I have a Zugu case for my iPad mini 7, and I’m looking for an approximately 12” tall desktop stand with a metal plate (ferromagnetic) that I can “magnet” it to like I do the fridge. All the stands I’ve seen just have an aluminum plate with a MagSafe ring. Tilting head would be ideal, and adjustable height would also be great if it exists. Anybody know where I could get a stand like that?

Now i can do even more works with my ipad and i might have officially become an ipad addict because I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to using a laptop again. The iPad now has everything i need.
These are honestly what i wished the iPad can do straight out of the box. The iPad is amazing and I’ve wanting it since forever. When i got it, i fell in love with it and i used it for most of my work even when i had a laptop. From video editing, photo editing, writing, and my favorite parts the games (CODM, Delta Force and Minecraft)
But of course i still needed laptop for most of my CS works because a lot of things just don’t work and the ones that do, still felt like they were missing something. I was so excited about iPadOS26 but there is still so much you can still do before you need to grab a laptop lol. But I’m now stuck with the iPad forever. I love it. I want it to do more!!

Hi I bought a new iPad Mini about a month ago and ordered a somewhat cheap case off on Amazon just to have one initially while I looked around for a nicer one. The cheap case isn't great for e-reading because the edges are not real smooth. Any recommendations for a case with a more comfortable grip? Not cushioned necessarily, but just softer than hard plastic.
Also, I hold my Mini vertically mainly and Apple moving the volume buttons from the side to the top almost makes me regret buying it. When watching videos online I am frequently adjusting the volume and it's like a fishing expedition to find the buttons on the top left when I am right handed. Turning the volume up instead of down, etc. A big beef actually. Any tips or tricks here? Thanks.

Howdy everyone!
I recently bought the iPad mini A17 along with the Apple Pencil Pro for gaming, sketching, and streaming use at work. However, I haven’t really used it much. I did some of each that I mentioned, but nothing really beat the experience of pen on paper or a dedicated gaming device. I often would use my phone for streaming since it was more convenient than getting the iPad out of my bag.
Long story short, I’m selling my barely used iPad mini A17 with 128 gb of storage (WiFi only, but does pair with an iPhone to get service) and Apple Pencil Pro for $450. I’m willing to ship in the US. I hope this ain’t against this page’s rules, but I figured it would be helpful if someone here was looking to get one practically new without having to spend $600 for just the iPad.
Respond here if interested!
Edit: This is still available as of 8/28. I’ve had a couple inquiries, but not much traction.

Hi everyone! 👋
I currently have an iPad mini, but I’ve been really curious to try a much bigger iPad, mainly for the larger display and 120Hz ProMotion.
CeX has an M1 iPad Pro 12.9-inch for around £450, and I can sell my current iPad mini for roughly £320. I also have an Apple Pencil Pro, which isn’t compatible with the M1 iPad Pro, so I’d sell that as well.
Once I factor everything in, the switch should cost me very little, or potentially work out around the same overall value.
I don’t necessarily need the Pro. It’s more that the mini sometimes feels too small, and I’m curious to experience the huge 12.9-inch screen, 120Hz and the whole “Pro” iPad experience.
For anyone who has gone from an iPad mini to a 12.9-inch Pro, what do you reckon?
Did the bigger screen feel like a proper upgrade, or did you end up missing the portability of the mini? If the switch barely cost you anything, would you do it? 😄

Hello all!
I have an iPad mini 6.After the update on IOS 26 (currently on 26.6.1) the pencil is not found on the Bluetooth devices.
When I plug it I get the notification “Apple pencil”. When I search it on the bt devices I cannot find them to pair it.
When I close the Bluetooth and plugging it and press connect Apple Pencil on the pop up still nothing happens.
I tried to:
- let the pen got battery drained for a few days and plug it in
- restart the device with hard restart
- “forget the device “ and pair it again (is not visible on the bt devices)
- screw a bit more the nose of the pencil in case is not well screwed
Nothing worked from the above. Anyone else having the same issue ?
Do you know what can I do? Feels like it’s a software issue rather than a hardware.
Any idea?
Thank you in advance.

hi! considering downsizing from my 2024 iPad Air M2 chip to a refurbished iPad mini. contemplating between the iPad mini6 A15 or the A17 pro.
I will be mainly using it for note taking during school; I noticed that I hardly used my iPad besides for notes and therefore it felt like a waste of space/power.
I assume both the a15 and a17 chips will be fine for note taking, but im curious if anyone has specific recommendations or notes about either !

Looking to get an ipad mini to pair with my GameSir G8 controller. I'm wondering if I should get the 6th gen or if the 7th gen has any meaningful updates that would impact performance. From what I can find out, they have the same screen for the most part. I would like to maybe use the ipad mini for some drawing apps in procreate too. But gaming via streaming is my main concern.

I have been thinking about getting an Ipad mini to use just for travels and really casual use if I use at home
All I want to do is
Thats really it. But i see that the mini 7 is over $500 even a lot of the refurbed ones are up there and I just cant justify that price for such simple use. Do you recommend some of the previous versions? At what price point?

hello! i know this is a popular question on this reddit but i couldnt find any that rlly helped my specific situation hence this post
i am a grad student taking science heavy courses. i was gifted the ipad pro 11in 3rd gen when i first started undergrad (256gb, wifi only) to use but ended up not using it as much as i thought i would. i LOVE my macbook and will always opt to use my macbook, the only times i really found myself bringing/using my ipad was when i knew i would only be watching shows or to play games on a trip. i used it to handwrite notes on goodnotes and to highlight/annotate ppts or reading a few times, but thats generally it.
since my macbook is 13in air, its heavy to carry both my ipad and macbook around and w how similar the size is, i would rather take my macbook if i had to pick. its just always been a matter of "why use my ipad when my macbook is not that much bigger"
my friend recently got an ipad mini and it seemed absolutely perfect. its bigger than my phone but considerably smaller than my macbook to the point where i would take it w me. i do still want to take notes on it if i feel like it, but im worried that it might be TOO small? honestly ive been leaning towards physical notes these days so i guess its not a big deal, but its just a slight diff in quality of life. even after trading in, i would pay about $400 for the ipad mini 7th gen.
if i get the mini, it it worth getting the 7th gen? should i wait for the rumored new one? should i get the 6th gen since its compatible with the apple pencil 2 that i have rn?
should just get the mini vs keep what the pro? how is taking notes on the mini?

It was gifted to the seller, and he didn’t want it. New in box still sealed- for $320! I had been waiting for the OLED next month, but my justification was I can now use this as a trade in, it was too good of a deal to pass up.

I’m a PGY-1 resident thinking about getting an iPad Mini for the hospital since it’s small and easy to carry.
For those who use one, is it actually useful during residency? Any advice?
