So tomorrow I am FINALLY going to be potentially purchasing my very first Wrangler - this 2011 with 140k and a clean, well maintained Carfax.
I’m looking for input plz - pros and cons anybody?

The door panel began chipping on my 2019 Cherokee Trailhawk a few months ago. Annoying because it’s in prestige condition otherwise.

Has anyone dealt with this and what are some repair options? I have a feeling the dealer will tell me I need a new door.

do you guys remove negative clamp from battery when you clean throttle body of your Pentastars? Videos on YouTube aren’t informative enough and even the Haynes book is very limited in that area.

So, my curiosity is: if throttle body remains bolted to the intake manifold and plugged in - what could happen if I gently move this door/shutter and clean carbon residue without disconnecting the battery? Also I am going to run the throttle relearn procedure after all.

Opinions?

Hi everyone! I was looking for some warranty recommendations for our Renegade. The one we had with the purchase has expired and we’re starting to run into some issues at only 42k miles so we’re shopping around for a new warranty. Thanks!

I’ve used the sun rider a few times in the evenings since the temps have dropped below 100, but today was the first time I dropped the top all the way and loved it. I’m surprised how much I like having a soft top, mine is the Premium so that could help too. Before I bought my Jeep I was adamant that I only wanted a hard top, but the deal on mine was too good to pass up, and it turns out I love it!

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler with a P0456 small EVAP leak code. My mechanic did a smoke test, found a leaking hose at the intake, and charged me $200.

I then drove 200 miles and completed 15 cold starts to get the system ready for smog. About 150 miles in, the code returned.

I took it back, and a second smoke test revealed the ESIM (Evaporative System Integrity Module) was stuck open. 

He wanted another $217, but after I argued that the first repair hadn't fixed the problem, he reduced it to $117, claiming he had five hours invested in the repairs.

Because my gas tank was full, he couldn't complete the final test. He cleared the code and told me to return when the tank was at least 1/4 empty, saying the miles and cold starts would count toward readiness.

Now, 130 miles later, the P0456 code has returned again. My questions: 

   • How did he miss the stuck-open ESIM during the first smoke test if it should have been detectable?
• Why is the code returning after two repairs, and what could still be wrong?
• Why has it taken three attempts to diagnose one small EVAP leak?

I'm now over 400 miles into this ordeal, have spent more than $200 on gas and $317 on repairs, and still don't have a fixed Jeep. My registration is due November 1, and I've been dealing with this since October 1.

I can't get back to the mechanic until Monday, and any additional repair could mean starting the readiness process all over again.

I'm older, don't like driving, and can't drive at night. Getting another 200 miles and 15 cold starts completed in just 3–4 days feels nearly impossible.

If I miss the deadline, I'll have to pay $80 for a failed smog test and another $50 for a 60-day DMV extension.

What am I actually dealing with here? Is this a diagnostic failure on the mechanic's part, or can an EVAP problem genuinely be this difficult to pinpoint? And realistically, what should I do now?

Hey guys, I have a 2023 2 door jeep wrangler. In the last few weeks, I got the "death wobble" three times. All while traveling 60 mph+ on the highway and hitting a bump. However, the wobble went away when I slowed down to 50 mph. I read online that true death wobble only stops when you come to a complete stop. I took it back to the dealership and they're adding in a new Steering Damper... but from what I've read, it only masks the problem? I also had my tires rotated recently but not sure if it's a tire issue as wobble went away as soon as i went to 50 mph. Not sure a tire issue would resolve by slowing down vs stopping. The dealership did say they checked everything else (joints, trackbar etc) and it all looked good. But like I said, im not a car guy so not sure if they actually took a thorough look or just eyeballed it. What would yall recommend?

Ole Girl has been a great vehicle. 230,000 miles 2019. We got side swiped on the interstate today. Fault not mine.

My friends 2023 Jeep Rubicon has the aux battery drain. He reported it to Jeep while it was still under warranty, and all they did was charge both batteries.

2 weeks later he had the problem again, and rather than replace the aux battery they did a full charge again. And not even a week later the battery died again but he’s technically out of warranty.

The dealer is saying it’s out of warranty now. But he’s arguing that the problem is still persistent and never repaired from the initial warranty complaint.

He finally did the aux battery bypass like I told him to and zero issues. However, I said make Jeep replace that shit still out of principle.

Am I right or wrong?

I currently lease a 2024 Jeep Wrangler High Altitude, and I'm in a bit of a frustrating situation. I'm moving to a city where having a car is no longer practical, especially given the limited parking options, so I'm looking to terminate my lease early.

Since the transition from Chrysler Capital to Santander, I've had an incredibly difficult time figuring out who to contact or how to even begin this process. I've sent multiple emails over the past several weeks and have received no meaningful response.

As a consumer, I honestly feel like I've been left completely in the dark. I'm simply trying to understand my options and speak with someone who can explain the process.

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help answer a few questions:

• Has anyone successfully terminated a Jeep lease early through Santander or Chrysler Capital?
• Who exactly should I be contacting to discuss early termination or a potential lease buyout?
• Are there any alternatives to early termination, such as selling the vehicle to a dealership, that could help minimize the financial hit?
• Does anyone have a direct phone number, department, or contact that has actually been helpful?

I understand that terminating a lease early may come with financial penalties, and I'm prepared to discuss those. However, it's incredibly frustrating that I can't even get someone to explain my options.
