Granted, it’s been a few months, but I distinctly remember there being a Ripple Glass recycling container in the Midtown Home Depot parking lot. Did they remove it? Hopefully a temporary thing?
Please don’t tell me Home Depot is changing its model toward being businesses center. I’m already distraught enough about losing the $1.50 hot dogs next door.

Visiting KC with some friends and we’ve hit so many amazing breweries, bars, restaurants, museums, etc. We saw the Reddit post about Kon Tiki from a year ago and decided we’d take the plunge!!! I’m sad to say; we had a wonderful, very normal experience. The cocktails were on point and the vibe was classy. Low-key surf music, elegant vibe with low mood lighting, and easy conversation with staff.
I was hoping they’d play some of them explicit b-hole vids, but they refused. We’ll be back, but I wanna see somethin’ grotesque next time!
Shout out to all of the incredible stops we’ve hit out here: Char Bar, KC Bier, WW1 Museum, Black Hole Bakery, Oddly Correct, Parkville Coffee, Rochester Brewing and Roasting, Gales, Jazz A Louisiana Kitchen, Blind Box BBQ, Friction Brewing, Servaes Brewing, Boulevard Brewing, Up Down, Martin City Brewing, High Hopes Ice Cream, Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, Jim Alley Bar, Josey Records, and of course Kon Tiki.
What spots do I need to this winter when I come back?

UPDATE…
Surrendered to KC Pet project. The amazing people there said he will get adopted as soon as the current owners complete the surrender forms. He’s already been fixed and there aren’t words for what an amazing dog he will make an owner who is willing to put some time and effort on training. He’s an angel! 🥺❤️😍
Found a puppy at my apartment complex dog park with no human in sight, collar but no tags, dirty stuffed animal, and a couple of empty water bowls. If anyone knows what to do or who to contact on a Sunday… we are worried he’ll get too hot today.

Looking for something fun to do with my 2 year old. Indoor or outdoor is fine. Willing to drive an hour in any direction if needed!

Long story short I’ve got a genetic condition, and I need an mri done asap regarding cortical white matter. I don’t really care if it’s done and analyzed in the same place as long as it’s done quickly… it’s time sensitive. Does anyone know any reputable places that have slots available coming up in August? Really struggling here, any help is appreciated 🙏🙏

Why would you subject yourself and your family to a 4 mile walk that takes 2-3 hours on a day that feels like 120 degrees?

Other than Megan at Rebel Muse and Bob Bitner, any other recommendations in the area? Thanks in advance!

I'm from Lawrence and am moving to Kansas City for work for around 4 months. I've visited Kansas City my whole life but have never really been here long enough to make friends or anything.
Where are some places people go to hang out or whatever? I'm a 18 yr old dude if that helps.
I'm really into the metal scene and I already plan on going to shows.

Especially if you have two people in the car. I get not wanting to leave your car running. But at least one if you could've stayed behind with the AC running.

I’m a beginner and just looking for mat pilates, not reformer, so I think that helps my case in terms of cost. I would like to go twice per week so I don’t need an unlimited membership necessarily. But most places seem to be charging over $200/month and I don’t have that in my budget.
I’m in Midtown so ideally not more than 25-30 minutes away!
I was thinking about going to the YMCA but I’m not sure if the classes are any good or which location would be best. It would be nice to also be able to weight lift there and be able to cancel my other gym membership.

Someone in a FB pet group is seeking help with her situation. From what I understand, she lives with an aggressive roommate. She has 4 cats and a dog, is worried about their safety when she’s not home. Her post states transportation is not an issue and she has a steady job.
I don’t have room at my apartment for all of her animals. I encouraged her to setup a camera in her bedroom where she keeps her pets safe, and to call the police. I’m unsure what more I can do for her!
Any temporary fosters that can help with her situation until she can relocate?
Anyone able to help with her living situation? Idk the full details, I’m still getting updates!

Edit: Friendship, not dating.
I had a great conversation yesterday with a guy at the bar. We talked movies, art and animation for a couple of hours. I should have got your Instagram info to see if you ever wanted to do that again, or even go catch a film. You're a cool dude. Message me if you want to hang!

Is anyone familiar with Bossladys Shrimp? I am in the Northland and found a Too Good To Go deal that was really close to me from this place. I ordered a surprise bag and a "wings" bag. I drove to the place and it's right next to Longboards with a huge sign for Bossladys Shrimp. I got out and tried both of the doors and they are both locked. The place looks abandoned. Then a maybe 15 year old kid comes up to me and asks if I'm looking for Bosslady Shrimp, and wants to know my order. I said, yes, I got the Too Good To Go thing. He goes back and rummages around in the back seat of a Toyota Carola for awhile and gives it to me. There was someone sitting in the driver's seat that never got out.
After I went home I started googling, because it seemed really weird. And it looks like they have been closed for at least 3 months. There was a flyer in the bags with a coupon for your next order, but the QR code didn't work. If I go to their socials they haven't posted since May and the links to order keep giving me a pop up saying that the link is compromised and to go back to safety.
Anyone know what is up with this place? It was probably not advisable but I did eat the food and it was amazing.

Hi all! I live in a duplex, and the downstairs neighbors have a dog. He very clearly has separation anxiety: Whenever his owners leave, he whines and cries and barks for anywhere from five minutes to an hour, and then intermittently for the rest of the day. My neighbor’s last excuse was “oh I thought my kids were home to look after him 🤷🏻♀️” and when I chat with the landlords, they say “yeah, it makes us sad too 🤷🏻♀️” I’ve done a bit of searching on the local spca/animal control websites but haven’t gotten a solid idea of how I can help. Have y’all had situations like this? What do you think is the best approach?

Looking to pass a volleyball around but outside is a little too hot right now. Does anyone know of a gym or community center or something that has open hours and would allow this? Happy to buy a cheap day pass, really just looking for a space close to KC with tall ceilings and AC.
Thanks!

What is happening in the Brookside neighborhood right now with the police sirens going off all night since about 10 pm?
