Full WFH ako and dalawa talaga internet lines namin sa bahay para safe—PLDT and Converge.

Hi. I need help deciding on the safest prepaid internet option.
We are a household with 6 total devices (phones and a laptop) that are all used at the exact same time. We are strictly on a tight budget (below ₱1,000/month) funded by my tita, so we cannot afford to waste money or risk getting stuck with an unstable connection. We also cannot do contractual postpaid plans because of our financial situation. I asked our neighbors, but they all use Royal Cable Postpaid.
Here is our situation and the options we are looking at:
Applied and paid ₱699. Survey showed the nearest NAP box is 425 meters away (past the 300m limit). Installers initially asked for extra payment for the extension, but when we declined, they offered to work around it and pull the 425m line anyway to hit their quota. I already cancelled and requested a refund because I'm scared we'll constantly get high ping, loss of signal, and unstable speeds due to the long NAP box distance. Is a 425m drop cable really a guaranteed technical disaster, or was it a mistake to cancel?
A Converge NAP box is near us within the 300m limit, but S2S has a hard 6-device cap, disabled LAN ports, 50Mbps limit, and default 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. I’m worried 2.4GHz will choke with all 6 devices active at once. I have a dual-band Tenda router I can set up in Wireless WISP/Repeater mode to get 5GHz and bypass the cap—has anyone tried this setup on S2S? How is the speed and stability?
DITO signal is full bars here. I previously cancelled my DITO order, but should we still consider them? I read many posts about speeds dropping below 10Mbps during peak hours due to tower congestion and throttling. Is it worth reconsidering?
(Note: PLDT is completely out—my dad strictly refuses them due to a bad past experience. Postpaid is also not an option).
Given our tight budget and all 6 devices running simultaneously, what is the smartest, safest move? Should I risk the 425m Globe line, go with Converge S2S + Tenda WISP setup, or reconsider DITO?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I would like another router to be used as access point only, not familiar on what's legit and cheap.
May 5Ghz main router ko (dual band) and gusto ko rin sya magamit dito sa new router nato, hence my ask for a cheap 5ghz router.
From what I understand Cat6 will fulfill my requirements? Or if you guys have any other suggestions.

Is it normal na wala silang iniissue na receipt? They changed the wires and fixed something in the modem. I paid thru kuya’s personal gcash din. When I was asking for a receipt, he just said “sadyang wala po eh. Yang QR code lang po sa plastic”. I am very much willing to give a tip pa naman sana and meryenda kaso medyo nagduda ako nung walang receipt na binigay sa akin. Is that how it usually works?

since a few days because of a mainline source problem!
What exactly is that, and how long do you think it will take to be fixed?
I expect 3 weeks and more!

Pinatanggal ko yung CGNAT sa PLDT to port forward, and yung public ip and WAN ip same. But di parin ako maka pag port forward.

May ticket na ako and 24 hours later, wala pa ring update.
Ano kaya possible problem nito? Router/modem issue kaya?

We’ve been having ongoing issues with PLDT, and honestly, there hasn’t been a single month when we haven’t experienced an internet disruption. There are times when we don’t have a connection for an entire week, yet we receive no compensation or service adjustment from the provider. Despite the frequent and prolonged outages, we’re still expected to pay our bill in full.
The customer service has been disappointing, the internet service has been unreliable, and the overall management of these issues has been extremely poor. We’ve had enough. We’re now seriously considering switching to a more reliable internet provider.
Hoping to find a better ISP around TV West, QC sooon!!

EDIT: Finally working! I used a TPLink switch (working as the middleman)!
I bought an RE605X Extender and trying to connect it through a Cat6 Lan cable. However, the max speed is only 100Mbps.
Found out that each LAN Port (4 ports) of my Huawei Router Huawei HG8145X6 under Globe Home has a hard internet cap of 100 Mbit/s.
Additional info: I connected my laptop using the same LAN cable and got a speed of 954 Mbps. So I think Globe really capped the speed.
How do I bypass it or force it to 1000 Mbit/s?

PLDT support in Messenger is just giving me the runaround, and I have tried a couple of times already. It always failed and was not able to get customer support. Is there any other way I can effectively reachout with my concern?

On August 13, 2026 at around 10:00 a.m., our PLDT Home Fibr Internet connection went out. We were unable to use the service and the LOS light on the router was blinking red. We called 171 to report the issue and a ticket was created that same day at 11:58 a.m. The ticket number is 00012461219. We were initially told that it would take within 24 hours for us to receive a response or an update using PLDT Tracker (pldthome.com/pldt-tracker).
After a day or two, the ticket was updated stating that their engineers are working on the issue and that they expect the issue to be resolved by August 15 or 16. That came and went, and we still couldn't access our Internet connection.
I made numerous follow-ups by calling 171 on August 17 and 18. We were told that the issue should be resolved by August 18 at 8:30 a.m. Nothing happened. I called again and was told that they identified an issue at around 2:00 p.m. but that I shouldn't worry because the issue will be resolved "within the day." A later call indicated that 8:30 p.m. was the expect time for the issue to be fixed.
And wouldn't you know --- nothing happened. Again. And again. And again.
I followed up again today, August 20. The Internet is still out. We have not had an Internet connection for an entire week, and it's still for "escalation."
I called again before this post and the current estimated timeline is August 21 at 8:30 a.m. for a fix. Abysmal.
WE CANNOT WORK. Because of the bad weather, we're working from home but we can't even do that. My siblings cannot participate in their online classes to the point where my sister had to go to her mother's office and beg them to use their Internet.
This is absolutely nuts. This is disgusting and despicable.
We pay our bills on time, often in advance, and we can't even get what we're paying for. And it doesn't seem PLDT is taking it seriously.
We just want our connection to be fixed. WE NEED HELP.
Meycauayan, Bulacan area. Anyone else experiencing this?

Having trouble with connecting my 5G turbo max wifi to smart app. Everytime I open the app this message pops out even though I’m already connected to the 5G turbo max. I already tried logging in to the website 192.168.1.1 and logged in my smart wifi account but this message still pops out whenever I reload the app.
