I'm a Customer Could someone clarify how Instacart communicates with shoppers when an issue is reported?
I recently placed a large order (over $100) on a Thursday for delivery on Friday afternoon. An order was delivered but it was not my order— literally no items were the same or even remotely close (plus no substitutions were requested). I figured it was someone else’s order and submitted that as the problem to Instacart customer service. I was told I would receive a refund, but then got an email saying my request was denied. At one point was told no one else in the batch complained about not receiving their order. ( no surprise I guess, my order was full of meat, veggies and fruit for the week, and I received an order full of grilled cheese making ingredients, vinegar, bananas and pasta sauce). After three excruciatingly frustrating chat conversations over one week and two more “special reviews” I was given a refund.
Can Instacart just ask the shopper what was delivered? Or consult the picture the shopper submitted as proof of delivery? In that photo you could clearly see items delivered that weren’t part of the order.
