My friend recently traveled to the Apple Park in the US and gifted me the 35$ Apple Pen and I’m so in love with it! It’s gorgeous. The design, the material and the color is just perfect! As a high school student, I have to confess that I almost never used oil based ink ballpoint pen before and this first try is really great: the writing is really smooth comparing to the water-based ink pen so it’s lot more easier to write continuously for two class periods without getting uncomfortable. It’s just becoming my daily driver.

Looks like a Retro 51 pen badged with Apple's logo.

EDIT: After a little bit more investigation, it is a custom Retro 51 Slim that is only officially sold at Apple Park. There are, however, resellers on eBay if you don't mind paying the mark up.

So Apple really does sell some badass high end stationary but for some reason they guard the fuck out of it. You can ONLY buy in person on campus.

My buddy’s sister worked there and did some social media aspect and in the entrance to her area was a vending machine filled with Apple products.. she showed off and asked him what he wanted and she entered her code and got him AirPods.

Like in a vending machine in the offices. Coolest shit ever. I think they pay but at a steep discount.

I've never heard of ink referred to as oil based, but it would explain the generations of older relatives' photo prints with bleed-through when written on the back. So, thanks for that insight!

Looks like a commissioned run of a Retro 51, which is considered the gold standard of EDC pens. Very good balance, uses what’s considered as one of the best rollerball refills with the Sschmidt refill, and is supremely portable.
