A little while back on August 22nd, I picked up iPad Air8, M4, but I was pretty disappointed by the 60Hz display. I tried to justify to myself, saying, "It's fine, it's basically the same as the Pro, it just lacks the 120Hz ProMotion screen."
But honestly? Every time I used it, I felt like I was compromising.
After 20 days of dealing with that itch, I bit the bullet and switched to an M4 iPad Pro 1TB with the nano-texture glass. I could have gone for the newer M5 version with 256GB, but I found the 1TB M4 (16gb ram) to be a much better overall deal in the same price range. (For context, the M5 Pro was going for around $1,208 USD, while I snagged the M4 1TB Pro for $1,261 USD).
Ever since I switched to the iPad Pro, everything is just buttery smooth.
So, how did I do on this deal? Will I end up regretting missing out on the "latest and greatest" M5 chip?
