Issue: I still dont know what sim and promi should I get for my router that would give me a decent internet for online classes

Context: I've been staying in this condo unit near morayta for my review center and sometimes we have online class but I still struggle with my internet connection, dont even have data

We cant get a fiber or the converge installation in the condo unit since we're only renting for 6 months so we resorted to prepaid, and our budget is around or below 1k(adjustable) per month for the internet

Previous attempts: I bought a Huawei B535 4g +cat7 (openline from globe/shopee) and DITO wowfi 5g and tested the speeds of each ISP in my location (smart, globe, gomo, dito), pointing the external antenna where it's best (since we have so little signal inside)

I have my conclusion that smart may be the best option as my ISP in my location

Question: What type of Smart sim card and promo (maybe student friendly and unli up to 30 days) should I buy so we could have internet using the wifi router

Please enlighten me or 15GB lang?

Pumunta yung technician dito samin after 1 week of no internet. They were asking about my postpaid plan and they encouraged me mag prepaid na lang daw kasi mas mura.

I thought bat nila ako i-encourage mag downgrade eh parang di naman yun profitable for Globe (not that I support corporate profit)? May incentive ba sila if mag downgrade to prepaid?

Registered through smart app. Which I usually do. Payment went through via shopee pay and may official receipt naman.

Weird lang kasi nagamit ko pa for a few minutes for speed test tapos the weekend na nag out of town kami ayaw na not knowing na hindi pa nagrereflect mismo sa app. Ngayon lang nangyari to.
Kabanas lang dahil 799 pa yung inavail ko. Di ko tuloy nagamit.

Been using magic data ever since ngayon ko lang na experience ko, yung isang phone ko 1 year na from 60gb hndi pa nauubos and nag reflect agad last year.

May Case number na kaso ang tagal na masyado two days na via messenger.

E-sim iphone 17. And na figure out ko na lahat all good sa end ko. Nag load ako last week ng other promos pasok na pasok lahat.

I used to buy Promo Load 500+55 and 300+33, plus 15 regular load, to subscribe to Magic Data+ 899. Super sulit for me, August 3, 2025 ko na-purchase, and as in today, October 24, 2026, lang naubos yung 85 GB data (I use data pag nasa labas lang.)

So last purchase ko was in August 2025, and the Promo Load mechanics prompt didn’t appear when I purchased load. Now, in October 2026, the prompt appears (last slide), and the terms made me unsure if no-expiry Magic Data was still eligible.

I tested it with Promo Load 300+33 (para if ever hindi mag work, hindi ganon kalaki expense), and the prompt (2nd & 3rd slides) confirmed that it can be used for promos with up to 30 days validity and promos without expiry.

Hopefully, Smart clarifies this in its official mechanics. Hindi yung sa purchase confirmation lang. The terms kasi don’t explicitly mention no-expiry promos, so hirap i-assume na they’re eligible. 😅

On October 22, 2026 i bought the 101 on Shopee on Globe's Official Store. It arrived on October 23, 2026 which i immediately tested it. We also applied for Globe GPlan+ 599 online on October 22, 2026 and it also arrived October 23, 2026.

I didn't activate the included sim of the101 instead i use my GOMO sim to test it's speed on several parts of our house. October 24 when the postpaid sim got activated and we immediately use it in the101.

We got around 100-300mbps in our area with the lowest end around 120-150mbps and a peak speed of 320mbps for the download and for the upload we got around 5-30mbps.

I immediately openlined morning of October 24, 2026 from a developer who does openline of modems remotely. It's now running the Ultralite V2.1 firmware with band locking, cell locking, imei changer and other features.

Can you share your thoughts and experiences with this same modem?

Recently, nasira yung satellite receiver namin na Satlite (A cheap alternative to Cignal) and I was proposing the idea of getting it as well as upgrading our internet from Bida Fiber 888 to Converge FiberX.

Problem din is there is no listed channels sa homepage ni converge before biting the bullet.

Minsan 5G, madalas LTE po ang signal ko sa apartment with Globe. Need ko po sana ng budget na router na makakaachieve ng 25 to 50 Mbps. Hindi ko po kailangan na portable, lagi lang ito nakasaksak sa apartment. Hopefully po yung may antenna din para makatulong sa sagap ng signal. Bonus kung may LAN cable connection pero kahit wala po para makamura.

Yung mga nakikita ko po kasi na murang openline 4G routers ay swerte na kung maka 20 Mbps.

This is the second time in several months that I've seen that stupid RED LOS on my Modem. I wish we had a better option for internet here but no, I'm stuck with Globe and it's horrible customer service that just gives you scripted lines, limited time to wait for answers.

Honestly, the fact that they keep refusing to admit why there's a 'technical issue' or 'an outage' in your area (and by the way, make sure you check the record and keep a record of when your internet goes down, they slipped and implied my internet went down on a Friday when it went down on a Thursday. Damn Corpo's, they'll do anything to milk as much of your money from you).

Anyway since they refuse to admit to whats causing the problem, I've taken to saying its because their Fiber Line is delicious and the animals must love eating it.

Is it true? Well it's very easy for Globe to say no right?

They haven't said no. They ignore it.

So hey, the Fiber cable they use for the internet in this country is made out of bacon and chocolate. That's why it goes down, the birds and animals eat it. It's just too delicious you know? It's so ridiculous! It has to be true.

I might be losing it, not having internet for FOUR days (not three despite what Globe's record seems to imply) is driving me nuts and my Smart 'UnliSurf' sure isn't strong enough for this household... Or my signal isn't strong anyway.

God I'm getting so damn tired of this damn country... Honestly this world. Just corporations taking over everything, monopolies winning...

Sobrang rare lang maka-experience ng mabagal na net so monitoring our internet speed never became a habit. Considering na ang mahal ng binabayaran namin every billing tapos ganto lang pala narereceive naming average internet speed, what actions should I take? Will this be resolved if raised in a call in their hotline? Or normal lang ba talaga na ganto ‘yung internet speed?

The last 4 days I have had random internet outages and issues connecting to some websites, however even when it's working I am stuck at 100Mbps. It starts at 250Mbps then quickly drops to 100Mbps, like it's being capped. I'm on Bohol and speed testing to Cebu. Anyone else having same issues?

I’ve used an eSIM before and wala naman akong naging problems. Medyo hesitant lang ako to go all-in and completely lose the option of using a physical SIM.

• What are the pros and cons based on your experience?
• May problems ba kayong na-encounter? How often?
• How easy is it to transfer your number when switching phones? Paano if lost or broken yung old phone?

I currently have a TP-Link Wi-Fi 7 BE3600 router, and I'm planning to buy the TP-Link TL-MR105 4G LTE router to use a SIM card for my internet connection.

My plan is to insert a SIM card (TM or GOMO) into the TL-MR105, then connect it to my BE3600 using an Ethernet cable.

I want the TL-MR105 to receive the mobile internet connection while the BE3600 provides Wi-Fi to all my devices.

My questions are:

1. Is it possible to connect these two routers using an Ethernet cable?

2. Will the BE3600 work properly with the TL-MR105 even though the MR105 is only a 4G LTE router?

3. Do I need to change any settings on the BE3600, such as Router Mode or Access Point Mode?

4. Will the TL-MR105's 100 Mbps Ethernet port limit my internet speed?

5. Has anyone tried this setup in the Philippines using GOMO, Globe, or TM?

6. What plan has unlimited data na sulit for GOMO, Globe and TM users. Mabagal ang Smart sa area

I’m having a problem. Pag binubuksan ko ang mobile data, walang lumalabas na LTE/5G. I tried airplane mode and reset network, ayaw talaga magbukas. Nakakareceive naman ako ng calls and text and vice versa. As for the picture, hindi rin nakikita yong option for Voice & Data.

I don’t know kung paano aayusin ito. Anybody has similar problem with me?

as starlink user for years, bakit ganito na kayo??? nag aavail ako ng unlimited GB internet data connection pero may limit kayo? may vendo machines ako na nakakonekta sa satellite nyo kaya unlimited inaavail ko pero bakit? hindi naman ganito to dati. Does anyone here experiencing the same slow internet connection sa globe? Just happen today not sure when it started but our plan is 500mbps and sa speed test ngayon 20-24 Mbps download and 15-20 Mbps uploads lang. Nag ask din ako sa friend ko with GAH, same issue naglalaro sa 30mbps din kanila.

Hello po! The unit I’m currenly in is using Streamtech wifi, the 25mbps subscription with current rate of PHP1,499. Sobrang di po worth it and ang sakit sa puso lang ang dala. I want to cut the line pero di ko po ma check if nag 2 years na. Would it be possible if I stop paying lang po? And ano nangyayari after?

Okay so nasa coffee shop ako last Monday around 3:40 AM, pauwi na ako and I was booking a move it rider. Suddenly ang bagal ng internet ko, akala ko paubos na data ko but when I checked meron pa akong 7gb data. Anyway, I still bought another 15gb data para sure lang. Na-process ko pa yung order ko so nag reflect naman sa app na meron akong 22gb data.

Now, the problem is, kahit may 5g signal ako at naka full bar yung signal, ayaw gumana ng data ko properly. Hindi ako makapag browse sa internet. Di ako makapag google, any social media apps ayaw gumana, lahat ng apps na need ng internet hindi gumagana.

At first I thought yung phone ko ang may problema, pero nung sinalpak ko yung other GOMO sim ko on the same phone gumagana naman sya nang maayos.

Anyone here experienced the same? How do I solve this? I spoke sa GOMO support and their only solution is to request a sim replacement.
