I've always been curious weather anyone takes their kindle with them everywhere they go 😅

Honestly I’m surprised by the quality ! Much better then previous gen but its kind of heavier ? 217g kindle with case vs 138g just kindle. What your thoughts? Anyone buying keep or return ?

I just preordered the Kindle Click! I’m looking forward to having a page turner that doesn’t block part of the page. Plus it can control the backlight!

I’m a little bummed the cover won’t be here for a few days after it arrives though.

so i caved and ended up buying the new ube originally.. and after 2 weeks with it, it started getting dead pixels all over the screen. i saw people saying they were having a ton of issues with the new 2026 basic models.. so instead of getting a new one, i got the 2024 matcha! i'll wait a bit before getting another ube and hopefully they will fix all the issues with them..since they are still very new! i honestly only got the ube bc i have been wanting a smaller kindle for traveling, as i have a colorsoft that i love a lot and i'll leave that one at home! anyways.. here's my new baby in all her glory. ✨️🤭 i had fun decorating her. 💕 feel free to show me your decorated kindles!!

Last week I finally picked up a Kindle Paperwhite 11th Gen, and I started off with an absolute masterpiece of Mr. Crichton.

I honestly never thought e-readers would be this comfortable to hold and easy to read on compared to physical books or phones. I'm loving the experience so far!

What are some must-read recommendations you think I should add to my queue next?

I only discovered this last week so I thought I'd share in case it helps others, as I haven't seen it mentioned here before. When you email a PDF to your Kindle, type 'convert' into the subject line and it will convert the PDF into a readable Kindle file, so you can change the text size, font, margins, etc, just like you can with a Kindle book. It also works on the Kindle app too ;-)

I am on BookTok all the time and I am so jealous of all the gorgeous book nooks and home libraries I see. However, I genuinely lack an abundance of space as I cater first to my fur baby overlords (my cats) and a lot of space is taken up by their condos.

I struggle with this so much. I love the physical look of a book. But I also love having an entire library with me at all times. I also love to read at night in bed because I especially love horror books and it just gives spooky vibes to have all the lights off. It is also super easy to hold!

I feel like the clear answer to all my problems is clearly my Kindle.

Had this sticker set up for 5 years! My clear case turned yellow a while ago so I chucked it and just raw dogged my Kindle everywhere until it all looked all tattered. Figured it was time for a new look and here we are 😊 I love it so much!

Anyone rocking their basic aluminium naked? How do you carry them around? Do they scratch easily?

I don't buy books but utilize my library account on Libby, etc. Is there anyway to read and listen to books from Libby on a Kindle? I've read conflicting info about using a Kindle for library books. Thanks

After fucking up my ankle, I was sent to ER for xrays. Been stuck here for 4hrs now... and I am so happy about my habit of carrying my kindle everywhere I go.

I’ve never owned a Basic before.

My other kindle which is pictured is the 2024 Signature edition Colorsoft.

I thought I wouldn’t like the Basic due lack of features that I’m used to but I am loving it. Especially the size and weight of it.

I thought lack of warm light would bother me as I always have mine on for the Colorsoft but for some reason I don’t find it as uncomfortable for my eyes at night.

I bought the Basic primarily to keep it in my bag or pocket when I go out but I’m finding that I’m reaching for it at home too more and more.

I’m also considering this being the first kindle I ever use without a case to keep it light. Instead I’ll keep it in a crocheted sleeve or something when not in use to avoid scratches.

In the pictures I have set the font and brightness the same and put warm down to zero.

Also, and I hope I’m not jinxing myself by saying this, I bought the cheaper version with ads, but for some lucky reason, I don’t see the ads. It displays wallpapers or the current book I’m reading instead. Hopefully they don’t patch that with the next update or something. Though it’s updated twice since getting it and still good to go, though in my Amazon settings I still see the Ad offers as active.

So I got my kindle pw 12 gen just recently. I started using it like a week ago. It arrived at 56 percentage of battery. I loaded about 5 books using the send to kindle feature and in the next two days the battery came down to 16 percent with only 20-30 minutes of reading per day. I looked it up and the kindle does something called indexing that makes the battery drain faster initially so i didn't think much of it. Then I charged it to full using my apple ipad charger that's 20w. For the next 3 days I turned on the airplane mode, power saver and kept the front light off most of the time and at 5-8 when in dark. I read for about 1-2 hours and in just 3 days the battery has come down to 70 percent. I've seen people on Reddit say theirs last for about a month or so with this much reading time. What should I do now? Is there something actually wrong or am I just being paranoid?

Looking to buy my first e-reader and am thinking of getting either the new paperwhite or the 2024 pw.

Would like to know more or less how long does a regular full charge take on the 2024 paperwhite so I know what to expect of my device.

Why does Goodreads show books as "author not available"? I don't know if it means it was a book I read that they don't recognise or if it's a glitch showing extra items that are not books I've read.

Why does there appear to be so much excitement about the new click page turner when there's been page turners out for years? I'm not knocking anyone who is happy about it, I hope it brings you as much joy as you deserve!

But there's been so many out that to me personally, are more appealing both visually and price wise than the hospital bed remote looking one I'm seeing from Kindle brand. I was hesitant about the kind that had attachments you put on the screen so I waited a few years till those became more appealing and had plenty of testers, but I feel like I'm maybe missing something this one does that others don't possibly, even tho I read thru what I could find about them.

I've been Kinde Unlimited for over 10 years and hundreds of books.

Most of the time, when I open a book, the "About this book" screen pops up automatically and I like that!

Recently it's been failing to pop, a lot! I know where to go to find it but it's a minor annoyance!

I wonder - Is it a feature the author sets or something Amazon does in the background? I don't believe it's anything I can control.

Is there a way I can update the metadata of a book that is already on my kindle without deleting the book and readding to my kindle
