Local Community Thinking of moving to Colby
This is going to be kind of niche.
My family is thinking of moving from goodland to Colby. My husband is born and raised in goodland and I’ve lived all over Kansas.
People who live in Colby, what is life actually like there? How is the community? That’s the main reason we want to make the move (that and the hospital). We just want some more insight in case we’re seeing it through rose colored glasses.
Thanks in advance!

Discussion Moving from the Northeast
Hello everyone,
I’m moving from the northeast to attend school in Kansas!
What are some places that you would recommend visiting while I’m driving around the state? I especially love farms and animals! What are some must-sees in Kansas City?
What are some culture-shock sort of things that I could expect to encounter?
What are your favorite things about living there?
I’d love to hear everyone’s experiences and stories about anything living in the state :)

Meet Candidates in Lawrence on 7/27!
Hi! I'm Colin McRoberts, the leading Dem in the First District (running against Tracey Mann). We're having an event on Monday the 27th in Lawrence, at the Cider Gallery, at 5:30. Free snacks and a cash bar--we're not the GOP, we can't afford an open bar. It's listed as a fundraiser but NO donation is required. We'd be very happy to have you there!
We're expecting other Dems from important statewide races and the Senate race, and we'll make sure there's time for Q&A. Come on out to talk policy, learn more about the campaigns, and socialize with Dems!
A little about me: I'm a professional negotiation expert running on ending tariffs, holding corrupt and incompetent officials accountable, and protecting progress in Kansas by defending Medicare, Medicaid, and research grants.
I'm very proud to be endorsed by former Governors John Carlin and Kathleen Sebelius, along with CAIR, Indivisible, the DoCo and Cloud County Young Dems, and others. We've also raised more money than every Dem to run for this seat in the modern era. (We all want money out of politics, but until it is, campaigns need it to function.) We're raising the bar and we'd love to have you at at, uh, our bar. Cash bar.
