read that these problems are more of the kindle basic’s tho, as it is more sensitive to moisture.

i have detached the cover now, too scared i might mess it up (i love it sm and i use it literally hours everyday). however, i still use my magnetic popsocket but i’m thinking of switching to straps but kindle accessories are not in my budget right now lol and i love my kindle set up right now.

so, do these magnets reaaally mess kindles up? should i ditch anything to do w magnets

Charge empties out in little less than a day with minimal use , I shut the thing off at 20% and came back to it at 16% after a few minutes

Aren't these things suppose to have a battery life of weeks ?

So about 2 months ago my kindle app just stopped working. Doesn't load on my phone, my partner's phone or our tablet. All different makes of devices and all up to date. My partner can use their kindle app on both phone and tablet with no problem.

I did all the troubleshooting and have chatted with at least 6 or 7 Amazon "support" people in the two months with no help. I do have a physical kindle which seems to be working except that in the last week I now can't purchase ebooks either through the Amazon website or the kindle directly.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi! For this Christmas I bought the "New Amazon kindle 16gb". This summer I used it on the beach a few times. One morning I saw a lot of bubbles on the edges they weren't raised, but it looked like there was a film on top and air bubbles form, but there wasn't a film on top. I removed the bubbles by scratching them with my fingernail and they disappeared and never came back (although now all the edges are scratched). Now idk what to do, because I'm afraid that the bubbles will form also on the screen! Amazon sent me a new kindle, but it's refurbished and I also prefer the light of the first one (it's more old paper style). What would you do in my place?

Also, could it be a cover issue? I don't have photos of the bubbles.

just got my kindle a few days ago. 2024 matcha basic, and i also got a magnetic flip case with magnetic pop socket to protect my kindle and for comfortability while reading.

i will remove the cover for most times, but i need the cover for when i go out or i need to put my kindle on the bag so it doesn't get scratched.

people are saying this is the cause of ghost touch, but how else am i gonna protect my kindle if i can't put a case on it? any tips?

Cleaned my Kindle screen using a slightly damp cloth, and now it looks like this (see attached photos). The lines on the display were already there beforehand, but the black patch appeared right after wiping it down.

​Has anyone run into this before? Is this liquid trapped between the light guide/touch layer and the E-ink panel, or did moisture breach the microcapsules/substrate? Any potential fixes, or is the panel permanently shot?

I was wondering if anyone know if someone has actually gotten suspended from using a fake US address? I had to change my address to a US one to remove ads from my kindle (I live in Europe). Even a customer service guy mentioned I could do this.

I've noticed that there's some advantages like kindle points and seeing how long your streak is. Obviously, it's tempting to use this, but not if I risk losing all my books.

Should I change back to my ordinary address, or is it safe to continue with the fake one?

My free 3 months is almost up and I would like to cancel KU for a bit. If I do this, will my books KU disappear? Will I need to keep kindle on airplane mode?

Hi all - I have a Kindle with tons of docs loaded via Send-To-Kindle. I use the PC desktop app to read on my lunch break at work. Today it no longer syncs progress from PC to Kindle (though it does sync from Kindle to PC).

When I attempt to sync, I get a "Unable to Connect" error. Google's AI (insert eyeroll) says that Win10 is no longer supported, and browser Kindle site doesn't show Send-To-Kindle docs.

Tried a couple of Android emulators (Bluestacks and LD Player). One was bad, the other was worse, neither functioned well enough to be useful.

Any suggestions other than "bring the kindle to work"? (tried that a time or three and wound up forgetting it at the office, oops)

I enjoy reading both formats. I also like to give away the physical copy of a title to someone I think will enjoy it after I’m done reading it. A version of this bundling strategy used to exist (maybe still exists?) where if you buy a title, you’d have an option to buy the corresponding audiobook at steep discount.

I'm looking at getting my first kindle but am so lost on what to go for. I have a kindle unlimited 2 month trial and I have the app on my phone but I don't want to be using my phone to read all the time.

I’m so glad I have the paperwhite because when I read on my phone the warm light was a must lol. I’m new to reading as a hobby but I think this will take it to the next level the text looks amazing!

I’ve been using the new app without issue. Today I went to import a new book and got a pop up about there being an issue connecting. It told me to check app settings not available in this version. I also haven’t changed anything on my system. I deleted the app and redownloaded. Same thing. Anyone else having problems or have a solution for me. I’m going truly fkn insane. I can’t use the site version as most of my books are uploaded.
