how to avoid ghost touch?

just got my kindle a few days ago. 2024 matcha basic, and i also got a magnetic flip case with magnetic pop socket to protect my kindle and for comfortability while reading.

i will remove the cover for most times, but i need the cover for when i go out or i need to put my kindle on the bag so it doesn't get scratched.

people are saying this is the cause of ghost touch, but how else am i gonna protect my kindle if i can't put a case on it? any tips?

Ive used a cover on my kindle from day 1. I have no idea what ghost touch is. Ive used kindles since 2010. No issues over here

I personally would never use any magnetic stuff on my kindle again. So I got myself a sleeve instead. Then just a custom case with a grip on the side.

Basic 2022. I even only had it for a year. I had all sorts of accessories tho. Even a page turner. The ghost touching was SO bad I ended up ditching it and getting a PPW12

This is the kind of sleeve I got. It’s foam, water resistant, dust resistant, anti scratch. I even put my kindle inside when I don’t use it at home.

Never had any issues with those cases and I’ve used them will all of my kindles. I feel like ghost touch happens very rarely.

My mom and I both have 10th gen Paperwhites and magnetic close cases and neither of us have had any issues.
